10 stars!!! Was able to schedule an appointment online within a week. Arrived about 10 min before my appointment time and was promptly greeted and called to the counter. Photo taken, paperwork reviewed and signed off, and I was out the door before my appointment time. Staff was ultra friendly and efficient. I chose this place over the USPS and it was 100x well worth the extra drive. Easy access free parking nearby. My passport arrives on Saturday. Highly recommend. Thank you for making a potentially annoying task hassle free and a pleasure. Pro Tip: have all your paperwork filled out, documents handy and checks made out ahead of time. Passport Service was fantastic, my friend and I were very anxious to complete the process and submit our applications. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly when taking us through the process. We were in and out. I myself work in customer service and have rarely encountered this level of service. If I could give 6 out of 5 starts I would! Parking garage nearby is free and is approximately a 3-4 minute walk to the passport office. I would recommend this place above all others! read more

Ah, leave it up to one nightmare of an experience to wake this yelper up from the graveyard. This review is for the Passport service. We booked an appointment for 3:10 p.m., which we stayed up til the early morning a week before to grab the slot when it was released. We arrived about 5 minutes early and checked in twice with two different representatives. NONE of them had name tags, all I can say is 4 women and all of them were blonde. They decided that the day we went they were only taking walk-ins instead of appointments. WTF? Here we are with our baby looking to get a passport, we booked ahead of time, prepared well in advance, and they decided not to honor it. Okay, how much worse can it get? For the hour + wait that we endured, not a single walk-in customer was prepared. They brought the absolute bare minimum (think DL or other bare docs) and filled out forms while at the counter. Efficiency is out the door with this place. When it was finally our turn, again, waited over an HOUR with an appointment, I asked if they honored appointments. The blonde on the other side rolled her eyes and said "yes," that's it. I had to tell her how we checked in twice, looked right at the other lady (blonde #2) who wouldn't even look me in the eyes. Accountability? Yeah, no, not here. It took us about 15 minutes and thats because blonde #1 wanted to look at our baby to make sure he's ours. WTF kind of joke was she playing here? Horrible experience, I recommend traveling to Sacramento or any other place to get your passport. What a mess. read more

This review is for the passport and Live scan facility @316 Vernon st. Had such an easy and smooth transaction at this facility. I was dreading renewing my passport and getting a new passport for a family member. I stopped by 1/20/23 to pick up forms and see about making an appointment. A very nice lady helped me with forms and told me how to make an appointment online. Today on 2/6/23 I had an appointment showed up about 10 mins early was immediately assisted by a woman in the lobby who looked at my forms, pointed out a few to dos and then said they would be right with me. Waited briefly and then was helped by a sweet and kind woman named Lisa. She took pictures, helped with forms and took the payments in 1 fell swoop. Inside the Civic Center on the first floor behind security is the Passport office. You enter the waiting room with chairs hugging the walls and to your right behind glass are the employees and further right is the picture area. As of this writing there are still covid dots on the floor and there are masks and hand sanitizer available if needed. Considering the service is mostly by appointment there are not a lot of people to contend with at any given time. This is a shout out to Regina and the other ladies at the Passport office. We went in for a passport photo and to have the passport application processed. We had all our ducks in a row so to speak (paperwork done check, two separate payments check, ready for photo check, didn't sign docs ahead of time check) Upon entry we were greeted, they obtained our confirmation of our having necessary materials, they told us when they could help us etc. Regina checked everything, took the photos, and collected payments. It can get really hot and you will need to take a break from time to time to get out of the sun. Trees near by but not much shade. Also... if your a germaphobe this is not the place for you. This review is for the passport processing area. I've heard so many horror stories and read bad reviews about waiting in long lines or receiving rude service when getting a passport at PO. I then found this one and it had amazing reviews, so I booked the appointment online (note: appointment times fill out pretty quickly). It was very easy. They sent me a reminder through email which is a plus. When I got there, I was greeted immediately by some friendly workers. They got all my printed forms that I filled out beforehand. I was in and out in10 mins! This place saves time. It's an amazing, organized place with excellent service. I definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to get a passport. read more

