This really is a good gym. Decent space with most of the equipment you would need. The staff are always friendly and cleaning the floors and equipment. They enforce rules for the most part (no phones on the floor, put your coats in the locker room, keep your shoes on). Sometimes there's a client using machines incorrectly, making loud noises or grunting etc and it's not always addressed, but it doesn't happen often. The negatives about this gym for me are there is not a sauna (I love a winter sauna session). There are no classes, which isn't that big of a deal, but the problem is there is little room to do anything on a mat. The section with their mirror where most people go to stretch or do mat exercises can fit maybe 2 people, uncomfortably. It would be nice if there was a separate room or at least a bigger area. Perhaps the new squat room no one uses. Lastly, which is no fault to the employees or even owners. But we're leaving this gym because we are straight up tired of the men here. They will power walk around the gym like a weirdo. Come up to you to correct your use of the equipment. Or , like most recently, you will be curling 10lb dumbbells at 8am getting ready to tackle your day and some idiot will come up to you and say, "you gotta stop showing off though".... So needless to say, we're going to go to an all women's gym. If this isn't a concern for you, the gym is good enough. read more

We've been enjoying our time at this planet Fitness for about little bit now. The staff was great at signing us up and it's easy to get in and get out with a great workout. Big fans and the A/C keeps the gym cool and plenty of machines to work anything out. Very clean and wipe stations are throughout the floor. read more

This is my gym, and I'm there several mornings a week. I'm not sure what else they could offer to a work-in-progress like me that they don't offer already. The front desk staff is always courteous and polite. The place is squeaky clean, and the employees always seem to be cleaning something up. The locker rooms are clean and in good repair. Provide your own lock and lock your stuff up, there are not locks on the lockers but I prefer using my own anyway. The equipment is in good repair. Very, very rare is it that there is something I want to use that isn't available due to disrepair. There is enough equipment that even at crowded times, most things are available, or will be after a short wait. I'm a cardio guy mostly and there is a tremendous amount of cardio equipment. You won't wait for a treadmill, bike, or elliptical. I'm a standard member, as I don't need to use multiple locations or the tanning beds and massage chairs. Monthly price of $10? I'll take it. Although, as has been mentioned before the annual fee brings that up to an average a few bucks higher than just ten. But it's still a great price compared to others. read more

I have to post this review, even tho I just cancelled my membership. I spoke with Jon-Paul on the phone at 6am. He was polite, informative, and answered all of my questions! He gave me the information I needed to stop by and cancel. When I stopped by 30 minutes later, he was just as polite and helpful. He also made sure to check the other members coming in, he made sure to take their temperature and ask them the COVID question. Yes, this should always be done to ensure everyone's safety, but based on my previous experiences, haven't been since March 2020 due to COVId but before that I was there every morning since November, with the employees at this place I was surprised. If this is a sign of the changes to this place since new leadership, I would give it a second thought. I use this location solely for the convenience of its location. Their showers are always either broken in some way or disgusting because they're poorly maintained. You may find one or 2 of these types of characters like that in here. They have some rules of the gym that are posted all around, there is also a certain dress code they ask you to follow. Plenty of machines for the walker in you , or if your into the bike thing they accommodate. Weight lifting stations to keep yourself toned are located all around. Tanning is also offered , with some massage chairs you can use. The bathrooms, or changing rooms are kept clean with showers to use if you need to use them. I haven't experienced any kind of negativty from any of the staff members when I had a few questions I needed answered. Prices are not astronomical, very cheap per month ranging from $10.00 to $20.00 dollars per month. Pretty much your basic no frills gym just to serve one simple purpose, which I shouldn't have to explain. In all it's just an ordinary gym, for ordinary people trying to stay fit. read more

