Same bs again! I was there yesterday and every single tv works but #8 the one with Fox News. I went to the front desk to complain and the people tell you there is nothing they can do about it. After standing there arguing with them they get it to start working again 10 min later. I went back tonight and they turned it off again. No picture,no audio. Stop pushing your woke agenda! This is nice gym. I have been to several planet fitnesses and this one is a lot cleaner and better maintained than most of them. The staff is friendly and it's not too crowded depending when you go. I go here all times. Mornings, lunchtimes, evenings. BEST of all the Delco PFs in terms of cleanliness of the facility. The staff keeps it immaculately clean.The Other Delco PFs need to take a lesson here. The staff here is mega friendly and helpful unlike the other ones. At the other ones they are helpful yet oftentimes gruff. Again, others learn a lesson. Frankly, i feel my stuff is safer here than the other locales. The aston and clifton facilities are closer. Neither are as clean and neither enforce the club rules. The Ardmore one is as close as the Broomall one. I drive further than the other clubs to Broomall because the site is cleaner, the clientele are more caring and respectful of the facility and the rules. Five stars all the way. read more

Visited the broomall location with a friend, Sunday the 27th at 5pm. Assistant manager Kelsey (I believe) and a woman with half of her head shaved were working. Incredibly rude from the start, unwelcoming, unfriendly, and by far the worst PF employees I have ever come across. This was to the point where I requested their names but the other would not give me her name. This comment should be taken seriously because they are a liability to the club and have seriously tarnished my impression of the location. read more

Not only did they not inform me when they closed for Covid... They never informed me they reopened back in June. I only found out they had reopen once they back charged my monthly membership and annual fee. The manager offered to return my back charged monthly fees saying it normally takes 7-10 business days but I shouldn't expect to see anything back in my account for 3-4 weeks... sounds like they pissed off a ton of members with their lack of communication. Definitely wouldn't recommend this franchise- let alone planet fit as a whole. read more

This is a pretty good gym - not great, but competent. The facilities themselves are very good. There is a wide variety of cardio and exercise equipment. Even when crowded, I have never had to wait for a treadmill, etc. Most people are good about wiping down equipment after use, as well. The gym is fairly clean, although there is evidence of age/heavy use here and there. The only shortcoming of the equipment is that the choices are a bit odd. A full third of the gym is dedicated to a "quick," timed workout area and abdominal exercise machines. Not a bad idea, but they seem underused, likely from being cordoned off. There are basically no free weights - just some dumbells and a couple smith machines. I get the "anti-bro" vibe (which frankly seems hypocritically judgemental), but the fact is that a significant portion of this branch's customers want to use free weights. The manager should seriously think about going against corporate policy and expanding this area of the gym, IMHO. The staff leave something to be desired. There tends to be a clump of young men who hang out behind the front counter. They're never unpleasant, and they seem to enjoy hanging out together, but their actual role in the gym is unclear. So far I've only seen one of these men patrol the gym, and now and then I've seen someone wiping down equipment. Other than that, though, the vibe is more like customers are tolerated, rather than welcomed. Maybe PF needs to pay it's workers better? To reiterate, overall it's not a bad gym. For 13 bucks or so/month, it's a great deal. That said, it has the POTENTIAL to be a fantastic gym, if they could work out a few kinks. read more

It's nothing special. Planet fitness is not the sort of gym you can make any sort of major fitness goals at. I only like it for my cardio and accessory work out days. It's not a main movement kind of place... It only has smith machines. I mean if you are wanting to do single leg squats on a bosu ball, then sure, use them. It's a good gym but the staff do nothing about the grunters. The facility could use some cleaning and touch ups. The workout mats are always dirty and I don't think someone has ever cleaned them. There's also some giant ripped patches in the ground near the free weights. Definitely a slip and fall lawsuit waiting to happen. But it's also 24/7 which is great for me when I get off night shift. Overall I would recommend. read more

Did not inform me that they re opened -just started billing me again. To top it off during a pandemic they still are not allowing you to cancel your membership by phone. I can understand pre-COVID-19 but still? This is poor service. Really nothing online? You must come in person or send a certified letter. read more

I really enjoy the simplicity of PF. It's much less intimidating than some other gyms and the clientele is generally chill. For someone like me who isn't that familiar with exercise equipment, the pictures on the machines are fantastic. I've never seen that elsewhere. As I got comfortable with the gym, I was able to add free weights to my routine. I also have to mention the great staff at all the PF locations I've been to, especially Broomall. They are always friendly, helpful and working hard. Gyms are kind of icky if you think about it, but the PF staff are often cleaning and the members tend to clean machines after use. If you're looking for classes or a pool, try the YMCA, but for a simple, low stress workout PF is 9th the best! read more

