Pizza posto is hands down the best pizza in Edinburgh! Some of the best food we had! Great service and menu!

The ambiance is lovely, apart from the random satanic "happy birthday" ritual mid-meal where they turned the lights red and blared creepy happy birthday music very loud. Otherwise very pleasant!!! Food was greasy and unimpressive. I would help them go back to the kitchen and cook it better if I could. Thanks!

This was the first meal I had after arriving in Edinburgh, and after several months in the city, it's still one of the best meals I've had both in terms of value and food quality. As a burrata lover, I knew I had to order the #5. The biggest and best surprise of the night was when my pizza arrived and there was an ENTIRE hunk of burrata placed front and center. If you're as big of a burrata fan as I am, I'd highly recommend ordering this pizza- it's been a few months since I dropped by, but I think about it on a near daily basis

The special. Each quarter had something different: mushrooms, prosciutto, Italian sausage, artichokes.

Pizza Posto is great. I ordered the special pizza, which contained a couple slices with artichokes, a couple with pepperoni, a couple with prosciutto, and a couple with mushrooms. I also had their beer that was on tap. That pizza had great flavor. The servers were pleasant and accommodating. The service was great. Bonus: the table next to us couldn't finish their Prosecco and gave it to us! Thank you to the two ladies. There is also a ramp, so the restaurant is accessible.

Burrata Focaccia & some yummy drink I forgot the name of :)

Came here on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint! In fact I came back for dinner again the next night. Ask for Francesco, he's amazing! Between the food, the service, the drinks, it's well worth visiting!

Pizza Posto has the most unbelievable pizza. Taste is absolutely fantastic, crust is perfect. If you like pizza you will not want to leave this place. Is a must stop for every pizza lover!

Nr 10 was great, but the other ones are probably just as good!

Friendly service, got greeted and placed at a table straight away. It was few in the restaurant though so I wouldn't have expected something else. I was surprised how quickly the pizza arrived and it was really tasty. I had the most expensive one and I would expect the standard pizzas to be more value for money (home made Napolitano sausage for around 6-9 £ is quite good!). Not quite as good as my favourite restaurant in Italy, but surely well worth a visit!

A pleasant surprise in the overloaded pizza restaurant market of Edinburgh. Pizza Posto is located opposite to the Festival Theatre, on Nicolson Street, where a decade ago used to be the infamous Ti Amo restaurant. First things first, front of house (which ever waiter is free-ish) accommodated me in no time in one of its front tables, which was a bit drafty as single window panels have no sealant between them, but it wasn't a big deal. I ordered the pizza number 5 with spicy Italian salami, mozzarella, tomato base and olive oil plus mushrooms as an extra topping. The order took a bit long to arrive as the pizza chefs were dealing with a couple of over-populated tables. The service was efficient but a bit detached. The number 5 looks really good and healthy (AKA no dripping grease) and tasted like the genuine article as you can identify and degust the main flavours, from the properly made pizza dough, to the good quality mozzarella, aromatic tomato sauce and the tasty but not that fiery spicy salami. The added mushrooms came from an oil marinated mushrooms flask rather than their fresh counterpart, nevertheless it was a great flavour addition to the number 5. The quality/price ratio was really good as the number 5 was £ 8 + £ 1 for the extra topping, a price that cannot be beaten in the Edinburgh catering scene. I'll certainly go back to try some other flavour combinations. Recommended.

Really good wood oven thin crust pizza in Edinburg. Walk 5 more minutes past the chains - Prezzo, PizzaExpress for something much better.

    Review Highlights - Pizza Posto

It looks fairly new, and is kind of in a busy area near the uni and the Festival Theatre, so I wonder why it wasn't so busy when I popped in.

He made great wine recommendations and treated us very well. This restaurant has a certain hustle and bustle of a busy Italian restaurant, but still captures the intimate feeling of closeness with their seating area. We decided to start with Focaccia and it wasn't disappointing! It had a crisp exterior with a nice, fluffy interior. The Focaccia had just the right amount of oil and salt to make it the perfect starter. Despite having a delicious line-up of pasta, I just had to go with the pizza. Once again, I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The pizza had some of the most delicious sauce I've had in a while. The cheese was perfectly melted and the crust featured a similar structure to the Focaccia. What really set the pizza apart was the chili oil our waiter drizzled on top. I'm so glad I took him up on his offer because it added a pleasant spicy kick to the pizza. I was also able to sample my wife's vegan pizza. She also decided to go with the chili oil and her pizza was some of the best vegan pizza we've experienced together. It was packed with delicious vegetables and the mozzarella vegan cheese wasn't too heavily applied, nor did it give the extra gooey mouth feel that vegan cheese often has. Combined with the chili oil, it was a wonderful experience. I'm so glad we made it out to Vittoria.

I was happy to find an Italian restaurant in Scotland since I was looking for some comfort food. The interior has lots of seating space in separate little rooms. It's all one connected space, but there are separators and barriers around the sections, if that makes sense. There's seating for larger and smaller groups, and I was immediately seated at a table by myself. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the arancini and seasonal risotto. I told you, I wanted CARBS. The arancini was gooey and cheesy and fantastic and came with a spicy tomato salsa. The perfect appetizer. The risotto was divine! It came in a parmesan cheese crisp bowl and had a parm cheese base, pears mixed in, and balsamic vinegar drizzled on top with some arugula. Everything came together for one delicious, decadent meal. The portion was also huge and I had plenty left over for another meal. My server and I talked about cats and I instantly felt welcomed in Edinburgh and at La Favorita. If you like Italian food, I definitely recommend hitting them up!

Not least because the twinkly-eyed waiter called me "young lady" - this kind of complimentary talk earns anyone an instant tip as far as I'm concerned. This eatery is the kind of classic, traditional Italian experience which has to produce at least a smile from visitors, even if you've had the worst day at work ever/been dumped/dropped your favourite ornament/are a generally grumpy individual. I opted for the Risotto Imperiale, a tasty, well presented, affair, which came with jumbo, juicy prawns and a langoustine with one claw perched on top of a generous portion of rice and champagne sauce. My very critical fellow diner, definitely a pizza enthusiast, went for the Pizza ai due Salami, which after a few minutes of careful munching he announced was "very good", definitely high praise for him, before continuing to devour the rest of his meal, (only offering me a small slither). La Favorita has a pretty extensive menu, with all the dishes on offer you would expect from an Italian restaurant, so if you've got a craving for decent pasta and pizza somewhere different, where you're not paying over the odds, take a wander away from the centre of town and get down to Leith Walk.
