Don't let the name fool you! We just held an event for 21 people there (yes they have an event room!) and they provided a buffet with chicken parm, linguine in alfredo sauce and... baked cod! If you want to be shocked by how good something tastes, go to this shop and order a pizza. It's a little pricey but worth it because frankly it might be the best in an area known for good pizza. So many places have food that just doesn't taste as good as it used to, but this place is the answer to that. It's right there in downtown New Castle and has a drive through window. Absolute horrible experience. Had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my food because obviously someone forgot to make part of my order. In the process, food that was already given to me, was cold. Possibly my favorite pizza in New Castle. I really like the sauce and it is cooked well. I like their wings and spinach rolls but add sausage! The service is always good, they do get busy but I tend to just pick my orders up at the location. I've ate inside a few times and it is nice. Also if you stop in you can get single slices which is really cool. read more

This place easily has the best pizza I've ever had in Pennsylvania. I regret not trying it sooner. The prices are a bit high 17 dollars for a new york style 8 cut but the portions are very generous and they have a very far delivery radius. The delivery fee doesn't add much to the price and you can get a good sized pizza and a soda in person for less than 25 bucks. The food is delicious, the servers and other employees are always nice, overall nothing to complain about and happy to have established myself as a regular customer. The only thing I don't like is that they close at 8 most nights when other places in the area are open until 11 or midnight. read more

Can anyone say Pittsburgh? Pizza Man's Pizza reminds me of Mineo's Pizza House , or Aiello's Pizza Squirrel Hill on Murray! The 2 places I grew up on. From the feel of their restaurant, to the staff and man their pizza is incredible! No soggy bottoms from them, ever! They have pretty large sandwiches, and my husband also swears by their burger. But that pizza! Fresh dough (the pizza biscuit is the best part! (the crust)), fresh toppings, the sauce is not too sweet and is seasoned perfectly! Lovely portions for your money as well. Used to love the food, learning to hate the staff. They close early and don't fill phone orders or take the phone off the hook after 8:25 apparently because that's when I called and got put on hold for 10 minutes and then when I called back it was busy so I drove down before they closed and got there at 8:45 when they close at 9 and was told the ovens were already off. This is the pizza I've been looking for. Old School thick crust, plenty of cheese, great sauce, tasty crust(!). From the time we pulled in until the pizza was on my plate, I was skeptical. Everything about the place had me expecting it to be sub-par. I know that sounds really negative, but it's a no-frills pizza shop in a dimly lit block downtown, so experience says that it could very easily be bland or disgusting. It was not. We also ordered a slice of the "home style." It's a cheeseless square with seasoning on top... pretty good. The garlic knots were swimming in oil... not so good, although my son loved them. Even though they've been open almost a decade, I just found out about them. In another town, they'd be famous. In a hipper area and some changes in decor, (throw in some staff with bolder piercings and tattoos), and Death Cab for Cutie on the hi-fi, and they'd be getting $25 a pie. But they're in New Castle, and Lawrence County you're lucky to have them. Go there now. Unless now is Sunday. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered a grilled chicken salad today for lunch from a pizza place and its this good. The chicken is actual grilled chicken instead of that fake stuff pizza places usually carry, you know the processed meat that has pre grill marks in it and doesn't actually taste like grilled chicken. This salad was enormous all fresh ingredients! I will be ordering this a lot. This might be my go to salad place. read more

This was our first time to order from Poor Man's. I was surprised to learn they only sell 12 cut pizzas or slices, but ordered one anyway. We like mushrooms, so ordered them for our topping. We finally tried Pizza Man's Pizza last week and enjoyed their Stromboli' (we ordered 1 pepperoni and 1 mushroom) so much we returned the next evening and ordered 2 sandwiches (eggplant and the lamb). DELICIOUS! The restaurant is clean, lighting is nice and has a lot of seating. They have a loaded menu with a lot of variety, and really reasonable prices, plus you get a lot of food! They are easy to find, and has a parking lot next door. Everyone that we talked to (the owner and her staff) were very nice, polite and helpful. They also have daily deals to check out! First time here, pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Wait staff was very friendly, the owner even came over to say hello! The night I went there was a special on medium pizzas for $5. I added pineapple. I think it's an upcharge but no big deal. Crust, sauce, toppings, all fantastic. I loved every bite, I had to stop myself once I became full. Great pizza for the price! My wife got an Italian sub. I had a bite of that as well. she was raving about how good it was. I have to agree. Very delicious. Highly recommended. Overall great experience.
