After a long day of traveling we wandered in here late. The owner was lovely and chatted with us while they made our pizza. The pizza was incredible with quality ingredients! This shop is tiny and might have enough room for a couple of people.

I am glad this place is close to me as my flatmates and I were able to walk-in to collect our pizza instead of delivery, which also saved us money. Note that if you do collection, you get 30% off all 10' pizzas! The space is small with only one table inside and a few outside (if weather permits). On display are a line of various olive oils to add onto your pizza as well. I opted for the Chilli N Ribs 10' Pizza (£6.50), which consisted of tomato passata, slow cooked beef ribs in Innes & Gunn, jalepenos, red onion, and mozzarella. It was nice that they got all of our orders together even though we paid separately, which was quick too. We each had our own 10' pizza and was overstuffed by the end of it. I probably shouldn't have finished the entire thing, but it was so delicious! I have to say that I really enjoyed their thin fire-oven dough with unique toppings. My only drawback is that they really skimped on the ingredients --there were only a couple pieces of beef ribs and onions on my pizza unfortunately.

This place was great! The two gentlemen working there were friendly + helpful. The space itself was super cute down a charming little street. And the pizza was delicious! Definitely worth it for a casual yummy meal in Edinburgh!

Great neighborhood pizza place. It's very small, only one table inside, a little counter and a few tables outside. Nice interior and fast service. The dough is thin and delicious. I would have liked a little more of the toppings!! They don't serve any alcohol but they let you bring your own. We brought a bottle of wine and had FUN! They deliver as well. If you find yourself in Edinburgh, stop by or order in, you won't be disappointed.

Great to see a new business open that is getting so much right. Great pizza. A serious rival for La Fav which is no mean feat. Our Saturday night delivery came faster than we expected (approx 30 mins) to Newhaven and was ace. Really good value for money.

Dough is located so close to my office that it's a daily struggle not to give in and get pizza for lunch every day. But equally, one slice, however generous that slice is, could not suffice. And so it is that more often than not I order the chef's special. Which is the only sandwich that Dough sells. It's a Tuscan sausage, fried onions and foccacia sandwich that is pretty delicious. You do have to ask for sauce, and I'd recommend doing so as despite it being very tasty it is a little lacking without it. The main offering is of course the pizzas, which are lovely. The slices are reasonably priced and are a quarter of an entire pizza, but I'm greedy and they don't satiate my appetite. And I can't bring myself to order an entire pizza for lunch. Actually I'm pretty sure there is a lunchtime 10" version so next time I'm unable to resist I might have to go for that... Mmmm pizza....

It's a TINY little place in Rose Street and the downside is there's really no seating. A small bistro table inside and 2 picnic tables outside (that's not helpful in cold or rainy weather). But really, that's the only downside. The wood fired pizzas are REALLY good. Maybe the best I've found in Edinburgh. They're made to order with a wide variety of fun toppings or create your own. I was surprised how fast your pie is made and ready. Really fast! And they run a lunch special with a 10" pie for half the price of the regular 18" pie. I had a pizza and bottled water for 5£. And it was a great pizza!!

Walked a ways for this pizza. Staff were really friendly. Place is small with not much seating. Have surprisingly good selection of beer.

Ufff! Best pizza in Edinburgh. Thin crust, full of flavor! It's not cheap, but it's totally worth it!

These pies are a great light lunch or snack when consumed by themselves. Or one can get a variety of them and make it a meal. The pies are made fresh daily and displayed in the glass case at the counter along with other British style fried foods such as Tattie Dogs, Sausage Rolls, etc. There are a variety of the infamous pies offered. We tried a Steak and Ale pie and an Original Scotch Pie with brown sauce packet for the pour over. I enjoyed mine (Scotch Pie) and could've eaten a couple more God willing. Along with an Irn Bru, this was a satisfying and affodable meal. Definitely give this place a try when in the area.

They make perfect snack sized pastries that let you try a variety without getting too full. Compared to other local pasty shops their baked pastries use better ingredients and are better cooked. I love how flaky and golden colored the pasties were. You'll find a variety of traditional pasties here as well as some unique creations worth checking out. My kids loved the hasbrowns wrapped around a sausage so much we ordered an extra one even though they said they weren't hungry before. This is located in a busy area and there are a small amount of seats inside against the window and a small table next to the drinks. There isn't any seating or place to sit outside so I wouldn't plan on eating here.

One evening in Berkeley, California, out to dinner with some friends at a Korean restaurant, I…read moreshared that I was heading to Scotland in July of 2019 and asked if anybody had been and had any recommendations for places to go. Probing why I was going a little, they got out of me I am of the Gordon Clan of Aberdeenshire, a Scotland of Old clan. One of my friends exclaimed, "Gordon!" He paused, looked me directly in the eyes and said, "You know we're rivals right?!" He is Nate James Lindsey. A member of the Lindsey Clan, one of the Gordon Clan's rival clans in Scotland of Old. Once we addressed our rival ancestries, he recommended to me The Baked Potato Shop in Edinburgh, the city I was flying into/out of for my first trip not only to Scotland, but to Europe as well. Well, I might as well go I thought, how bad can a rival clan recommendation be. The night I arrived in Edinburgh, 5 July 2019, I entered The Baked Potato Shop and was greeted by a friendly worker. After looking over the menu, I went with a baked potato loaded with vegan chilli and vegan Macsween haggis. After placing my order, paying, and getting the baked potato I thought the only thing missing from my first ever evening in Scotland was bagpipe music. No sooner had I thought that than I heard the sounds of bagpipes wafting across the cobbled lane out front of the Shop. Across the cobbled lane I went, lured by the wail of the bagpipes. After listening for a bit and providing a tip I returned to the guest house I was staying the night at. The food was delicious and filled my travel-tired belly. The haggis was the first I had of any kind, vegan or non-vegan, and it was an immediate favorite. Offset from my departure time zone by 8 hours, I went to sleep soon after eating. I woke up early the next morning ready to go. Turns out the baked potato and toppings cured my jet lag in less than 24 hours, quite remarkable. What a way to end my first day in Scotland, a recommendation from a member of a rival Scotland of Old clan yields tasty food. I will however note that I am also of Irish descent, so I am still not sure what to make of the recommendation in light of the Irish Potato Famine... Ahhh, Scotland of Old lives on.
