I was referred to PJ solar cleaning from a local Facebook group. I contacted the company and heard back within a few minutes. Deshawn came out the next day to give me a free estimate. Every other company has only asked me to send my address so they can guess based off of the google maps photo. I appreciate that he took the time to come out and look at my panels and did a full assessment. After taking video of my rooftop, he told me he would email me an estimate with a breakdown. His estimate was detailed and showed me where every charge was applied. I appreciated his transparency with this! I had received a couple of other estimates and he beat their prices! He also offers law enforcement and military discounts! He was able to come out two days later to clean my solar panels, clean out the birds from underneath, and add in a guard around the edges. His crew got to work and took care of everything. We had pigeons nesting under our solar panels and it was driving us nuts. This company came out promptly and completely cleaned the poop off of our roof and cleaned the surrounding areas of our yard. They were able to wrap our solar panels with a mesh that can not be seen from the street. But more importantly they took pictures and video to show and explain exactly what they did. They even came back by later in the month to make sure the pigeons wouldn't be able to stay. ( Pigeons will try to stay for a few days or weeks afterward trying to find a way to access under the panels. ) Top notch service and great craftsmanship. read more

PJ Solar Cleaning website has a "Request for Quote" option. This is how I cam to meet and utilize PJ Solar Cleaning and Birdproofing for our Solar System in Southern California. Deshawn and I talked on phone numerous times ahead of requesting his service to our solar system. He provided an e-mailed "Bird Proofing & Pigeon Abatement Estimate". I should have paid attention to the subject of the e-mail. My goof. I had not utilized the link on website to fill out a "Request for Quote", just used the web site to obtain phone number for contact. Except for subject e-mail, all contact was via telephone. Deshawn's crew arrived on time and was on the roof quickly. Deshawn had to run to Home Depot for some items that they did not bring. The clean-up of roof went well, as did Bird Proofing. They cleaned and sanitized the roof, walls, and ground that had Pigeon droppings. As they were getting ready to head to our daughter's house to do same to her solar system, on our referral, Deshawn and I got into a discussion about the total price. This was when I was informed that the figure I had been given which is what I had made decision to hire on, was only an estimate. My total was actually close to 25% higher, do to unforeseen obstacles. One of which was the spacing between rows of panels, which would allow pigeons to get under panels between rows. This required additional mesh to cover the gap. I was expected to pay for a 100 foot roll of mesh when less than a quarter would be used on my roof. After much discussion we reached an agreement an we paid that firure. They left to go do daughter's solar system. I was later asked to bring my stapler to daughter's to be used by Deshawn to apply some mesh to an eave nesting entry point. They changed their minds after I had arrived with stapler. It was at this time that I found out the PJ Solar offers referral fees. The next day we had a real downpour, and I noticed water pouring off patio roof. Between downpours, I climbed a ladder to find that patio gutter and downspout were clogged with pigeon poop. I called Deshawn and we arraged for them to return to clean gutter and downspout on Mar 28, almost 2 weeks out. No followup call, and a no-show for the clean out. No referral fee to date. I had to clean gutter and downspout myself. I will not recommend this business to any friends in the future. read more
