    Funnel cake

We tried to have lunch at the hungry crock four people for meals and $50 later, we got one meal at a time approximately five minutes apart. nothing in the order was correct. The ketchup was empty, which took them 15 minutes to fill. It took an hour to get all of our food and eat cold food. Terrible management nobody knows what they're doing. We actually had another customer bring us one of our entrées and she helped push them to get it because she knew how long we were waiting. This is absolutely ridiculous. We couldn't all eat at the same time for a family lunch. Absolutely horrible. I could go on and on, but I won't. I think I'll go back to going to my local waterpark.

Picture of cut on elbow. Both arms ended up bruised and sore the following day.

This place is super fun. You can spend all day here. I don't like the LOOOOONG LINES for the water slides. But I just get in the lazy river.

Ask the Community - Raging Waves Waterpark

Can a pregnant mom go on the water slides.?

They say not too for your safety.

What's the best day during the week to go that has the least amount of people? Are there any days that you don't schedule camps or anything?

I think Mondays or Fridays are the best days and Saturdays/Sundays/holidays are the worst.

Am I allowed to wear a tank top in the lazy river? My boyfriend is self conscious and won't go to a water park if he can't wear a tank top with his trunks in the water.

    Of course!

Are you allowed to take in coolers? Can you take in outside food for sandwiches?

I don't think so. You can leave it in the car and exit the park to eat it but can easily reenter until 4pm.

What is the minimum height for the tube rides?

Some are 42 inches (with a parent) but the more thrilling ones are 48 inches.

How much did it cost to get in?

Season passes are a good deal but anyday tickets are near 30/person but at the booth tickets day of are like 45/person

How long do people spend here on average? Do most people stay from 10-7?

Not sure about most people, but I can say my wife and I are usually there 3-plus hours. But that's mainly because it's easy to circle the park 2-3 times.

Is this park fun for adults without kids or is it mainly smaller kiddie slides?

Well, my wife and I enjoyed the place so much we've been there three times in the last month. There are about 5-6 adult rides and several kiddie rides, in addition to the Lazy River.

How's the wave pool? I have 2 boys (17&14) and 14 y.o. Daughter who really want to enjoy a big wave pool without the overcrowded Six Flags experience

We have a 350,000 gallon wave pool that has some of the best waves around! Since we are Illinois' Largest Waterpark, our facility is much more spread out and offers more water attractions than any others in the area. Please let us know if you have…

Hi - Do they have Family locker rooms / restrooms?

I'm not sure about family bathrooms however I know they have huge bathrooms, lockers are outside the restrooms like sixflags

The bathroom and kitchen fixtures are all mismatched brands. The fridge and stove/oven are top tier but the dishwasher in bldg 1 room 205 doesn't work. Be sure to bring your preferred bug spray. The property is massive so you can get in lots of walking or running. When you go out get EVERYTHING you need because the closest options are 20 miles or better away. Mostly everything closes super early so if you're arriving after 4 depending on how long it takes you to settle in you may need to pay- Unfortunately it's closing October 2025. Locals say it will become a Hilton property. If that happens I foresee the water park being closed.

When people go on vacation they want peace, they don't want to crush bugs all fucking day. And I thought maybe it wouldn't affect my family and I, but I was wrong. It's true there are ladybugs and stink bugs all over the place. Especially after you use the bathroom and it gets all humid. Showers are a damn mess. The shower head has the worst pressure I've ever experienced in any hotel. This disgrace of a place tried to cut cost everywhere. Everything is outdated it's outrageous. By the way, there are no gyms (which is a stable for all holiday inns/vacation hotels) and no breakfast. You cheap motherfuckers. Barely any soap in the bathrooms and had to ask multiple times for shampoo (which took 3 hours to arrive). And all the buildings are split apart meaning you have to drive everywhere.. This is not even the worst. No where in the website does it inform you of the waterpark being inaccessible on the weekdays. You're also charged to use the waterpark. The TV is small and glitchy. Can't even use Netflix on it cause it's so goddamn old. They offer room service only after 10 DAYS. And then they wonder why people complain about the filth. Every room needs cleaning often to maintain its cleanliness. I mean the hallways smelled like cheese and people left out their towels after swimming in the hallways for the custodians to pick up. So imagine that smell of used towels and the clutter. All of this because the hotel refuses to clean people's rooms. In the middle of nowhere so we can't get nothing but pizza. All the few five star reviews are phony cause nothing is good about this place. The internet connection is so bad that my phone went off SOS. In the middle of nowhere so hard to get to any good food because they don't serve breakfast at all. Don't come unless you like: -Stink bugs, lady bugs, and box elders -Overpriced waterpark -crappy showers -no gym -slow customer service (because of lack of workers) -smelly hallways -no food around/trashy food -Terrible TV -Horrible internet