People do mask, but many don't practice social distance. Barely music Playing. A few times very hot, stuffy air. Today , a group of 4 to 5 large clients Were being trained by a trainer. I'm surprised nobody has reviewed this place in awhile. First thing, to address the concerns of a few people, this place is under new management. I would say about 6 months ago maybe, not sure. The old team seemed to act like you were bothering them and hanging out on their cells at the front desk. And apparently the GM was MIA for awhile. The new team is amazing and I definitely see a difference. Any issues or concerns I have had the have handled right away. So if you were worried about the old staff, don't let that deter you from coming back. They did get some new equipment, but I wish they had more stationary bikes. They currently only have 4. I've lost out on getting on one a few times bcuz people are waiting. read more

I've been going here almost three years It's cheap $10 a month but there is also a yearly charge they sneak in on you so it is more like $15 a month I like the upright stationary bike ... there are only four and they are in sad need of maintenance, they slip and make noise... it's annoying but I still use them... brought it to their attention several times but it doesn't seem to matter If you like treadmills there are plenty.. Don't let the old reviews scare you! This gym is super affordable and has almost everything that a basic gym can offer. At this location there is plenty of cardio equipment. There is always something open; even during the after work rush time. The machines and facilities are kept really clean and there are always employees around if you need to ask them a question. The only down side is I wish there was more space for free weights/benches. After work when it starts to get busy, this area gets a little crowded and I like to have some space to do cardio+strength exercises combined. For the average gym user who is doing bicep curls and exercises like this, the space is fine. I would prefer that they get rid of the 30 minute circuit area which is usually empty, but I know this is a part of the planet fitness model. I would also love to see some steps and/or boxes to use around the gym. Lastly, the location is perfect. The shopping center is doing renovations and adding stores. In one spot there is shoprite, dollar tree, some take out places and now petco and hair cuttery. There are still a few empty spots so I'm excited to see what comes next! read more

Decided to join PF about a couple of weeks ago and wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in the door. I was greeted by a shining presence whose name is Serena who helped me upgrade to black card member free of charge for a month since I just joined since there were more amenities (hydro massage chair, total body enhancement). They are also up to code with state COVID-19 guidelines which is good (take temperature, ask if you've had contact with someone who has had COVID or had symptoms) and there's proper social distancing measures as well! read more

Very nice and very clean facility. I do have to agree with the bodybuilder reviews- not a lot of free weights available. The machines are good and always free but if you're looking for higher weights... try elsewhere. The staff here is really nice too. I went as a guest but didn't have my license- which apparently is a necessity to get in. They let me in without it. I used to have a black card, but I left and came back with the standard membership. I personally didn't see any benefits of the black card unless I went out of town, plus I did NOT like the massage bed and chair. I will not be using the tanning stations and I really do not know what I would want to use the laser booth for. I am sure it works and worth it for those who know exactly what you are doing. We switched here when it first opened but now it feels like the Gym in the prison yard sometimes. Management does nothing to enforce the rules except turn on the passive Lunk Alarm. Meanwhile, the Jets and the Sharks seem to be working out everywhere. Everything that Planet Fitness claims to be, this location is not! So I went to the acting GM to express my concerns and she told me to change to another gym...with attitude (obviously I was disrupting her fast food meal that she was consuming at the front counter). Typical planet fitness gym. But besides the exercise area the locker room is where I take advantage of too. This one was awful; mainly the shower experience. I'm needing a shower after because I'm about to meet up with friends. First of all the shower doors are see through. Yes, they are textured but that doesn't change that you can see in. As "a judgment free zone," I still don't want people looking at my body especially since I'm not at the level I want to be at in my physical appearance. So I was very uncomfortable in the shower and second they have horrible water heating system because there was none. All the other gyms I have been to had plenty for all. Must get toned and lose body fat! This was pretty much why we joined the gym. Yes i said we. It was like a buy one get one kind of deal. The price was $10/month with $29 startup fee/annual fee per person. The black card was $20/month with a $39 annual fee per person with unlimited guest pass. This deal worked out great for us. Why bother with 2 separate memberships when one was enough. The bf holds the membership; i don't really use the other amenities of the gym so no need for my own membership. This location is close to home so its a great choice plus we can go to any other location as needed. I love that it's right next to ShopRite. We're able get our workout in and do our healthy food shopping done right after. The only thing i find annoying so far is going to the gym during peak hours. I prefer working out during non-peak hours. They do have enough cardio machines that you never really have to wait to use them. The weight area is a good size but can get cramped during peak hours. I gave it minus stars because they don't have fitness classes such as zumba, step aerobics, or yoga. But i guess for the price, it cannot be beat. I do see a lot of couples coming in and working out together. I'm sure they also did this for the unlimited guest deal. Go in get your workout done and get out! read more

