When something breaks you cannot trust that it will get fixed. And the odor in saunas are strong. Not something i've experienced before under previous ownership or at other locations. It is always clean and organized. The staff is friendly enough but there seems to be a decline in facility maintenance and that is concerning.

I visited CrossFits EX to get information before starting a free session. My experience in the past…read morewith Crossfit is that they are very picky as to your fitness level, so I wanted to make sure this was a welcoming place for beginners. The person who greeted me informed me that the classes were for all fitness levels and it is for all ages. I was told to come with my daughter, who they also said was welcome, so that we could try it out. Once I got to the class, we were separated from the other class members (was told classes were at your pace) in a private session. In the end, I was told my daughter, who is turning 12, was too young and could only do private sessions, and I should also do private sessions for at least 6 classes (for us both, this would be over $160 a session). I see they have happy customers, but I am sure they all must have come in fit or done their private sessions as suggested. I would not recommend this place if you are starting your fitness journey. You can get private training at a gym and some of the more beginning-level-welcoming CrossFit gyms. If CrossFit is your sport of choice and EX is the closest to your house, I am sure they will welcome you in once you are all fit and ready for their classes. In my case, a place that says I am welcome but treats my fitness level like a problem will never get any of my money

Gordon the owner/coach and all of his staff were knowledgeable, helpful and made everyone there feel awesome. I dropped in four days in a row and even did Yoga for the first time after the WOD on the fourth day. The facility is a good size, certainly not tiny, but not too open/big.