At that time, she was told this season's pricing. It was about an hour drive from Dupage County and we passed the entrance at first. When we arrived, the bus was just taking the earlier group out. We arrived about 30 minutes early for our scheduled time, however that was unnecessary. The bus returned to take us at our exact scheduled time. Ensure proper count of your group's tube and cooler tube needs. From the time of loading, driving, and unloading we got in the water about 1.5 hours after our time slot. Ok all, if you are someone seeking prestine clear waters, tubing on an Illinois River is not for you. You may have bugs land on you or get muddy. Bring water shoes or croc type shoes to protect your feet. Bring a garbage bag for your cooler tube for your snacks and drinks. No glass or Styrofoam per their policies. They advertise bathrooms and showers. However, on day of visit they only had one working toilet. After the float, we quickly took turns changing and using restroom. It was only our group and 2 other groups out at that time. It was nice. Exiting the river was a little muddy. Fun activity that is reasonably priced.

I am afraid of brown water, lol, so I got the tube with the bottom and just layed in it, the whole time. I also bought my own life vest off amazon. But they do offer the ugly orange ones lol Anyway we did the 3 miles but would love to come back and do the 6 mile one. Very cheap. Also the people who did go in the water, they said the very shallow areas are very rocky & scraped their knees. The deepest part is 10 feet but other than that, it's not deep. The bathrooms are nice and they offer a shower too. At the end you wait for the bus to pick you up and bring you back. Pretty cool.

While today was a bit chaotic, the staff was still extremely respectful and mindful, whether there was vomit in the pool or a fire drill. The slides and activities definitely make up for it. Turtle Splash was definitely designed for babies and young children!!! whether it was the playground that comes with the pool or the small slide where your child can enjoy a quick slide into the water The food situation is a bit strict... They are quite stern on the no food allowed, all food that you buy in the food court must be eaten there, and no outside food allowed in at all (you can come in and out of the pool as you please to eat your food from home!!) We tried the food at the restaurant,t and while you can definitely tell it's just frozen food, it's probably the best frozen food there is!!! (slightly overpriced though...) My 2 children and I all had the corn dog, and we all liked it, and I tried the smoothie, and it was not good at all... But the ice cream selection is quite good!! The changing rooms are a bit bare-bones, and there are lockers that I believe you can rent at the front of the pool, but we just took our stuff with us. CAUTION!!! IT GETS EXTREMELY SLIPPERY IN THERE, SO WALK WITH CAUTION!!! They weren't the most sanitary, and there was trash on the floor, but it wasn't terrible. The staff was OK; some lifeguards cared about their jobs, and some didn't give a sh-, with any pool, it was run by high schoolers, but they were all mostly respectful. There was a supervisor named Bill who asked my children if they were having fun, and Bill was one of the few who cared for his job, he was the only staff memeber that was over the age of 30, lol, there was also this lifeguard, if i remember his name correctly his name was Peter, he was at the bottem of the slides and he always asked me and my kids if we were OK after going down. One time on the Tube Slide me and my 4 year old daughter flipped, and he wasted no time grabbing my daughter ASAP so she wouldn't go under (the current is EXTREMELY STRONG). But some lifeguards just stand there like a post and don't move. Shame on them!! It was very packed today, and we still managed to have a lot of fun! There aren't a lot of lawn chairs, and of those, very few are shaded,d but there is a big spot of grass with umbrellas and trees where you can set up base! You can't bring your own chairs or chairs from the pool,l but a blanket is fair game! Pack one just in case their isnt any seats!! Overall, if I lived in the West Chicago Area, I would be a regular at this pool!!! If anyone is on the fence about going to this pool, I highly suggest going!!
