However, when I called to discuss it with the owner, he was more than happy to help. He went through and investigated the situation/preference cards, did not blame it on staff, all while trying to provide the best customer service he could. They were able to fit my two dogs in last minute which I appreciated and they did an excellent job. Even if it was a sub optimal groom, having an owner who works with customers to try and navigate problems and make them right makes this business stand out. Thank you!

After calls to other places and to Happy Camper it was clear Happy Camper would be the best place for my 15-year-old baby girl. That all the forms and sending documents could be done electronically was beyond fantastic. My Couscous came home, happy, healthy, and relaxed -- and maybe a little disappointed she wasn't still there. I recently had to go back into the hospital so again needed to board Couscous again with no planning time. Happy Camper welcomed her. I think the best thing a dog parent can hear about a place is what their dog says: As Couscous realized where she was going, she got excited and wagged all her rear body parts in excitement.

With the right tenderness and attention to detail, any one can do a great job. Some can do a great job quickly without sacrificing quality. Ridge Dog Shop does all of dat. Without much effort. Both times I brought my dog there, I called last minute. Now, I have a pug, so he's more manageable but still. The only reason I am not a regular is because they are farther away from where I live. They are the only people I trust with my dog. They make it super easy to make appointments and last minute accommodations. The only thing is that she is ALWAYS the last dog to get cut. It doesn't matter what time I drop her off at. If I drop her off right at 7 she is still there until 4:30. This makes her anxiety 10x worse because she is away from me ALL day. It is inconvenient for me because I can't just run some errands and pick her back up a few hours later. I live too far to just pick her up that late because it is a weird time frame.
