The owner argued with my elderly mother because her food was over 20 minutes late. Refusing to give a refund, and didn't even know my mother's name to make it all worse. We supported this crap place for 20 years even though the flavor has gone bland and the workers became ignorant incompetent argumentative people. Never again! Go to Ali's or Pizza man's. read more

I was in town for work and came here from the reviews. It was decent but not impressed. 10/10 Staff was super nice and friendly. 9/10 Cannoli is was saved my visit. Delish. 6/10 Buffalo chicken was the only pizza that was warm but still wasn't anything special. 4/10 pepperoni sausage warm but not great 3/10 poor mans pizza. This pizza was cold. I don't know if I just came at the wrong time or what but most of my pizza was cold. Although even when the buffalo chicken was fresh it wasn't great. I got all my pizza by the slice and it was all ready when I got there but was not up to standard on temperature. I was going to go back inside to ask for new slices but I was short on time. I ordered from Mangino's in Mahoningtown, New Castle Pa. for the first time last night. 2 Italian Supreme Sub's, fries, and one piece of sausage pie. I ate one half of a Italian sub and a small amount of fries. My son was going to take the other sub for lunch the next day, A few hours later I started having severe stomach cramps lasting for hours. I was nauseated also some vomiting, the stomach cramps lasted all night. I still felt some nausea for hours the next day. I called to speak to someone at Mangino's the next day, the lady I spoke to claimed to be the owner, she was rude and had no concern or compassion. She denied that any thing in her building could have made me sick. I also ask her about the meat used on the sandwich that it was not what was described in the menu. I even told her I would bring the sub's in to show her the meat didn't look like what was described I actually thought it was bologna. She insisted that I don't bring anything and she was done talking to me, again denying any responsibility. So I had to throw away one and half Subs and almost a whole box of fries since I don't know what caused the food poisoning. read more

Where do I even start when it comes to Manginos? Everything here is absolutely spectacular. The fresh tomato pizza is incredible, the meatball pizza and meatball sandwiches are out of this world and the pepperoni rolls are enough to write a book about. Good wings and pizza. The pizza sauce was sweet not use to that but it was good. The wife had the spinach roll she said with the Marinara sauce was worth it and she would order it agin. The cookies were great she had the chocolate I had the ones with almond and raspberry filling. Over a good experience I will give it a second try. read more

Is there a shortage on boxes that I'm not aware of? Why would a pizza shop place pieces of pizza on top of each other only to have them smashed and al I the sauce stuck to the bottoms???? This is the best pizza in the New Castle area. The buffalo chicken pizza is one of my favorites. If looking for a sub, the meatball dugout is amazing, 1/2 a loaf of Italian bread hollowed out and stuffed with meatballs. read more

I stopped in at Mangino's while on the job due to a customers recommendation! The staff was friendly but that was about the only good thing about Mangino's! All my slices were cold and rather tough. The sauce was rather sweet which I'm not a huge fan of but it wasn't terrible. Both of the rolls I got were rock hard and cold, like they were refrigerated. It didn't seem like anything I ordered was fresh and everything I ordered was cold, and the worst part is how much I paid for mediocre and cold food! read more

I turned 16 in 1986 and got my driver's license and was eager to check out the local food joints. Mangino's was my "go to" place for dinner on Friday nights. I tried to eat healthy food all week that my Mommy cooked for me, but on Fridays I would celebrate a tough week at school by stopping by Mangino's and buying either pepperoni rolls or a large stromboli and washing it down with an ice cold Pepsi. They were very greasy back then but also very tasty! Do they still have them? I moved away from the area about 20 years ago and havent been there since. read more

Best pizza in New Castle for sure but that doesn't quite say enough about manginos they also do a ton of great italian specialties such as meatball dug outs and the local favorite wedding soup. Takeout food only and I hear they only make a set amount of pizza so when it's sold out for the day they close. also they're closed Sunday. read more

The pizza is pretty forgettable, resembling Augustine's, but the Dug Out - OMG - I come all the way from Texas for this! A loaf of Italian bread, insides removed, stuffed with huge meatballs, sauce and provolone, then sealed back up. The best meatball sandwich EVER. read more

We moved to New Castle a year ago and several people suggested Mangino's for great pizza. Tonight we decided to give it a try. To say the least we will not be back. Our pizza looked great but was not to our liking. We through most of it away and at grilled cheese instead. Two stars for looks and having a cute shop with some othe items for sale. Was there for the first time and was greatly disappointed. Service was not very good from the counter girl. The pizza is not good. The crust is tasteless and tough and the sauce so-so. Not worth the money I paid. Only thing good about the pizza was that they were generous with the toppings. Won't be back there. Lots of other pizzas are much better elsewhere! read more

Mangino's roni rolls are the best!! They have a variety of Italian food choices and all the food I've ever gotten from there was great! They don't deliver, but you can call ahead so your food is hot & ready when you get there!! read more
