If I am to compare this place with the other Italian cuisine options in Prague, I have to give it two stars, as on the grand scale, there are many better Italian experiences to chase across Prague. However, this does not mean that it's a horrible spot - if you need somewhere to sit down for a meal and a glass of wine right at Vaclavske namesti, it might be actually be a decent option.
Compared to the many tourist traps locales at Vaclavske namesti, this one is decently priced and the food and wine are good value for what you pay (cca 150 crowns per main). At least that was my and my friends' experience this week - this was my first time, I am not a regular.
All three of our pasta mains were quite tasty (my meaty dish was perhaps a little on a greasy side, but it was no disaster). There was no parmesan cheese to share for the table, and when I requested some, we ended up being charged for extra cheese - so that was a bit of surprise. The ice cream sundae desserts were lovely, though, and overall it was an ok dinner.
Unlike some of the reviewers below, we had no problem with the service - both the ladies waiting on us were lovely.
I like that is a non-smoking restaurant, so I would probably go there again maybe not for a main meal, but to have a nice glass of wine in the center and some side nibbles in a non-smoking environment. read more