As far as gyms go, its not my favorite, but it is convenient. I love that this gym is 24 hours so you can go whenever you feel like it and I like the slogan "judgement free zone." If I didn't already have a membership somewhere else, this gym would be one of a few that I would choose from since the membership is only $10 a month and for $20 a month you get access to any Planet Fitness and unlimited tanning (although I only went once and didn't like it so I'd use this more for the convenience of going to any facility). If you're looking to do cardio then this is the place to go because I don't think there will ever be a shortage of cardio machines! There are a ton! The things I don't like about this gym is that there is no car key rack. It would be nice to put your keys on a rack rather than in you pocket or worry about a locker. I also don't like that there are no free weight bench or squat stations. The machines work, but you get more out of the free weights and some of the machines are at odd angles so its really not doing the same as a free weight station would. The water fountain always seems to taste metallic-y or something so I'd recommend bringing your own. My biggest pet peeve is the air dryers in the bathrooms for after you wash your hands. The gym has paper towels everywhere throughout the facility so you can wipe down the machines. Why can't they have them in the bathroom instead of the lame air dryers that never seem to really dry much? If its to help the environment then I applaud them and take back what I just said, but seeing as though they're all over the facility, I have a feeling that is not the case. read more

This facility is horrendous. Talk about "no gymtimidation." Maybe they should start with replacing some of their lackluster staff- namely the super short, brown haired employee Dan who may be plagued with the short-man complex. I was working out this evening and witnessed an altercation provoked by Dan with a seemingly respectable customer. He went up to her mid rep and seemed abrasive and accusatory toward her because he has a small gym bag/pack on the floor. She was trying to talk to him after his nasty accusations but he seemed extremely disparaging and derogatory toward her. Strange because she was minding her own and respectfully working out. He got loud and in her face for violating an apparent policy of the gym of no bags. Not sure of this is a policy or not- does not seem well advertised. I have been a member for ages and witness the majority of people carrying bags with them through workouts. No one ever seems to be scolded. She did however get scolded for having a small bag on the floor totally out of the way of anyone and anything else, yet myself and others around her had larger bags with us on floor and did not get scolded. People dropping weights, wearing muscle shirts, talking on phone while working out, and a woman topless with only a bra, nearly show her nipples seems Of no concern to Dan. It seemed as if she was trying to explain to him that she has medical concerns with low blood sugar and needs to carry the necessary supplies to deal with this if needed. He did not want to hear about it. In my opinion, he was extremely unprofessional and a disgrace to planet fitness. He got loud and dosrespecrful. I believe his name badge may have said manager. If this is accurate- it's a damn shame that PF had charged him with managing a facility. He offended me so much I left mid workout as I did not want the support a facility under such management. Upon talking with other gym members- thy have also had numerous issues with Dan as well and his bias and singling out people rather than the offending mass Needless to say, I am looking for a new gym where my fellow gym goers are treated with respect and are listened to and not disparaged. read more

GREAT GYM! I did have a problem with one of the staff members (Heather) she was very cocky and rude. I came in as a guest and did not have my ID I was in town and was moving to bellmawr in a few months. I wanted to try the GYM out and she refused my brother in law said ok I'll run home and get your ID.... The manager (Matthew) called me over and very professionally and calmly explained that is policy and told me the reason why they enforced the rule he was willing to let me work out after it was all said and done and I said no I'm going to get my ID to sign up... he thoroughly explained the rules and had me take a class with their trainer also ( which is included in the membership! Awesome... I told him he was a GREAT GM very professional.... I am a manager at a restaurant I would hire him in a second.. Surprised to find out he was the assistant manager and had only been with the company for a few months!
