Strong 2.5 stars. Sadly it feels like this place is becoming a bit of a dump :( it feels like some of the furniture needs to be replaced and overall vibe is stale. The outdoor seating was pretty broken down, the bar soda fountain was broken, and the bathrooms were pretty beat up. The food was just okay, the best part of the meal was the fried pickles appetizer. The rest was fine but just not great. It also seemed like there was a ton of staff but we would always seem to miss them. Everyone was very nice though! Having lunch with my daughter. She is a gluten free meals only. We had the gf fries, gf chicken tenders, gf macaroni cheese bites. I had the wine, Riesling, she had the mandarin mash up cocktails. The macaroni cheese bites are fantastic. The chicken tenders were delicious and the fries were perfectly cooked. She didn't like her cocktail but everything else was wonderful. But we have been waiting for the waitress to come check on us as she would like a coke instead of the drink. Oh good she came back and said she would take the drink off the bill and got her a coke. Service is not great. Especially with app orders. Second time in a row this has happened and it has only gotten worse. I ordered a simple salad 20 minutes ago and the app said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Showed up more than 15 minutes later and the hostess who was not at her post but away and hunched over the bar talking to her bartender buddy finally noticed me and came out. She walked back to the kitchen for the order and came back to tell me it will be 15 minutes more. First of all, the name of this place...oh my! No comment! Food is average. $65 for lunch for 2 (2 burgers and 1app is way too much). We should have left before sitting down. The only positive from this experience was the spinavh artichoke dip. We ordered a blue burger, grilled chicken sandwich (chicken way too salty)and spinach artichoke dip. The food here was soooo good (it was so good I forgot to take pictures ), we had the American Nachos to start which were out of this world! Went here for the first time yesterday after seeing The Nutcracker and we will definitely be back! The fried pickles and dipping sauce were amazing. A nice, light, coating yet still had a crisp! Loved the bowl of sliced half sour pickles they give you. I got the bacon cheeseburger with fries! Cooked to perfection and beyond tasty! Plan B is a perfect throwback to the gastropub/bougie burger fad of the mid 2000s. I know this sounds kind of like a backhanded compliment, but in a time where smashed burger patties rule supreme, I'm glad Plan B has stuck true to their roots. Don't get me wrong, I love thinly smashed, crispy patties, on a potato bun as much as the next person, but variety is the spice of life and sometimes I just want a big, chonky burger that's like 2,000 calories. It's nostalgic - it reminds me of the days when I had a much faster metabolism and didn't care about cholesterol. I ordered the moab on a bun, and my gf ordered the moab on lettuce. Both came out quickly and were delicious and fresh. The lettuce bun idea is great, but only if you actually put it on some lettuce. Someone was asleep at the wheel, so it came out with just the little bit of lettuce that's on the moab with a bun.... se also ordered tots, which were delucious. Plan B was always one of my favorite places. I was obsessed with the green bean fries. Today first batch was ice cold. Second batch was hot but the beans are very different than in the past. Sandwich was impressive looking until you take a bite and realize chicken was overcooked and flavorless. The breading just crumbled. Add to that, the oil they used to fry both the chicken and tots tasted like it was a week old. There was a gross bitterness to them. The only flavor I got out of the sandwich was pickles and the 'throwdown' sauce, which was more like salt lick sauce. It's pretty much a salty-as-s**t mayonnaise. There was also pickled cabbage in there somewhere, but you wouldn't know because you couldn't taste anything but old, bitter oil fried chicken and salt. Not good for a first experience. I moved to western mass recently and have been slowly trying the local hot spots. I came into Plan B on a whim one evening with my boyfriend and right away we loved the dark modern feel of the restaurant. Because there was a wait for a table, we sat at the bar. Before I get into the food and drinks we had, I HAVE to mention how amazing our bartender Niko was. Although he had a pretty full bar and was clearly busy; this young man still managed to treat my boyfriend and I as if we were good friends of his all while giving us the kind of service you'd expect at a high end restaurant. Because it was our first time, we annoyingly had a few questions about food to which Niko answered with enthusiasm and honesty. When it came to drinks, we knew right away that Niko was a professional because not only did he recommend drinks from the menu but, he even offered to make me something special which I couldn't resist! He asked what kind of alcohol I was in the mood for and what kind of drink(martini/mixed) I wanted. I don't even remember what my answers were but within minutes I had a sexy looking martini in front of me that was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend is a self certified beer snob and yet after trying a few beer samples ended up getting a cocktail. Although we weren't that hungry, Niko recommended the buffalo shrimp which we loved and we also split a Caesar salad. For dinner, we again bothered Niko with a few questions and ended up following some more of his recommendations; the Diablo burger for me and the MOAB for my bf. As previously mentioned, Niko was busy and yet while ordering, we didn't feel rushed or pressured and he even went over our orders to make sure he didn't miss anything. Maybe I'm corny but this last part almost made me ugly-cry. During dinner I realized it was the anniversary of me and my bf's first date to which we both forgot about until that moment and then changed subjects. After dinner, someone brought us a cookie desert with ice cream that we didn't order. Niko came over with spoons and said that it was "on the house" for our anniversary... I couldn't believe he even heard that and we absolutely loved it. From the second we sat at the bar to when we paid our tab; Niko made our experience truly unforgettable. This level of detail and care truly made us feel so special and is the reason why we will be back to visit soon! read more

I've only been to this location one other time several years ago and stopped by on the way back down 91 after a day trip through western MA. This place is easy on and off the highway, and ample parking (although I went went the Basketball Hall of Fame was closed.) The restaurant itself is nice inside with multiple seating options including a nice bar area. It looks like there is an outdoor seating area too! My party of three dined on the early side of the dinner rush so there was no wait. After being seated our waitress came over almost instantly to take our drink orders. Those came back with impressive speed too (2 sodas & a John Daly.) We didn't order any appetizers - I was hoping to get something off the seasonal special menu but it was no longer offered. The complementary bowl of pickles kept us busy until our meals arrived. Everyone seemed happy with their food and the one burger that was ordered was cooked to perfection & the fries were substituted for tots. Having frequented Plan B's in the Hartford area, we knew what to expect and this location is definitely on par with my past experiences. Plan B never disappoints when it comes to the food & service. My tots were crispy and delicious and my classic tavern burger was very good. My friends had the chickenburgers were juicy and tasty. I think the restaurant itself needs a facelift. There are tiles missing on the floor. The tables are starting to look very worn. In the bathroom, you can see where they've painted layers of paint to cover up the chips etc. Otherwise lovely food and great selection of beers and wines. read more

The burger was fantastic on its own. The decorations they offered were a wide variety. The kids beef-burger and chicken-burger meals were 2 tasty sliders (each), so generously portioned.
