This place is big inside and the employees are cleaning all the time. Just one big problem. People here just don't have gym etiquette---sitting on equipment, scrolling on the phone, working out in groups monopolizing machines, talking on the phone really loud. Nobody does anything about any of it. One time I waited on a machine 19 minutes while a kid was scrolling on his phone. I know because I did the stair master while waiting, and completed 19 minutes. Another time four high school boys monopolized the squat rack while talking to their friends. I waited at least 10 minutes and none of them did a single set. I asked and they said they weren't finished. Another time four women had a party on the leg press while talking and laughing. I complained at the front desk, they did nothing, and I left and drove to another gym. I get it---this is the cheapest place in town to work out but there are some downsides to that also. I recently joined this club a few days ago. As it turns out I joined at the same time the regular membership payments are deducted however, my registration amount did not include the monthly payment. I called the gym to find out why this money tried to deduct from my account and a so called "manager" insulted me by stating memberships aren't free. We argued, she tried to talk over me, their was no customer appreciation. I don't believe she was trained in that. After telling her that the remark was offensive she smirked and chucked and said she didn't mean it. Needless to say my first reaction to this place makes me wonder what kind of jungle this is. read more

I had a situation with a manager a month ago (I assume she was the manager) about an issue she completely blew out of proportion. She would not listen to me and revoked my membership. I called the customer complaint line 3 times requesting a call from upper management. I have not received a call back. I have been a member since the opening and have worked out 2 to 3 times a week. Very demeaning attitude for a planet Fitness employee. read more

This gym recently opened so all of the equipment is newish and smooth. The overall facility seems clean and organized. They have a lot of cardio equipment! If you are into cardio then this is your place. The front desk workers have always seemed pretty nice including a younger man who signed me up to join. The rates are reasonable and they are 24 hours In my opinion it is worth it to pay a little more for the black card. Since I travel quite a bit it's nice to know that I could use another club in other cities with the black card membership ( have already done this with no hassles). You also get to use the massage tables and other perks. This place does not have a lot of plate loaded machines. If that is what you are after youd be better off at another gym. For what I wanted and it's closeness to my house , this gym is great. If you need a gym this could be the place for you! read more

This planet fitness, They do not know how to follow their regulations, Whenever I come here to workout, I see and hear bunch of guys/girls, on their cell phone, talking loud and they chit chat and taking up all the machine. They don't do anything but on the phone or talking, Workers should tell members to go talk outside or in the lobby, Only few may wipe off the machine after usage but most don't wipe or clean up themselves. I haven't hear any Lunk alarm go off there. Most annoying part, lot of people love to hangout there and have loud conversations, I cannot workout comfortably there. Planet fitness workers must enforce them to shut up or go talk in the lobby. So many annoying people goes there to talk and hug all the machine with their cell phone. read more

Ok, I've been going to this Planet Fitness for a little more than a year now and I have to say.. It's a top notch "A" rated facility. They are very covid compliant. The staff wears masks and is always constantly cleaning the equipment. But they did that even before covid. I'm always greeted with a smile and hello every time I come in, no matter who's at the front desk. And always leave with a " have a nice day". So refreshing. Every staff member is always eager to help and answer any questions you might have about the equipment. Just and all around awesome experience every time. Consistency is key! read more

This place is great. Always fun. Never hear profanity or people slamming weights. In the evenings there will be a few young people sitting on a machine for thirty minutes texting while people are waiting. That could be policed a little better. Rarely too crowded. ALWAYS clean and nice. I've never seen anything broken or unusable. I understand the concept but do wish they had barbells over 70 pounds and the Olympic barbells weren't just in the Smith machines. There are some who's form is so bad they'll really get hurt if they try squatting with free weights. There are plenty of other gyms that have really free weights and more of a gym atmosphere. I go to PF because I'd rather be in their atmosphere. Having said the few negatives, they always have personable young people working there. Very family friendly. I need to go more often. I feel great when I go regularly. read more

Not sure why so many negative reviews. Gym is always clean machines look fairly new and operate as they should. Never had an issue with WiFi etc. if your signing up do it online I went in to sign up and they had me download the app so I did it all by myself anyway so save yourself time. Planet Fitness always has deals I signed up with I think 10 cents down then the yearly fee isn't until October then it's $10 a month from there. This is worth every penny it's almost never super crowded and you can use the app to see how crowded it is. I'm usually there before 12 pm but have gone around 3 pm and it still wasn't super busy. Just clean machines before using them people tend not to wipe them down after using I've witnessed it many times but that's not the gyms fault that ppl are nasty like that. I used to have a one life membership worst decision that one on sixes road was a nightmare machines were old and it was packed every hour of the day. Check out this location I've been signed up for a little over a month now and I love it! read more

