I couldn't safely pull over for a bit so I made him follow and signaled that I'd be getting over. The officer walks up (can't recall his name) and asks that damn question that I hate "You know why I'm stopping you?" And so I reply with my typical snarky comment "because I was driving like an asshole..." I got a chuckle, he kinda looked around in the car, and asked about my night... Let me stop the story right there and point out the fact that I am a black guy, covered in tattoos, my car is Procharged with 3:73 gears, it's disgustingly loud, it's obviously seen a street race or two, and my sense of humor isn't always received well... Anyway, I replayed in my words exactly how I was driving... the whole truth... he concurred, because he had been watching :(, and then told me to have a good night and drive safe! I was so damn taken back by how pleasant of an interaction I had shared with this guy that I thanked him and shook his hand. It's truly moments like these that people perform their job so well that you obey the speed limit out of respect for their duty they have to perform. It's his job to keep that section of road safe, and I was making that more difficult, I definitely deserved a ticket or two, and he showed mercy. I really wish I remembered the guys name, and hopefully he reads this. Thanks again!

Dog in a hot car for over an hour, called animal control, police came and did nothing, I repeat nothing. It was over 90 degrees in the car and the dog had no water and two windows slightly cracked. "She's alive, so she's ok" the officer said. So does the dog need to be dead for you to do something? Ridiculous, I am truly so disappointed in this county's policeman ‍

My wife hates it with a passion when it gets to where you could pay a penalty if not registered by a certain date which is in March. That happened to us 6 years ago. Like they sent us an email but my wife accidentally deleted all her emails by mistake. Aw go figure. She was really into decluttering big time lately. She said that's a gift! Heehee. She wants less screen time anyway. Aw what a silly lady. This past visit the patient police employee assisted us with the alarm registration as my wife went online at home but could not figure out how to renew that darn alarm system & she didn't want to wait any longer than necessary or pay the 50 dollar fine in March like six years before. If you observe what she did online you would understand what I mean! So my wife filled out the form/application at the nearby table & chairs. The lady whom I didn't get her name said it would be taken care of now. Yay! Got one thing done & out of the way! My wife checked it today online & confirmed it was renewed until 2029! My wife received the confirmation email in her spam folder too. Like what? Normally we use their EGPD Volunteers for house vacation watch & drop off donations when appropriate. This visit was absolutely necessary & my wife was thrilled it was taken care of!!! I'm sure we would return again in three years again to renew in person than do it online which was not apparent to do. Like why don't they make it clearer? Almost like another computer task we did recently online for our travels which was another drawn out story. Aw so annoying my wife says! & the Mercury wasn't in Retrograde yet. Well I know better next time too! Bottom line visit the EGPD!!!

We attended a BBQ on the Beat event recently, a public outreach event where egpd puts on a great BBQ for residents and kids (and kids at heart) can see cool police vehicles to include the specialty ones like the Incidence Response vehicle (it's fully bullet proof) and the Mobile Command Center. It's a good opportunity for the community to connect with the law enforcement officers and staff. It was a friendly and fun event that kids and adults alike enjoyed.

I was exiting quick due to an aggressive male Hispanic with face tats. I had been staying with the The Sawyer and desperately in need of Juul products. I was nostalgic about old Davis because I recognized it immediately as Molly's Jazz festival thing that I had brought my grandmother to years ago. I was taking a photo of a single woman's shoe and concerned she had been dragged off, raped, murdered etc.... Yes. I might have some PTSD. Pretty sure we all do now She understood my clear instructions and I told her to pop around and check out this guy that popped out on me from the bathroom. He was very aggressive saying he was stranded etc... wanted money. Phone charger... Anything to get close. Perhaps a woman just threw her shoes like I do when I'm sick of wearing ill fitting foot wear. That's me. But I have zero patience anymore. Just ask the fantastic crew working over at Kimpton. I can't believe that almost everyone I meet is faring so much better than I am. Truth be told, we all put on a brave face. It's unacceptable that I was spewing trauma inflicted by others on innocent people. We are all the same. We are all one. Love Sacramento PD and love all PD and love each and every soul I typically meet Ma'am Is this your shoe? Are you okay?

Subject: Victim Statement Regarding Theft, Fraud, and Forgery at MS Auto Sales Group. And…read moreSACRAMENTO PD CLAIMING ITS A CIVIL MATTER. WITHOUT INVESTIGATION OF THE MATTER. OR LISTENING TO THE FULL STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED. CAUSING MORE HARM. This statement details the events surrounding a vehicle purchase from MS Auto Sales, located at 1908 El Camino, which involve criminal acts of theft, fraud, and forgery. My wife and I traveled from the Bay Area to Sacramento via Amtrak to purchase a vehicle from this Used Car Dealership. I had previously negotiated a purchase price of $9,000 for the vehicle with the owner, Jumanji. I found the vehicle on Craigslist. Upon our arrival at the dealership, finance manager and owner Sammy Solomeh, delayed us until closing time. At that point he came and ask for the down-payment, Sammy Solomeh, presented me with a stack of documents to sign. Mr. Solomeh controlled the entire signing process by presenting one document at a time, directing me exactly where to sign, and then immediately removing the document before I could review it. My wife asked him, "Are you going to explain what he is signing?" Mr. Solomon replied, "Yes, but they're only regular car buying documents." He stated that once I finished signing everything, he would "be right back to explain everything." This did not happen. AS I WENT TO THE VEHICLE TO LOOK OVER IT, I saw Sammy Solomeh, leaving the premises driving away. After shouting Sam's name, another salesman who was closing the steel doors handed me an envelope with documents inside and said, "Thanks for doing business with us." I asked him, "What about Sam? He was supposed to explain the documents he got me to sign." The salesman responded, "Well, you're gonna have to deal with Sam tomorrow." I gave a $5,000 down payment for the vehicle. I later discovered that this $5,000 was never applied toward the negotiated $9,000 sale price. The documents that Mr. Solomon rushed me to sign also included charges for unknown add-ons that I never agreed to purchase. Furthermore, I have discovered a Law 553 finance contract with my name forged on it. I was never presented with this contract, I never signed it, and I had no knowledge of its existence until after the transaction. There were also significant discrepancies with the vehicle's condition which were not disclosed or stated on the Carfax report provided by the dealership. I have attempted to file a police report with the Sacramento Police Department regarding these matters. However, every officer I have spoken with has immediately dismissed my complaint as a "civil matter" without conducting any investigation or hearing the full details of the incident. I believe the acts of forgery, fraudulent inducement, and theft by deception constitute a criminal case that warrants a full investigation.

Here, the center is thriving and entirely run by volunteers and Managed by Molly Fling (community leader and NCA Board Member). This place opened back in 2009 with the support of then Creekside President (and now Vice Mayor) Angelique Ashby. All of the equipment/furniture resources have been donated (which is simply amazing because they've got a refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and more). Many hands make for light work and the Resource Center embodies that. The primary functions of the Resource Center are to support the Sacramento Police Department and its officers as well as the entire Natomas Community. Like I said, this place is completely run by volunteers and provide services such as fix-it tickets, filing online police reports, code enforcement issues (or you can call 3-1-1!!!!), crime/safety tips (in the form of countless handouts/pamphlets) city resources and so much more; I can't even touch on everything this place does because they do so much! If you need to know the hours the center is open, I suggest calling because they change often (for obvious reasons such as schedules change, new volunteers in and out, etc.) Molly runs the place and is such a great individual and resource. If she is there when you drop in, say hello and hear her story. She's always willing to lend a helping hand or point someone in the right direction.
