Adequate amount of treadmills and machines. They sometimes run out of 45 lb plates when it's busy though. If I had to make complaints it would be the amount of people who bring their gym bags in the weight room instead of using available lockers, and the amount of teenagers who don't put weights away when finished. If I could give this location a zero I would. I decided to visit this location on 8/11/21 at around 3:00 p.m. to see if it would be more convenient for me to join while I'm visiting my family on several occasions during the year. The year prior I visited the Loves Park location and was really impressed with the staff and the professionalism they showed. They informed me you could get a 24 hour pass to try out the facility. So I inquired about the pass this visit to see which location would serve me better. I was told by the young African American man at the counter that he didn't know anything about that and that I could pay 20.00 dollars for the visit. I informed him that I had done that the previous visit at the Loves Park location and he said it was 20.00 for a day pass. At no time did he mention that you could go on the website and get the pass. I don't usually write reviews unless I have either really exceptional service or really horrid service. This location gets the horrid award. Both he and a young kinda chubby African American girl were not at all friendly or accommodating. Obviously the young man didn't really know his job or was just not informing me of that option although he stated he was a manager. I declined to pay the 20.00 and proceeded to leave when the young chubby girl literally walked right in front of me and then turned her back to me and proceeded to block my exit from the building. I'm not really sure what any of this was about but It appeared to me to be racially motivated. It was really disappointing of an experience since I was excited to check out a new Gym. I wonder really what the world is coming to when young people like that have so much animosity and vileness in thier hearts towards another person because the other person has a different color skin. All I know is that those 2 individuals are a huge liability to this establishment. I then went to the Loves Park location and was treated very professionally by the staff there. read more

If you're considering PF membership, think hard first. It's a better deal than the other national chains, in that a low monthly rate gets you use of any PF anywhere. If you travel often, or want to workout near work sometimes and hear where you live at other times (and these aren't by the same gym of course) PF makes a lot of sense. But, on the other hand, PF is easy to join but very hard to quit. You can't cancel by email, by phone, or by cutting them off from your credit card. You have to go in person to cancel at the place you opened up or upgraded your account (only one of these, not either), so definitely don't join up at a location far away from where you live, and don't move. Locations vary quite a bit in terms of size and upkeep. Prior to the Pandemic, I would say most locations were not very clean. Almost all locations are understaffed. This location is better than average, bigger, cleaner, and the staff is generally more interested in working. After reopening, still during the Pandemic, all locations are cleaner, but I don't expect this to last. As I said, this location was cleaner than others pre-Pandemic so I expect that post Pandemic it will continue to be cleaner, and really that's the most important thing in a gym, right? Still, before joining, visit a couple of places that sell higher end exercise equipment like ellipticals, treadmills, exercise bikes, free weights and compare the cost of one of those with a couple years membership even at this good deal. And, compare your shower with the showers at a few PF locations, before joining because PF is more than a little like the Hotel California. Note: I originally gave a three star review for this location until I got the comment below. More than a little insulting. There's absolutely no confusion on my end, the fact is that your cancellation policies are difficult and your response is specious. It should be obvious that I did try canceling and so far I've had 6 monthly payments extracted from my bank account since I started trying to cancel my membership. I'm warning all of you, they do not make it easy to cancel. They don't process mail sent to their gym locations. You have to go in person to cancel, and you have to go to the place that you opened up your account, unless you upgraded your account then you have to go to that place. It's not that inconvenient unless you no longer live near your original PF location. And I know of no other membership that won't take a cancelation by phone or email. Only a complete idiot would think their cancelation policy has any other purpose than to eke out a few more months after a customer has decided to move on, and apparently I seem like a complete idiot to PF. Planet Fitness is new to the Beloit area and it is an welcomed addition. First the positives: The facility is HUGE with an abundance of treadmills, stair climbers, ellipticals, and weights. They are open 24/7 including holidays, the only day they are closed in Christmas. There are rows of TV's on the ceiling so you can tune you headphones to a particular channel to listen. In addition to gym equipment they have water massage machines, tanning booths, and sizable locker rooms. There are plenty of staff members around and they are actually helpful. The machines are spread out and organized well. The TV channels are the most common ones, CNN, Fox, HGTV, TBS, Food, and a few others. The water fountains are in a central location and allow filling of larger water bottles. Negatives: The machines are new but dated. I know this is nitpicking but the cables to plug your iPhone/iPod are for the old generation not lightning cable comparable. Also the headphone jacks are VERY sensitive, you almost have to plug the headphones halfway and jiggle them the right way to work. The locker rooms are nice but there are no paper towels and you have to bring your own lock every time you go. You also have to bring your own sweat towel or buy one from them, they don't provide. Also the paper towels for wiping the machines down are very spread out and limited. Overall this is a great facility with an abundance of machines and offerings for the Beloit area. I'm sure they are going to work out the kinks, and I look forward to using a gym so close to my house. Also, you really can't complain for only $10/month. read more