I've visited the Ardmore, Malvern, Drexel Hill and Broomall facilities during the day and night. All facilities are good but, I frequent the Broomall facility due to proximity to my home. Hugely disappointed in change in billing policy. Instead of being able to pay a year at a time, they want unfettered access to your checking account, and you need 30 days notice to cancel, which by all accounts, translates into additional months billed. We've been going here for a long time: love the no fuss strategy and hours. But we won't be tethering them to our checking account! Clearly some greedy executive calculated that instead of having a full year of dues in the bank, they will make more money by up charging you at the end! Shame! read more

This is an awesome place to work out. The staff is really friendly, all the equipment is clean and well-maintained and the place is huge. You're never at a loss of a machine. If the one you want is taken, move to another and wait it out. There's a ridiculous amount of treadmills, ellipticals and bikes so you should be good to go! Also, ladies, if you forgot to bring a hairtie (like I often do), they keep extras behind the counter. Just ask and they'll give you one! :) Oh, and did I mention they're clean? At least once a week, they're cleaning the nooks and crannies of every machine. I'm down with that. read more

I am not sure why a gallon water jug would not be allowed inside the gym, but I went in today and was immediately told I couldn't bring my water jug in, wasn't given a clear reason other than "it's against our policy" and then I was told I couldn't use the bathroom, or changing room, or the shower (or maybe they said there weren't any of those things due to renovations/ I am not sure because I could hardly hear them at the desk). Having to send mail to cancel your membership is ridiculous and hugely inconvenient. I couldn't get them to hold my membership fees for when I went on military orders, and every other gym I've ever been to has allowed me to do that with no trouble. read more

Great staff. This staff is more attentive than my Miami old home gym. Everything is spotless at all times. massage beds for black card members are allotted ten minutes that's better than the five minutes allotted in the Miami gyms. I wish they had the seated calve raises machine. So far this and free weight flat benches is my only gripe also dumbbell top off at 60lbs... typical for all Planet fitness throughout. Yes, it's another planet fitness! However I have been to some PF that the staff weren't too friendly and the facilities not maintained. This is by far the cleanest PF I have been to, and I have been to quite a few. Staff doesn't just stand behind the desk, they are constantly tidying up and helping out members with questions. The simplicity of this gym, and the great price for a membership really make this a worthwhile place. You won't find the annoying meathead types here...PF simply doesn't approve of them being part of their gym environment. Overall great place to get into shape. read more

This is probably the worst gym I've been to. The gym floors are always dirty, the strength machines are constantly breaking, the locker rooms are filthy, and the staff is extremely lazy. The staff members would leave the front desk unattended constantly. What pissed me off the most is I saw a short man who I believe is the general manager and I overheard him mocking an employee who I assume has autism, since he was making jokes about autistic people. As a father who has an autistic child, I found this completely unprofessional and extremely offensive. I wanted to say something but I didn't want to cause a scene. To mock anyone with a disability is absolutely disgraceful and heinous. I promptly left and decided to switch my gym location. I would never recommend this location to anyone. I have been a member here for over a year. Always clean with well maintained equipment; however, TVs in the aerobic area have always provided intermittent sound coverage for espn & espn2. Never a problem with the other 7 channels. read more

I just joined in Broomall and it's very clean and the staff is great. The one negative I would have to mention is the free T-Shirt that is an XXL that they try to spin as one size fits all. That is not the case since I wear a size 8 Womens clothing. If the Owner was smart they'd have size choices and I would be happy to wear the T-shirt and advertise for PF. Instead, the T-Shirt just went to my rag pile. read more

Terrible customer service and practices - tried to get my service changed and they "claimed" that it was done but I was still charged the following month for the upgraded services and then when I called they gave me a big story that they can not help me anymore because they are not my "home location" and every Planet Fitness is separately owned. Got a bunch of excuses and runaround service with no results. Cancelled immediately and got my bank to issue a refund. Worst run facility ever! read more

Such a good environment to sweat in. Very clean place so I don't ever feel too dirty. I love running on the treadmill and looking over my shoulder and watching Katie Applegate, one of the managers, wiping down the equipment. She is very pretty and i want to be her when I grow up.
