The indoor eating area was closed so that upset us as a bad first impression, however we were there to order and pickup to go. You're probably wondering why the 5 stars however. The quality of the pizzas are amazing, and it's worth the added price for the quality you're getting. We had a rather large order and it took about 50 minutes to make from scratch to box. We ordered the following pizzas: Spinach Ricotta Calzone style - 5/5 Veggies & Ranch Chicago style - 5/5 BBQ chicken with onions - 5/5 Ham, Pineapple, & roasted peppers NY style - 5/5 Sausage and pepperoni - 4/5 Compare the quality to Scotto's or Giovanni's. I would say the pizza is less greasy than Giovanni's but there are slightly less toppings and the flavor is the same as their two competitors. The slight price increase appears due to be due to the quality and care that the pizzas are put together. read more

I read other comments, saying "it's not NYC pizza", that is correct but it's very good in it's own right. If you want NYC pizza go to NYC like I do. I live 20 miles away in Ohio. There are three things that bring me to the Hermitage / Sharon area besides granddaughter. - Aldos Pizza - Mobogo Pho soup - In-Style nails for Pedicures. Well worth the trip. Aldo's has the best pizza. I have been coming here for years, and going other places... but I have decided nothing compares. Their veggie pizza is just so amazing. Others try but they fail. Also, their thin crust pepperoni is the best; its cooked perfectly and everything stays on the slice and its not too flimsy, the bottom is somehow still perfectly crispy. They also have a lot of other things to eat and one of my favorites is their philly steak sandwhich, it's probably the best steak sandwhich I have had in a long long time. Have gone to Aldo's numerous times and their Stuffed Jumbo Seashells are the best I have ever had. I was raised by an Italian immigrant who taught me how to make authentic Italian food and Aldo's is the Real Deal! Their sauce is the BEST! The mixtures of cheeses and seasonings inside the 3 Jumbo Stuffed Seashells is Excellent. You get real Italian bread and a decent salad too. Calzones have all the quality ingredients but when asked baker why they are always almost black on the bottom he said, "they have to be cooked that way to get the insides cooked.) O might suggest they use thick pizza dough instead of thinner bread type dough to standup hardier and cook at a lower heat maybe. Yum! We lived everything we tried. The pizza options were amazing. We tried broccoli pizza. It was great. My calzone was huge. We even purchased dessert for the road. We thought we would try this place bc of yelp reviews but we were terribly disappointed . Maybe their pizza is what they were reviewing. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs and I had chicken parmigiana. The red sauce on both was bitter and tasted old. Meatballs tasted like frozen store bought and chicken patty's breading was soggy. Small place. You can sit down or take out. They have tons of slices - square, regular, buffalo chicken, veggie, chicken bacon ranch, etc. I haven't had a bad slice. Was told that they have the best steak sandwiches so I gave it a try and wasn't blown away but it wasn't bad. read more

Really great place. I wish more places in the area had the same standards as they do. Great food, great service. I've only had the subs, soup and pizza off of the menu, but everything has always been really good. They serve slices and that is really big plus for the area. Very few if any places like that in town. The place is always clean and the staff is always friendly. They do close for about a month or so in the summer time... I dont like that..good for them...bad for me..ha...I look forward to when they come back and re-open every year!! read more
