I literally said "I want to eat this entire thing" because it's THAT good. It is honestly the closest thing to perfection that I've ever eaten. This steak is.... Life. Food is phenomenal and for a reasonable price! My dad, grandma and I all went her 2 days ago and we had amazing burgers & I got fettuccine Alfredo. I have to say-- if you're a chips & salsa fan (or even if not), this is the place to go. Best homemade tortilla chips I've ever had. read more

Smoked BBQ chicken was very tasty, and they're offering takeout - the stand is just inside the door (at the door would be even better to keep customers from having to go inside in 2020). We stopped in while on the ATV trails. We both had a French Onion Soup. Very tasty- lots of real onions. Then just had finger foods and some cocktails. Waitress was full of energy and a happy soul. Would come back when snowmobiling. read more

Misty was our server and she did a great job. Very accommodating to our large party. This was the first Sunday they were open for a while so they were running out of some things we asked for but we were still happy. We never had to ask for drink refills and all of our orders were made correctly. Not to mention the food was delicious! Highly recommend! read more

Worth the drive if you're anywhere in the county or across the border. It's also right on the snowmobile trail which makes it a great stop for sledders. read more

I've heard a lot of great things. My husband and son ate lunch a couple of weeks ago and loved it. We went there today at 3 p.m., way too overpriced for the amount of food, homemade fries and chicken were warm to slightly cold and stale. (I Love my fries hot and fresh) waitress (not professional) barely offered to get fresh ones and never did get any. Ate cold fries. we barely saw her, 4 times exact, take order, bring drinks, bring food and 4th & last bill. (BTW my son asked for refill, she got him half a cup, and said 'I bet that's all you wanted to wash your food down' my 11 year old looked at me in shock. Never ever heard that from a waitress before. Stopped in here on a Saturday evening. I had the fried Icelandic Haddock dinner and my wife had an Enchilada from their Mexican, Cinco de Mayo menu. They started off our meal with a complimentary loaf of bread which was excellent and real, but hard to spread, butter. Our meals also came with a house salad which I'd say was average. I thought the fried haddock was great and so was the beef gravy on my mashed potatoes with lots of flavor. My wife usually tries to eat vegetarian, but the pickins were pretty slim for that. I tasted her enchilada and thought it was great too. I would have rated Boondock's a 4 star, but I think the prices were a little high. $14 for mine and $13 for hers. Since they don't really have many options here for vegetarians, I don't think we will be coming back any time soon, unless I come with someone else. read more

The food was delicious. For an appetizer we got broccoli cheddar bites. They came out prefect and so tasty! For a meal I got scallops and haddock. Both were delicious and prepared well. My date got a med rare burger that was perfect! First place around here to nail a med rare burger. We both got drinks that were good. New favorite place to eat. read more

We came here on Friday after Thanksgiving. It was pretty quiet in the restaurant for lunch. I got the steak tips and they were absolutely delicious! The fries were nice and hot. We also go the daily special (fried Haddock), it was alright, a little underseasoned. The Hot Chocolate Molten Lava Cake was so delicious! Very warm. The waitress was sweet. She checked in a couple of times. The restaurant was nice, clean, and a cozy atmosphere. read more

Very good restaurant but if you're an animal lover, close your eyes because there are many animals that are mounted in the restaurant. The owner is a hunter. I had stuffed mushrooms and they were very good. You can't go wrong if in the area and we actually went out of the way to go here, Worth the trip. read more

Had dinner on Friday evening. The seafood fritters for an app and the whole clam combo were both excellent. Not overcooked and the portions made the expense well worth it. I had a great leftover lunch the next day! I am looking forward to my next dinner there. read more

Food is ok but nothing special. Wings are good! My issue is with gratuity. Been going on Thursday's for Thirsty Thursday. Half price beer and appetizers. Parties of eight have the gratuity added even if your group is broken up into couples! I don't agree with this as gratuity is based on service and shouldn't just be added! Several of us, for weeks, did not know it was being automatically added to the bill. We are all good tippers regardless of the service. So for the last several weeks we have been tipping not knowing we are already being charged gratuity. After discovering this and pointing it out, the waitstaff became indignant! Not cool! Not cool at all! I gave a $40.00 tip the previous week thinking I was tipping $20.00. Very shady and not cool! Many I went with will not be back. Oh! Btw... because they started selling so many appetizers only the first one is half price..... guess what? They don't tell you that either. That kind of thing just cheapens and makes the owner look shady! All that being said, I enjoy the atmosphere and go to be with friends. I got political as a joke with my friends and the bartender was listening to us and called me out for saying "I love trump" to my friends as a joke. We have eaten here several times. Sometimes it is great, but then when it is bad it is REALLY BAD. Last August was a bad time. My husband and I had taken my sister and my best friend out, and they were out of there Porterhouse Steaks and Ribeyes, they did not know they were out of steaks when we ordered them. We ordered a vegetable and they were out of them and we had to choose baked beans. Those beans were so hard, they rattled in your plate and they were cold also. Well my sister and I went last Saturday evening and we ordered Flour Tortilla's with salsa, I took about 3 bites of salsa and a ground up bread tie was in our salsa. Our salads were horrid. Their salad is bag salad and taste like chemicals. Having to pay extra for a tiny salad is bad enough with your meal but one that take like chemicals is worse. They give you about a Tablespoon of dressing for your salad. I don't like overdressed salad, but you might as well serve it with nothing if that is all the dressing you get. They do have so great wait staff and then they have some that walk around lost. Their bread is great and we loved the flour tortillas and salsa, I don't know that I will ever try it again though. read more

I had the Scallops cooked in a special bourbon sauce. They were tender and delicious, not over-done. Service is home-town friendly, too. After fifteen minutes we checked with her and she said it wouldn't be much longer. After 30 minutes we asked again and were told she was "too busy." After 40 minutes and not even a drink we left. The food was average. Prices were abit on the high side especially for lunch. Not sure if there were 5 whole belly clams on my plate of fries. The food was definately not worth the money I shelled out. Read that a customer started there meal with a loaf of bread, maybe that's just dinner but again for the cost of lunch it would be nice for lunch as well. read more
