I look forward to the years to come and can't wait to see all of the skills my kids will acquire. My kids loveee Krav Maga and are so excited for each and every class. I'm very confident that my kids will have the knowledge, skill & confidence to defend themselves if ever need be. I can truly go on and on.... from start to finish each class I'm just in awe. My only regret is not starting sooner! The staff is incredible and the owners are such genuinely good people. You can tell they love what they do and are very good at what they do!! I love love love being a part of Krav Maga and I would without a doubt recommend Krav Maga to any adult or child! Thank you Krav Maga - Christina & family

Their weapons defense class looks like something out of a comedy, and they don't teach you how to throw a proper punch. their courses look like they're designed for 50 year old moms, learning self defense. If you are a young guy that wants to know how to fight better for whatever reason join mmt in Rochester hills instead of your nearby. Krav Maga has always struggled to gain the same recognition as other martial arts. The only positive thing I can say is they have weights and the cancellation process was easy.

The kids are learning through playing. My son is now much more independent and confident after a month of lessons. He has recently earned his white belt, and I can certainly observe the positive impact this class has had on his discipline. Price for the classes also very reasonable. Great location. Clean interior. Denny truly care about all the kids and theirs learning process. Would recommend for any family looking into martial arts for their kids!

He attends Mr. Stecker's class with great enthusiasm and dedication. The class structure and training patterns often change, which might seem challenging at first, but it has truly been a blessing. It teaches both the kids and us, as parents, to stay flexible and adapt--an essential skill in today's fast-paced, ever-changing world. Mr. Stecker doesn't just teach martial arts; he builds confidence, discipline, and strong character in his students. He helps shape them into kind, respectful, and well-rounded individuals. As a parent, I've learned so much just by observing his teaching approach and positive influence.

Birmingham Martial Arts was doing one hour sessions at Shain Park in Downtown Birmingham during the…read moresummer of 2020, so we checked it out. The manager came right over and introduced herself and our son joined the session. She was friendly and she informed us about the outdoor classes due to COVID-19 and we signed our son up on the spot. After about four sessions I noticed that our son was spending an accumulated forty-five minutes waiting in line to do the movements that the instructors were having him do. For $110 per month I was hoping for him to be much more active. The pillars listed on their website are self-esteem, discipline, focus, respect, & fitness. There wasn't enough activity for them to hit the pillar of fitness. So, we canceled the membership. They had too many kids and not enough instructors. They did other things like playing dodgeball and carrying punching bags to and from a marker, which were good activities, but I can't get over the lack of activity for most of the sixty-minute sessions. The owner had a group of teenagers and he was doing synchronized kicks and punches with them during these one hour sessions and that looked awesome. But, the kids in my son's group were getting the shaft. I understand the importance of teaching good technique, which the instructors were doing well, but if you have young kids who have trouble doing jumping jacks with good form then it is likely that they won't be able to do kicks and punches with good form. It would have been much better to have them do five-minute routines that included various movements like punches, kicks, squats, burpees, push-ups, lunges, etc. I gave three stars because the manager was kind and personable and the instruction was good and they refunded us the $110 for the next month after we had cancelled during the previous month. But, for my money I would rather have my son do something where he is almost constantly moving.
