I let my trainer know that I wanted to cancel my membership after my contract was up (end of July). I was consistent in this communication to the personal trainer. Due to health issues, I was unable to continue to utilize the gym. However, there is a clause that says that we can't break the contract unless I am permanently disabled. They also will not honor what their fitness trainer says. He sent me a text that he cleared it with his boss, Drew Melton, but Drew said that it was just a misunderstanding even though the exchange was extremely clear. That aside, I went to sign the paperwork for the trainer to tell me that they aren't canceling my membership, just the trainings and that I would have to talk to the manager (a new manager was hired). After discussing it with him (the new GM) and the woman training him (I believe she is the GM from fostoria), they said I would have to call a number. That number said that I needed to send an email. I let them know what was going on and they said they would send an email to the fitness manager (the GMs boss) to allow me to quit immediately. The training GM manager also said they would send an email as did Drew. That was Tuesday, 7/22/25 and I have yet to be contacted. I did follow up with Drew on Tuesday (7/29/25) that I was looking forward to the manager over the membership decisions reaching out by the end of day Thursday. Drew did not respond and the other manager did not reach out. Not only did they not honor a change of contract that was given in writing by their fitness trainer, but are also refusing to contact me to cancel the membership which forces me to keep paying them for something I can't and no longer want to use.

They can be extremely hard but the coaches work with all levels of fitness seamlessly within the classes. I really like the coaches and my fellow members. My friend and I went to the gym often but wanted more of a push. We found Live Fit and couldn't be happier. We signed up for personal training there and it's been fantastic. We have similar body types and goals. It was awesome we could work out together with one trainer, which made it less intimidating in the beginning. I also love how they schedule and charge for personal training sessions. Every trainer I have had made me feel comfortable, not judged and pushed me. I feel like they really effort into thinking what workout to do for each client. I did personal training in the past and felt like I spent more time following the trainer from machine to weights to machine than actually working out. We also participated in Live Fits XGT class which is an amazing workout. Due to time constraints I am going back to focusing on personal training. If you've ever thought about getting in shape but you have no idea where to even start give Live Fit a call.

Fantastic gym to drop in when you're in the area. I've dropped in here around 4-5 times now over…read morethe past year when I'm in town for work. Coaches are friendly and approachable. Good classes. Solid no frills programming. Ridiculously nice space - it is HUGE. Great gym!

Since this place is the only reason I can claim to have some semblance of sanity (okay, okay, take…read moreit easy)... it's time to not only bump up the star rating but also mention some changes/updates. I moved out A2-way during the earlier days of COVID last year and needed a place to exercise. Remembered enjoying Wolverine Strength and Conditioning several years back and decided to give it a go. At that time, they were doing outdoor workouts, which was a big bonus! Plus, there were a lot of really great people both training and being trained. It was the most social thing that I was doing at the time - so not only did I improve my health by exercising regularly again, I also improved my health by having a social connectedness that was lacking in so many other areas of life. After the summer months, we headed inside. They made nice little "parking spots" with all the equipment separated out so that you had your own space. Of course they required face masks, per state regulations. But they also took extra precautions by giving us cleaning towels and products to wipe down the equipment after every use. They also had us go to the common areas in groups to keep contact down. Now that the weather is turning nice, they have told us that we will be going outside periodically again. It's SOOOO great of them to do that since it really is hard on the equipment, plus it's labor intensive. I honestly can't say enough good things about this gym. If you're looking to get your health in check (especially since we know that health is SO IMPORTANT when it comes to infectious disease) - definitely check this place out. You can drop in for free (one session), and then the $160/month is for month-to-month without an annual commitment. It's like getting a personal trainer - but for a LOT less! I cannot believe the changes I've seen in my body in less than a year... and how much more agile and good I feel. For the record, I'm 47 years old and feel better than I think I've ever felt. I may have gray hair... but I wouldn't mess with me if I were you! ;) Haha.

As far as contracts go, look at it optimistically that working out is a positive effort. If you have to sign one year or two years, its OK. In addition, they offer free classes for members and child care for an additional $15/mo. The only problem I have with this gym is that you sign a contract and there is no way out of it unless you have a medical reason you can't work out or you move at least 25 miles away. I had a change in my living situation which created extra expenses and a gym membership was a luxury I just couldn't afford and was told that there was nothing they could do. So I'm stuck paying for a gym membership for the next year and a half until my contract is up. I was even willing to pay the early termination fee. If it weren't for this and if they were a little more sympathetic to people's personal situations, I would have given 5 stars.

Parker and Jason were great at explaining the membership options and gym fees. I feel like most of us are excited about joining a health club, and more often than not, we bypass the understanding that all gyms have yearly fees and cancellation fees; this is completely normal. In my opinion, the highlights of this gym include the space and variety of rooms available to ensure a great workout. They offer 2-3 different machines for the upper, mid, and lower body, which is great! For advanced fitness enthusiasts, this means you won't have to wait to complete your workout routine. For beginners, I highly recommend hiring one of their skilled personal trainers to start your fitness journey the right way. Any day is a good day to practice self-care. So far, one of my favorite machines is the standing hamstring curl; this machine is a gem, and I'm super happy they have it. The gym is clean, the bathrooms are neat, the weights are organized, and they offer spray bottles with towels for you to wipe down the machines after every use. I have yet to try the classes and provide feedback, or the smoothie bar, hydro massage, and sauna. Eventually, I will. This health club has a lot to offer for everyone, no matter what fitness level you are at. I'm glad I started going here, and I'm looking forward to making new friends.
