It was a wonderful experience in every way. The booking was easy, they were so easy to work with, super friendly. They even came out to get me when I almost floated past (I was blissed out!). Recommend you book it with friends, tie the tubes together in a circle. Rent a cooler tube to go in the middle, and yes! Get a paddle or two. Bring drinks and snacks, and a waterproof music player (play softly to not disturb the riverside residents). Would definitely do it again.

This is a great experience which my friends and I have been enjoying for years. Wonderful company that he's out of their way to make sure your adventure is the best it can be. Highly recommended.

Rolling, rolling, rolling down the river.

This was a phenomenal day floating on the river with friends. The weather was perfect, the staff amazing, the equipment clean and comfortable, the location and parking was very convenient, and the transport bus very nice. The overall experience was amazing and highly recommended. Bring cash because there was an adorable girl selling lemonade but we had no money.

The slow going, winding & very clear water of the DuPage River itself varied in depth from a few inches to several feet.

The staff were professional, fun & enthusiastic. The shuttle picks you up downriver to take you to where you enter the river. They had several different style tubes which all appeared new. About 1/4 had mesh bottom which was perfect for the child in our group. Very easy to get in and out & definitely isn't crowded. It was my first river tubing experience and I cannot wait to go back!!

All the tubes to choose from!

I am afraid of brown water, lol, so I got the tube with the bottom and just layed in it, the whole time. I also bought my own life vest off amazon. But they do offer the ugly orange ones lol Anyway we did the 3 miles but would love to come back and do the 6 mile one. Very cheap. Also the people who did go in the water, they said the very shallow areas are very rocky & scraped their knees. The deepest part is 10 feet but other than that, it's not deep. The bathrooms are nice and they offer a shower too. At the end you wait for the bus to pick you up and bring you back. Pretty cool.

You don't have to ride anywhere, you get in The Fox RIGHT THERE. They have nice tubs with mesh or no mess bottom, your choice and tubs for your cooler, if you need one. For a minimum of 3 hours you float The Fox River. If you go during the week, the river is yours. If you go on the weekend you have to "share". The reasoning is obvious. If you chose to stop along the way you can drag out the 3 hours however long you like. You call when you reach the bridge so they can come pick you up. The buses are a little rough. I get this. They can't have wet, muddy and sometimes drunk people on a "nicer" bus. However, I do think they could do some work on the dressing rooms. When you get back to the "home base" you need to get out of your wet clothes and river shoes but their changing area is a wreck; no lights, smashed in toilet and broken sink. Other than this item, I adore this place. The quiet of the river, the fish, birds and dragonflies are worth it. I'll be back!

This is a party camp. For partying. "Locals" run all over the place in golf carts, there's beer by the case 15 minutes drive in any direction, and lights out is loosely enforced if at all. I say "locals" because these are largely Chicagoans who own RV's and 5th wheels and leave them at the campsite all season, visiting every weekend. Or townies who just hang out because they like to party; I didn't ask a lot of questions. The only time it's quiet is between 4am and 8am when everyone is passed out. There was a Grateful Dead cover band at the pavilion the first night we were there, and a DJ spinning the best of blue collar rock the second night (with requisite 4th of July fireworks). The bathrooms were impeccable, for a campsite. The staff was friendly, though definitely moved at "rural speed". The sites themselves were decently kept grass, with easy soil for driving tent spikes. There were plenty of sticks lying about for kindling, and wood for reasonably priced purchase at the office. There was a little bit of broken glass about, but I've seen worse. We tubed for an hour on the Fox River for $5, though the launch and take out were not marked at all. The launch especially was difficult to find, and utilize. Other than that the float was awesome. Overall I had a wonderful time, and so did our group. I'd very much recommend this place, as long as you know what to expect: A Party Atmosphere.

For this reason I like having tour guides. Going up the river was fine. Coming back went a bit sour. I went as slow as I was capable of paddling or not paddling, but apparently it was too fast for the preference of our tour guide. I was barely touching the water with my paddle. I have no idea how I could have gone any slower. It wasn't humanly possible. After shouting at me several times, he took to chasing me down and ramming my kayak so it'd spin in circles. Would I rent a kayak here and kayak the river alone? Yes. Would I personally use a tour guide here? No I wouldn't. Would I recommend? If you're a family with little kids or a drunk sorority house, absolutely. If you know what you're doing, just go it alone. You'll probably enjoy it more. Edit: If the tour guide had concerns for group safety, he could have said so. Although ramming my kayak with his seems to be a bit of a conflict as far as my safety goes. It was an unprofessional approach when he could have simply explained why he needed me to slow down

Enjoyed the cliff walls of Buffalo Rock and the shallow waters of some side passages. We paddled for 5 hours, covering 8 miles total. I was impressed with the logistics and operation of the kayaking experience, from the guide* to the equipment and online booking process. *Full disclosure, the guide was my twin sister, but I am being objective...seriously.
