They design my workouts very thoughtfully and make changes based on my physical situation when I come in. I am so much healthier, with excellent balance now and much more strength. It is kept very clean, and they take a lot of pride in keeping the equipment in good shape. Even as a flabby senior, I feel so comfortable there; there is no competition with other members. People are very friendly, and I've had nice conversations with other members. The trainers are wonderful and very knowledgeable. After two months, I feel like a million bucks. No matter what level of fitness you have, there is something there for you, from basic low-level Curves equipment (in its own room) to the high-caliber super-fit stuff. It's a very positive place.

The class was a good mix of stretching and light challenge, and I left feeling refreshed instead of exhausted. Everyone there was super welcoming which made it even better.

I'm sure the class is supposed to be for people needing a good stretch for tired muscles but I use it as a 'self care' relaxation class. When I leave, I feel refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the week. The best part of the class is that Kristin (the usual instructor) starts every class by saying that if you just want to lay on the floor or stay in child's pose for the entire hour you can - and she means it. This truly is a no-judgement class where you can do as much or as little as you want based on what your body (or mind) is telling you to do. Mask policy violation…read more I went to this gym for about a week, and everything was great until you start seeing the true colors of the staff. While I was there, the lady in the front desk was dating one of the gym members. That gym member had a reign to do whatever he wants as if he worked there. Also, the individual made himself comfortable to be behind the desk, although he never worked there, and that is besides the point. While I was working out there, the management made it clear that all of the gym members had to wear a mask while working out. However, the individual I have mentioned earlier was working out and did not wear the mask. He was also talking to other gym member while not wearing a mask, which is a direct violation of the gym rules and CDC of the state of Connecticut. When I have mentioned this to the front desk lady, she immediately defended the actions and I quote " well he lifts very heavy, and he works out hard." In other words, she was defending the policy violation. The front desk lady was also very defensive. When I have mentioned this to the management, the attitude was even worse. All it was mentioned that " I have talked to her, and everyone is entitled to have a bad day." Since the manager was rude during my email interaction with her, I simply asked her do not email me. However, the manager continued to email me even late at night. I highly recommend that you do not go to this gym because it is not only unsafe, but you are dealing a a very poor leadership and terrible staff. The same staff who will tell you to put on a mask but will not apply the same rules to their significant other. If you do not want to catch covid, then I would highly recommend to avoid this gym