I have a black card membership that was cancelled early but still good until February 16th which I showed them the documentation. Because I couldn't use the App to scan in and nothing came up when I gave them my phone number they tried to charge me 5 dollars for a day pass even though I have a black card membership. They refused my membership which I've already paid for. This is inexcusable. read more

Signed up online and went in to pick up my card and take my picture for "on file". The older kids behind the desk weren't very friendly (no greeting as I entered or acknowledgement) although they definitely all stopped what they were doing to see who I was. It felt weird but I let it slide and obtained my keycard. The gym itself was almost spotless. I didn't see any junk or waste on the floors and the space almost reminded me of home - the smell of clean. The machines too all appear to be in working order and newer. I guess this is because the location hasn't been open very long. I'm anxious to head in for a full workout and use the hydromassage (& if I was a few shades lighter I'd use the tanning machine as well ). The parking lot is huge as this place is located in a strip mall so parking here should never be an issue unless it's like Black Friday or something. read more

Super clean and friendly.., close to my home with extra perks I took advantage of with Black card access like the hydro massage bed and massage chair. The owner told my son he can not freeze more than one month despite that the contract states that he could freeze for 3 months. He did not even return his emails. He also informed the owner verbally that he wants to cancel and the owner told him that is ok. Then my son was surprised that they sent him for collecting agent and charged him for 5 months. They are not honest and they get advantages of kids. Be careful when you want to cancel and do not trust any verbal agreement. Put it in writing because they will deny everything they say if it is not in writing. read more

Been going to the gym for a while. So very frustrated with this whole must wear a mask thing but yet the cleaning by customers is not being monitored or enforced. I go to this gym at least 5 days a week. I use the elliptical which faces the free weights with benches and the leg press machine close by. I cannot tell you the number of times I see people NOT wipe down their equipment when done. They use multiple sets of weights, put one set back and then another customer comes up and picks up those same weights and they were never wiped down. The benches and leg press are the same way. There are customers who have a bottle of cleaner in their hand but never use it. You either need to post a sign telling people to wipe their stuff down or have someone stand over there and monitor the process instead of standing at the front desk on their CELL PHONE!!! And what happened to the Lunk alarm?? Guys especially throwing weights down after they finish a set and literally I can't tell what the loud noise is.... is it storming... did someone fall.... is someone shooting?? And with headphones on it makes it worse. Some of us have PTSD and those loud bangs are a trigger!!!! Use the alarm instead of standing at the front desk on your CELL PHONE!!! read more

Janice is extremely rude, petty, and was extremely patronizing to my self and the guests i tried to bring in. Upon arrival i asked how i could get in a third guest. She immediately sighed and pointed for us to step to the side, okay sure thats fine is what im thinking to myself. She proceeds to have my guest fill out all this online information and then after that she smiled and told me she had bad news. She would only allow one guest at a time and told my second guest she could sit in the Lobby and watch us work out. Oh and the best part is she was making it loud and clear to fellow passer bys that i was allegedly not paying my bill. (Which is obsurd, i get charged 25$ a month) when i tried explaining that the charges were coming out of my checking account she proceeded to cut me off and apparantly knew more than i did about what bills i pay and which ones i dont. Just visited this newly opened location! It's right in the middle of the new complex. Parking was easy today as most of the surrounding businesses weren't yet open. Normally at the Woodstock location, water is 0.76 for Black Card Members. It was $1.06 at this location so bring extra money if you purchase the Deer Park water! read more

Unlike One Life fitness on Sixes, this place is super clean. Where one life's staff is some of the most Rude and condescending people I have ever meet this staff is super friendly, attentive, and down to earth This is the best gym in the area. Plus they are also the least expensive!!! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I visited this location in March of 2020, to cancel my membership. The kid I spoke to confirmed that he canceled the membership, and I went along my merry way. He never gave me a document confirming that it was canceled, but I didn't think I need one as he assured me it was taken care of. Just this month I was reviewing my bank statements and saw that Planet Fitness had been charging me since June of 2020, 2 months after I canceled to present day, totaling $440. I visited a planet fitness near my home in Louisville Ky where I now live, and canceled my membership for the second time. This time I received an e-mail confirmation that it was in fact canceled. I was given a number to call for Planet Fitness headquarters, and was put in hold for 25 minutes waiting to speak to someone and when I did she just passed the buck onto the club itself and said she couldn't do anything about it. I then called the Planet Fitness in Canton and was told since I had no proof that there was an error made by an employee that day I had no recourse. So because some ill educated employee made a mistake in March of 2020 I am out of $440. The business practices employed by Planet Fitness are the worst I've ever encountered, and I highly encourage anyone considering joining this gym or any other planet fitness locations to reconsider and not give these people your money. read more