Upon entering a lady named sandra approached us said " name". Hah. How about some customer srvc. Good morning, welcome etc. such cold demeanor! My husband was not impressed even my kids picked up on the unnecessary attitude which is disappointing. The only good thing about this place is you can get an appointment but you will be here over an hour with 3+ people. Please work on customer service ! People come here for something so exciting but than deal with cold attitudes. read more

This is for the ladies in the City Clerks office who help with passports. I need a passport & was not looking forward to going to the PO & getting one; long lines & nasty employees. So I found out that you can apply for a passport thru the City, there is a $25. fee .... which I gladly paid to not have to deal with the PO employees. So I got there at 9am when they opened & I was the only one there. I was in & out in 9 minutes, the lady was so quick, yet very friendly. This included a picture being taken for an extra fee. This was a quick & painless experience, so much better than long lines & aggravation at the PO, I hate setting foot in there. I stopped in a couple days ago to get some paperwork for dog registrations. The city is creating a new civic center outdoor gathering place. I just know it is going to be beautiful. The center structure itself is a few years old but has kept a current look. Whoever did the design did a great job. There is plenty of room and I never see it very crowded or long lines. I realize that plenty off work is being done from computers so that takes up a lot of slack. The staff has always been very polite and helpful. It still has a small town safe feel here. But Roseville is growing, a friend who had not been here in awhile said, " it's BIG ". ! read more

If you want to get a passport come here !!!! They are amazing ! I went in today (4-14-2014) to a post office because some can get you a passport. They didn't have anything until may 28 . And I didn't have the time . I went to this location and I was immediately helped out and the lady went far beyond to help me out ! Sadly I didn't get my passport because I was missing a few things but I will be back to get from them , and them only . GREAT !! read more

My review is a bit partial. I've been here twice now for passports. Making an appointment is easy enough and they are very efficient. The first time I went in we already had our passport pictures taken so there were no issues, we were in and out of there. I recently went in with my kids to renew our passports and needed to get pictures taken. I received my passport and thought it was odd that I haven't got my kids' passports. I just received an email from the passport agency saying the pictures did not meet their dimensions and now their passports are on hold until I send them new pictures. You would think the person who processed our passport would know the regulations and get it right since it is a service that we paid for. Although I do suggest going here for your passports, have your pictures taken elsewhere. read more

This place is so amazing!!! Shout out to the women working here today 1/5/17! We are here to renew our passports, family of five! The place is packed and line is so long but they take their time assisting each customer with a smile! It makes the environment pleasant and not chaotic when you have jolly staff. I'm removing a star due to the unorganized system which is not the staff fault at all. Here's my recommendations. 1. Leave the forms outside of the office if possible to relieve congestion in the room. 2. I had to ask the counter lady and interrupt their process to get the application form, is it possible to make it available to all instead of having to ask for the form. 2. This is no place to take your family after the sun goes down. I took my family for a walk through the civic center after dinner on Sunday night and we were just amazed at what we saw during our walk. We were greeted by homeless assaulting each other with a vulgar exchange of words and then we watched several tweekers shooting up near the restrooms. This place might be ok during the day, but stay away after the sun goes down, especially if you have young children with you. read more

Every other utility department in my thirty-five years of paying utilities is willing to work with someone not City of Roseville. I would not go here to get your passport! You used to be able to walk in but that is no longer the case. You have to call and make an appointment, and the only time you can call is Friday at 8am. I called at 8am exactly and could not get through after thirty minutes.. I kept getting a "busy" dial tone. It's honestly silly to only have one day available to call and make appointments. If I were you I would make the 40 minute drive to sutter county's clerks office. You don't need an appointment, and I was in and out in 30 minutes! read more

Passport services here used to be great. Now the open hours and available appointments are extremely limited. iThe city offers ZERO convenience for working families...you basically have to schedule time off work and away from school to use these services as the appointments are finished at 3pm. We had an appointment, arrived early for a minor passport renewal only to learn we were missing something. The extremely rude clerk would not let me run home (a ten minute errand with 40 mins before they closed), and would not let me schedule a time to come back. I was told I needed to be online at midnight when the next round of appointments released. There was literally no other customers in there and I would have been able to get the missing document quickly. Also, an email confirmation that tells you what to bring based on what type of appointment you have would be helpful, Sacramento library does this. With an adult passport you can just bring a new photo but it's not super well known that minors basically start anew even if they already have passports. read more
