So glad I found this place! In town from Austin, TX for a quick meeting at the nearby college, so I didn't have many opportunities to try a local spot for Detroit style pizza. We have a few good spots in Austin but I wanted to see what the locals serve up and I was not disappointed at all. Lots of options, I settled on the Hawaiian style. Bonus: the friendly staff didn't tease me too much (to my face anyway) about my questions about their Detroit style pizza. Highly recommend this spot! read more

We were hungry sitting at Handmap tonight and my friends decided to order pizza and garlic bread from Pizza Rescue. It's our first time eating here OK....and we are glad we did! It was so good!! We got an olive and pepperoni pizza. It was a thick pan pizza, crispy and tasty. The garlic bread with the crowd favorite. I had to stop myself at two pieces' Great addition to our Friday night. Pizza was good a Detroit style made. We got cheese bread that was good but didn't come with sauce. Also order 2 grinders with the bread was good but they aren't your typical toasty crunchy ones. Hubby got a BLT and for some reason it was dripping and soggy. Bacon wasn't crispy either so he never finished it. I got an Italian one which wasn't toasted. Seemed heavy and almost soggy also. Service was great and people were nice. We just like toasted and a little more oven baked grinders. read more

I had takeout from this place while doing a vaccine clinic in Battle Creek. I will say that while the crust was good, the ingredients have a lot to be desired and they overstuffed it with the toppings. I didn't expect much out of it. A positive though is that their takeout service is pretty quick. read more

Pizza was a very nice variation from most other pan pizzas I have had. The crust was light and not greasy with a crisp edge. Toppings were plentiful along with just the right amount of cheese and I love extra cheese so I was very satisfied. Very good flavor. You need to try this hidden gem of a pizza restaurant I don't think you'd regret it! read more

Knowing one of the co-owners as a high character and big-hearted man, I drive out of my way to see their new pizza venture. Top notch! Excellent Detroit-style pizza. Crispy edges with homemade dough and tasty sauce--and the get outta here moment was less than $12 for a large double cheese pepperoni to bring home! In Traverse City many pies like this would be $25-28 and not as good. I will be back to support these two young men and their group who are also supporting a good cause donating to pet rescues. ordered from doordash. delivery was free and fast! the pizza was delicious! perfect amount of sauce and a generous amount of cheese and toppings! we were able to get half with toppings and half with just cheese. the mozzarella sticks are good too, really crispy. we didn't order any ice cream but received two small cups, assuming it was a mistake but it was also good! read more

Is there a zero star option? The name is super fitting, this pizza DEFINITELY needs rescued. The staff was rude, and the add on costs on their breakfast were ridiculous. I'll stick with Pennfield Pizza. read more

not bad. taste pretty good. sauce was really good. not a fan of thick crust. I realize that this is considered "Detroit style deep dish", but to me it's more like a pizza bread. I probably would go back just because the sauce is good and the over all taste is satisfying. read more
