I love a barber where I can walk-in and get immediate service. Something to note is that the owner, Madeline, does have summer hours where she closes at 4:00pm rather than the usual 5:00pm. Even though I arrived at 4:00pm, she was more than happy to service me. She's a great conversationalist and gave me a wonderful haircut at a low price of $10. Something to note is that you need to park in the right parking spot since the owner of Sister Curls will come out and force you to exit her parking space if parked in the wrong space. read more

Went looking for a cheap haircut when I first got to town and looking through Yelp, Pizzazz looked like the place for me. I've since been 3 times and love the relationship I've been able to build with Madlyn! It's always a riot when we are together. She is very good at what she does and the price can't be beat. Before my last haircut, I had tried to clean up the back of my head using clippers at home. When I came in and asked Madlyn how it was, she graciously pointed out that I had made a royal mess of myself and trimmed a two inch swath through my head! She did an excellent job fixing my mistake, joking with me about my goof, giving me styling tips, and nursing my wounded pride. :P I feel like I am always able to ask Madlyn any question about my hair or how my haircut is going. Multiple times I have said something like "I wish my hair looked more like this..." or "do you think trying this would work?" and every time Madlyn is able to answer my question and/or respond to my request. I always leave feeling great about my cut and having had a good time. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great haircut from a great stylist at a great price! read more

I took my two boys here for a spring haircut. They were long overdue and Madlayn was fantastic. She asked what their cuts normally look like so I shared some photos. She was so kind to the boys when they were in the chair and complimented them through the haircut. This helped them since they are 3 and 5 and sometimes react different with strangers. Great haircut, great price! Good conversation too! Hours change a bit when students are out of town, so for spring break, summer and winter break. But you can always call her voicemail to see if she is open or if hours have changed at all. I've been here three times now and usually the line is not too long as long as you don't go at peak times, such as late afternoon when the students finish class. But if you go between 11 and 1 you probably shouldn't have to wait too long. read more

This is a small shop with one barber (the owner, Madlayn) and she is the best person ever. Super friendly and very easy to hold a conversation with. I went in right when she opens from break and got seated on the chair at 1:30 sharp. Overall, I am very pleased with my haircut and the service Madlayn gives. My charge was $14 before tip. I began getting haircuts at Pizzazz in Fall 2016, through a friend's recommendation. I described the style that I wanted and she delivered completely! I was quickly converted into a loyal customer through Madelyn's very competitive prices, the high quality of her haircuts, and her friendly personality. At the time of this writing, she charges $14 for a standard cut and $15 for a specialty cut (hard parts and things like that). Most of her customers seem to be loyal returnees like myself. Wonderful lady, but didn't really do what I asked her to do, cut too short where I asked for it to stay longer. Rough edges, etc.

She's pretty nice, but got passive aggressive throughout the haircut. She doesn't know how to cut male Asian hair, it was very mediocre. I was disappointed on multiple occasions hoping she would get it right. It is convenient how you don't need to make an appointment, its 10 bucks, charges more for things like washing your hair if you have product before you come in. read more

You don't find a $10 haircuts this close in the city that comes with unbeatable treatment. Madlyn really loves people and treats everyone who comes through her door with nothing but love. This is my second haircut with her. I read some reviews here on Yelp before my first and thought "this lady sounds pretty cool." She is awesome! 15 minute haircut with about a 10 minutes conversation afterward and left with a smile. This time I was the last cut for her, 15 minute hair cut again, but after I stayed for two hours just talking with Madlyn. Sharing stories and wisdom, but we mostly talked about how God has worked in our lives. This woman loves God and everyone that comes through her door. She told me when she started her business she wanted to be reasonable for the students who came to her and to make sure they knew they are valued.
