This was my first time going to The Souper Sweet Sandwich Shop and what a treat! Chef Sonya is extremely pleasant, friendly, down to earth and customer focused. I love that she has a variety of different sandwiches, most you could not find the combinations inside them anywhere else. I went with Juniors Absolute Favorite and it was the bomb! The pulled pork was tender and tasty and it was obviously home made. The sandwich was hot and I didn't even wait to get back to my office to eat it, I sat at one of her sidewalk tables and ate it right there. So good!!! The best sandwiches! I am very picky when it comes to sandwiches, but oh my god! This place has the most delicious sandwiches! I got the I Shot The Sherif with jerk chicken, mango spread and mayo and it was delicious. My mom got the eclipsed tuna and loved it. I don't usually like tuna sandwiches but I tasted hers and it was delightful. We also got a collard green soup to share and it was super comforting and flavorful. Picked up sandwiches at the Souper Sweet Sandwich Shop and was happy with this decision! Ordered the Eclipsed Tuna and the New Englander. Both were served on fresh white bread and both were toasted in a panini press. The Eclipsed Tuna had cranberries and apples mixed with the tuna, and had fontina cheese and arugula as well. The New Englander had fresh turkey, cooked apple slices, cranberry relish, cheddar cheese and arugula. It reminded me of thanksgiving! The turkey wasn't dried out, it had a little gravy/pan juices too. Also tried a local ginger ale from Harmony Springs. It had a good and pronounced ginger flavor. An enjoyable lunch! read more

I went in today for the first time. I ate at Granny's Baking Table quite a few times so I had high hopes for the food. I was NOT disappointed. The atmosphere was clean and friendly. Sonya was welcoming as always and her helper was equally as kind. I had the I Shot the Sheriff sandwich and it was delicious. I would have loved additional jerk and mango sauce but that is a "me thing" and not anything against the overall taste or experience. I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. It's a cute little shop and the menu is written on the walls. I ordered the tuna sandwich and a cup of the split pea soup. The sandwich was cute into thirds. There was fresh apples, cranberries and cheese. Simply divine, deliciousness. The split pea soup was thick and hearty. Just stopped to grab a sandwich for lunch. This place is excellent! All fresh and delicious!

Been trying to get here for months and today the stars are in alignment. Plenty of sandwiches to choose from. I tried the steak out and it was great along with one of the sodas, a harmony springs peach which also good. The sandwich was on the smaller side but my pal said it's a normal size sandwich and not everyone eats like me. They have a table out front so you don't have to eat in your car or take back home. Oh my gosh - what a little gem in Springfield! We ordered 5 different sandwiches and every single one was fabulous! I loved visiting with the owner/chef (Sonya) and she told us she is opening another restaurant soon. This is definitely a "pick up" place as there is very limited seating but that's ok, because Sonya directed us to Forest Park where we found a lovely picnic table and enjoyed the grounds. (did you know that Forest Park is larger than Central Park in NYC? - fun fact!) Our family was passing through Springfield on our way to MA for a wedding and when traveling we always like to find locally-owned​ restaurants rather than fast food. I've had the soups here twice, picking it up on my way to work. They were delicious. There are unusual soup combos. The last one I had was a soup of cauliflower, broccoli and potato. I'm not sure I would have tried this all together except I like all the individual items. This is a hole in the wall establishment that is easy to miss as you drive down Belmont towards the X. I only noticed it because it is next door to the shoe repair hole in the wall I use. The sandwiches look great but I have been in a rush when I stopped in and have not had time to wait for one to be made. I'll have to plan better next time to get a sandwich. read more

A great sandwich shop! We each had the tuna salad sandwich. It has apple and cranberry in it and it tasted great. We also ordered the soup trio. I had the sherry mushroom soup and it was delicious. My mother and friend had the beef barley soup and said it was great. Each sandwich is made on order so there is a little wait...not very long though. There are just a few seats to sit at.
