These have been the lifeguards on duty since 1:10pm (3/1/19) Chatting...chatting...chatting away...backs turned to water. Aren't they supposed to be supervising the children? Why aren't they walking the swimming pool perimeter? Very disappointing.

We love this pool. We go almost everyday. We bought the membership this year which is very much worth it. 14$ per month per person which seriously beats the 16$ entry fee. You can bring your own snacks. The outside pool is nice and the inside pool (kinda small) is open year round but has some wacky hours in the afternoon. Closed 4-7 on tuesdays and thursdays and 4-6 on Wednesday's. All in all it's worth it. They don't allow balls or anything. You can bring water toys but no floaties. All life vests must be us coast guard approved. I also recommend buying either a lock to use in the locker room or a lockbox to attach to your chair for your phones and cards because I've had a few things stolen. Also get here early, chairs are sparse. Food is ok, they do accept credit cards but bring your own it's cheaper! Have fun!!!

I'm reviewing the indoor pool only because I went there for 4 year old's birthday party. It's a very kid-friendly area and despite the private party there were 5 or 6 staff/lifeguards around. There was a shallow end for the toddlers with a small slide, a hot tub, and a separate pool with several lanes for doing traditional laps. One thing to note if you come here is that they do not provide towels or food-we catered food (not that I really expected food) My one complaint is that the floor of shallow end for toddlers was really rough. I understand there are benefits to that sort of finish or construction but for a child zone, it's a bit dangerous and hurt many of the kids' feet.

Great place for entertaining kids. Clean facility. Plenty of options for swimmers of all ages and levels. Water could be a little warmer.

Great lifeguards, very clean, well run pool. Prices are very reasonable too. Can be crowded but that's also a good sign.

I also love the sprinklers in the lazy river, and overall, it's a lot bigger than most local pools.

When I still had my kids living at my house, we used to purchase season passes to Cypress Cove…read moreevery year. Everyone in my family loved the place. As my kids got older and went through high school, we stopped buying the passes because they weren't interested in going to Cypress Cove on a regular basis anymore. So, I hadn't been there in years. In July 2024, my wife and I decided to entertain some younger relatives by taking them to the waterpark. Low and behold, the water was so cold that nobody could stand it. The kids' lips were BLUE, they shivered uncontrollably, and they struggled to have any fun. They didn't even want to stay after only a few minutes. You KNOW something is wrong if young kids want to quickly leave a waterpark on a beautiful, hot summer day! We asked the Cypress Cove staff about the shockingly cold water and they revealed that ever since COVID, the park stopped heating the water in order to save money. They flat out don't operate the water heating system anymore, it's been deliberately mothballed. Say what? What kind of water park doesn't heat the water? That's totally unacceptable and I've never experienced such a thing - EVER. Every water park or public pool that I've ever been to in my 50+ years of life has heated the water so that it's comfortable. My family won't even consider returning to Cypress Cove until we hear that they've resumed heating the water like normal. The only thing I can appreciate about the situation is that the Village of Woodridge, which operates Cypress Cove, is conscious of keeping its spending down for the taxpayers. But there are much more sensible things to cut from the city budget than heating the water at the town's water park. That's ridiculous.

This place is amazing! The water is warm,Life Guards Are excellent. I totally recommend.read more

Honestly, I don't know why more families in Bolingbrook AND the surrounding suburbs don't go to…read moreBolingbrook Park District for their swim lessons! Not only is Pelican Harbor indoor water park humongous and perfect for all levels of swimming, staff is incredibly friendly and prices are beyond reasonable!!! Even if you're not a Bolingbrook resident, if you sign up early enough, you can get 6-8 swimming lesson sessions for about $8 per lesson. I currently have both my children in Parkie's Starfish Swim School (ages 3-8) and each lesson is 40 minutes long. At private swim schools (Bear Paddle, Goldfish, British Swim School), lessons for that age group are 30 minutes long and almost 3 times as much per lesson! One thing to keep in mind are that many of the instructor are VERY young (probably high school-early college age). One of my kids is a newly minted 3 year old and doesn't listen very well at times (my kid just wants to play around in the water). I think the teacher had a hard time instructing in the beginning, but she doesn't give up and spoke to me about methods to "speed up" the progression as well as boundaries I may have. I appreciated that because I can only imagine how hard it is to teach young children who would rather play than learn. Parkie's Starfish Swim School has several levels starting from White (never having a swim lesson before) and ending in Green (able to swim on side, can freestyle 30 feet with rhythmic breathing). Levels Red-Yellow-Blue are in between. After mastering green, they can move to Parkie's Starfish Stroke School, perfecting all the strokes with longer distances as well as flips and open turns. They also have Parkie's Babies Swim Lesson for babies (ages 3-36 months). Overall I highly recommend Bolingbrook Park District for swim lessons. It's extremely affordable, the indoor swimming facility is very impressive and staff is so nice. I love that I can bring my kids here year-round instead of just summers. I know I'll continue bringing my kids here for years to come!

I have been doing this since last year, then one of the personnel walked up to me last month after their class whiles practicing and asked if I was a member which I answered no. She then said, you can stay if you are a member but if not then get out". I got my kids ready after we were done then asked her what was their policy for after class, she said, you are able to stay till 15 minutes after the swimming class. I called the manager of the place and reported this incidence. Will I take my kids back there? NO!!! Staff should have the respect for people who patronize them and not disrespect them. The staff should have explained their policy because this same staff if there every day I take my kids to this place. She was out right rude and disrespectful! They just lost two customers.

I am a pool pass holder for a non-resident and so is my 6 year old son, we came at 2:30 on Sunday (today) and i left our pool cards in my son's other pool bag. I had my driver's license with my picture and asked the girl at the counter to please look up our names as we are season pool pass holders, she rudly told me that there is nothing they can do without the card and we would have to pay $18 to swim!!! First of all what kind of "rule" is it to not let a member in without a card when their name and photo is saved in the computer!!! Why take our pictures then? At gyms for example,if you forget your membership card, they match your PICTURE to let you in, not to mention i had MY DRIVERS LICENSE WITH PICTURE WITH ME!!! I asked to speak with the manager (who was standing behind her) and he gave ne an attitude and would not look up our names to prove that we are pool pass holders. They were EXTREMLY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Our pool passes are in the computer systems WITH OUR NAMES AND PICTURES!! They are just too lazy and inconsiderate to do some work and type our names in the computer!!!! I HATE this place and it sucks not even the "manager" could show some respect, towards my young son and i. We drove from plainfield, all ready to swim and did not bring wallet to pay the day fee. It is beyond messes up how they treated us! Why do they take a photo for the i.d. pool passes and not be able to match you when (like a normal mom with kids) forgot our cards. I am so upset i purchased a pool pass here for my son and i. As long as i live i will talk poorly about this place and the horrible inconsiderate workers-managers! Something needs to be done! No exceptions! Unbelievable!