This place has finally made me say "to heck with it." I was on the stair climbing machine trying to finish a hard workout at level 17-20 and I am trying to persevere as I see, again and again, the clock stalling and staying on the second for many seconds - in other words I am working longer than I can gauge since last workout. It stalls at a time like 12:30 for several seconds and I am waiting for it to turn 12:31. Cheap stair machines called the Matrix. I should have went to Anytime Fitness down the street but thought I would try this tonight. I have membership to both. read more

I've belonged to many gyms and fitness facilities over the years and have never run into one as clean, as well staffed, and as well run as the Planet Fitness in both Beloit and Loves Park. I use both and the staffs are both friendly and responsive. Well done and kudos on running an outstanding business! read more

First off let me start by saying that I genuinely love Planet Fitness and the philosophy. I've been a member of or visited several different area gyms over the years and I feel most comfortable with the cleanliness and general atmosphere at PF. Beloit has a nice location and besides some kind of outdated equipment (electronics connectors and headphone connections) this place is good. I've rarely seen a time when anything is out of order and when it is out of order it is repaired quickly. There are a lot of machines and I've never been left waiting to use anything for the most part. The staff seems pretty knowledgeable and the current trainer built me a program that is definitely solid and is helping me meet my goals. I would say that the staff is also mostly friendly but could use some work on general customer engagement. That all being said...PF Beloit could use some improvements. 1. Rules need to be enforced. I don't care for the cell conversations in the locker room and photo opps being taken in and out of the locker room and the sitting on machines for oddly long periods of time whilst a guest checks their social media or what have you. I also don't understand the string tank top rule yet allowing shorts so short that I can legit see all of what God or whoever you do or don't worship gave you. It's gross. I'm not judging. I'm just saying we should think about a rule stating that your sack/cha cha can't be on full display. And regardless of the no "lunk" thing...this location is pretty lunky with little to no enforcement of the rule. Also...back to the cell phones...the massage experience isn't very relaxing when the person in the massage chair room next door is watching YouTube videos full of bleeps and screaming at obnoxiously loud volumes. So...ya know...let's stop allowing that stuff. 2. Cleanliness. Overall it has been pretty clean but...the floors are consistently dirty and the women's locker room is always a mess. Always. The benches attached to the lockers are not somewhere I will sit...usually gross and looks like they were wiped with a dirty rag. Today at 6:30 p.m. the locker room - and entire gym - were smelly. Cleaning stations are few and far between but based on my observations not many customers are using them anyway. I had to clean croctch sweat off of a few machines just today. I suggest pre-cleaning anything you use. The filter in the bottle filling water fountain is on week 3+ of needing to be changed. 3. Staff. Again, overall okay and knowledgeable but very few are engaged with customers or are making the rounds cleaning more than just a little dusting. If part of your job is to be a large part of the experience through guest service, then do that. Stop culminating in groups and chatting instead of making sure the rules are being followed, machines and locker rooms being cleaned, etc. I realize PF has recently made the news for enforcing rules but you can't let that one experience make the entire company gun shy to enforce the basic rules that keep the atmosphere comfortable for all guests. Back to some kind of positives: the tanning beds are all great. Pre-clean the standing beds for sure...the area you stand is filthy every time. Otherwise - nice! The red light therapy thing is weird but just not my cup of tea. I was given little to no instruction on using the machine and wasn't aware there is a special lotion and spray one needs to get the full benefit. But okay. I love the hydromassage beds. I haven't tried the massage chairs yet. The personal trainer is cool...kinda quiet and not super engaging but smart and can build and great program. You need to bring your own sweat towel or buy a PF towel. Wireless headphones are useless for TV sound. The TV'S are nice and plentiful with a wide variety of viewing options. As of today one TV has been broken for 3 days. The free weight area and racks are always pretty congested and/or lunked out so you gotta watch that aspect. Regardless of my judgements of the judgement free zone, it is still a good place where you get a lot of bang for your fitness buck. Three stars could have been five if there were some improvements that wouldn't even cost money but require stronger staff and more cleaning. read more

This is the first gym I've stuck with!! I love all the options, the atmosphere is great, and the locker room is very well kept. I will say, I wish the hydro madsage beds for the massages were a little more closed off so you cant hear the person in the next bed listening to their music etc. But overall, I love it here! read more

You say your music is at a set level to all, but that is wrong.By the desk it is a low comfortable level, but at the far end the music is loud, dominant, obnoxious, and shitty music, useless you are 18. I don't like being forced to listen to your type of music, yes I am older, but I come to work out, not to listen to what you call music. I'm sure you would not like to be forced to listen to my kind of music, especially at a loud level, like your trying to drown out the equipment, obviously you have never visited nice gyms like Northpointe, were the music is way in the background, not dominant. And for those who do like there music loud, that's what they make headphones for, plus so people around you are not forced to listen to your loud music. So please quite forcing this on me,if your workers like it, then turn there speakers up not the ones in the main workout area, thank you Mike Descamps read more
