This place popped up with good reviews, so we stopped in to order take out. It's in the old part of the city and very small, so after ordering we waited outside. After only about 5 mins, our hot delicious pizza was ready! They even cooked my gf pizza in its own container and didn't cut it to prevent cross-contamination. This will be a short and simple review - and regardless of this establishments historical "3 star" rating, just understand that several of the reviews here are many years old. We were searching for gluten free pizza as my father is sensitive to gluten. All the locals and hotel staff pointed to this place. It did not disappoint. It is cute and off the beaten path because many folks walk by the other parallel street and this is on a smaller alley like street. Great vibe. Had the calzone and was pretty good. Not horrible, but I could've skipped this place. Came in around 6:30pm, so it was empty (no surprise there, as Italians usually have later dinners). After a day of hiking, we put our water bottles on the table and were immediately told we couldn't have it on the table and that we had to order their water. So friendly to tourists huh? I don't get it, but I get it, so just come possibly expecting that. The prices were decent because the pizzas were huge! Would've I know, I would've just split one with my cousin. This place deserves a better overall rating. It's cheaper than many places in town and is most likely to be a crowd pleaser. They have a gigantic menu with every pizza topping combination imaginable, which is a life-saver if anyone in your party has dietary restrictions or is picky. The pizza itself is quite tasty; we had one with stracciatella that was particularly indulgent and yummy. It's not the best pizza in Italy but you're not in cinque terre for the food :) Lots of people doing takeout, which I don't understand since the pizza really needs to be eaten while it's hot out of the oven. Service was nothing amazing but no complaints. Pizza takes a bit longer to arrive than you'd expect, likely due to all the takeout orders. read more

Great gluten free pizza! This place is more touristy than a lot of places in the Cinque Terre, but the gluten free pizza is legit. The crust is the best we've ever had except for Ciro & Sons in Florence. It's better than any we've had in the US, and we've had a LOT of gluten free pizza. Other than that, it's not remarkable. Most of the pizza is made with mozzarella, not buffala. The house wine is good. It's fairly unremarkable, except for the quality of the gluten free pizza, the only place in the Cinque Terre that has it. If you are gluten free, you will really, really enjoy this pizza, and I highly recommend it. read more

Definitely the worst pizza I've had in Italy and I've lived here for two years and visited multiple times. The crust was black, not the tasty kind but the whoops we forget to take it out kind. Cinque Terre, like many touristy places, does have the potential for disastrously bad restaurants which do NOT go out of business (like one that would rely on local business). I think that's the deal with this pizza place. the people working here seemed nice enough but this place was mediocre to pretty bad, all around. In this region, in the springtime, there is just no reason to put CANNED anchovies and CANNED artichokes on a pizza. I would suggest shortening the menu choices signficantly (it's really not necessary to have 50 combinations to choose from), and making great pizza with the amazing local ingredients. If the price has to go up by 1€ per pizza, so be it. . We ordered a bottle of chianti, and the waiter just grabbed the display bottle sitting (upright) on the display of wines available, from the back of the booth next to us. Unfortunately it tasted like it had been sitting in the sun all of last sumer (the label was even faded). Just to top off the experience, the TV was blaring the whole time. The proprietor of our hotel recommended this place to us for pizza so we gave it a shot. The restaurant is small and modest, but is a fast, friendly and efficient operation. They have a thousand different pizza combinations to choose from, which can be a bit overwhelming. However, when surveying the menu focus on the ones that satisfy a particular craving and you won't go wrong. Please avoid the hotdog and french fry pizza unless you are under 6 years of age. There is a new breed of house fly at this place which has a taste for human blood -- My wife and I were reduced to try this place out after everything else was closed during the afternoon break period. They had over 100 choices of pizzas, but could not substitute spicy salami for ham on one of their pre-programmed pizzas. The mushrooms they used looked canned and therefore the ingredients were very different from the fresh ingredients used by other restaurants in the area. The salad was bland and bitter. Worst of all, there were about 20 house flies buzzing around in our patio booth and the weird thing Is they attacked us and not our food -- must say something about the quality of the food. DISGUSTING place in every way. Never in my life have i experienced something like this. I went in to have pizza with my family. The waitress was extremely rude from the beginning. She kept making angry faces as if we didn't order enough. She wouldn't let my aunt sit because she didn't order anything. The girls working were popping each other's pimples in the kitchen which ultimately made us leave. The waitress then yelled, called me a bitch and threw my water at me. Are you an English-speaker with Celiac Disease?! Me too! And let me tell you, this place made my whole week. I'd been searching for the right gluten-free pizza all over Italy, and here I finally found it. Most items on the menu can be made gluten-free. The servers speak English extremely well and were very helpful and informative about what I could and could not eat. I may or may not have eaten the entire pie... Still, I have no regrets. It was worth it. My boyfriend got a non-gluten-free pie and he also absolutely loved it. We had the house red wine, and even that was exceptionally delicious, especially compared to house reds in the US. It was lively and small, but don't let the size let you think it was cramped or crowded. It was really a perfect Italian atmosphere, lots of friends and family sitting around tables laughing and drinking wine, with the door of the restaurant open to the street, letting in the sea air and the sounds of the town. Warm limp iceberg salad with only olive oil for dressing, didn't eat it. All 3 pizzas were served nice and hot, crust good but barely edible due to high level of added salt. While eating in with our friends and family of seven, they served my pizza and my daughters on an aluminum pizza container on top of a ceramic white plate. The rest of our family who are not gluten free had their pizza on just the ceramic plate. I was happy to see that. Now, for the pizza itself. The crust is thin and cracker like. Delicious!
