I'd been a member for less than a week when owner Matt confronted me as I was about to shower, accusing me--without evidence--of letting "multiple people" use my access card. This was impossible: the only other person I've ever brought is my fiancé, and her access was expressly permitted by Antonio during my membership signup. Antonio assured me my pregnant girlfriend could use the restroom as needed (she has never touched any equipment) and even sit in the front area while I worked out--conditions Matt later dismissed outright. When I asked to review security footage, Matt refused. I then offered to pay any penalty or simply add a membership for my fiancé, but he said, "No, you have to leave," uttered racial slurs, and forced me off the premises. Humiliated and unsafe, I left immediately. Research shows similar patterns elsewhere: one member reported being threatened with a $250 "non‑member" fee and rude, aggressive behavior when trying to clarify a simple access issue. These incidents suggest a troubling trend among some franchisees. I am a congenial person and don't normally write complaints, but I feel it is my Christian duty to speak out. No one--especially a pregnant woman--should face this treatment in a facility built on community and respect. Please investigate this matter and ensure no other member endures such abuse. Extremely Disappointing Experience at Workout Anytime Canton I am beyond appalled by the discriminatory and unprofessional treatment my wife received at this gym. My wife, a professional bodybuilder, 2018 Arnold Classic champion, and an inspiration to countless women, was unfairly targeted because another member was "bothered" by her taking a phone call. Instead of addressing the issue respectfully or mediating, the owners chose to cancel her membership without cause. We've been loyal members since this location opened, actively supporting and promoting the gym. We even brought in 8x Olympia Champion Lee Haney to your facility. Despite all of this, my wife was disrespected and unfairly treated, seemingly because she is an African American woman and an accomplished athlete. This incident reeks of discrimination and bias, particularly when the complaining individual doesn't even embody the fitness standards this gym should strive to promote. It's a shame that Workout Anytime Canton chooses to alienate its members--especially those who have contributed to its growth--in such a disgraceful way. Rest assured, this issue will not be ignored. I'll be addressing it with our attorney and bodybuilding federations, ensuring that this behavior is exposed and condemned. If you're a person of color or a dedicated fitness professional, think twice before supporting a gym that doesn't respect its own members. I'm not one to write reviews; however, this is an exception. I travel for my job--all over the country and world. I have had several gym memberships over the years. This was the most unprofessional/bizarre experiences I've had with ANY business--not just a gym. This is the event that transpired: The owner, Mr. Matt Cunerio, was working with a client as my fiancé and I were warming up on the treadmill. I noticed him looking over and I waved/smiled to say hello. Note: He has a tendency to be EXTRA friendly and jokes with me when my fiancé is NOT present with me--however, when my fiancé IS with me, he's very cold, stand-off ish, and rude. He gave no response and was very cold. I didn't think much of it. Once I finished warming up, I was utilizing two different machines (my workout for that day was supersets). We were at a relatively "slow" time in the gym (around 11:30-12:00). I had noticed Mr. Cunerio on several occasions looking over my direction (which is not uncommon for me to experience this from him). While I was on the cable lat pull-down machine, I noticed Mr. Cunerio picking up my water bottle and reading glasses that were sitting on the bench on the chest press station. I approached him and let him know those were mine and I was wrapping up my last set. He looked at me and said, "you're not allowed to use two sets of equipment." I was absolutely puzzled and asked him if he was serious (since he has a tendency to he "playful" with me). As you may have guessed--my fiancé was with me that day so he was singing a different tune. He said in a very abrupt manner, "yes, I'm dead serious. This is my gym, my rules. If you don't like them, you can leave. You need to share with other members." (At no point had anyone asked to work in or wanted to use the equipment). Again, I was trying to process this interaction considering 24-hours prior, my workout was a superset and he was friendly to me. Anyways, I told my fiancé about the interaction. My fiancé approach him and asked him calmly if supersets were not allowed in his gym. He immediately rose his voice (I was on the other side of the gym and could hear him with my headphones in). I walked over to get my car keys to leave. Mr. Cunerio told both of us to leave due to us violating policy. I asked him where does it say IN WRITING that we violated this "no super sets" policy since it's not on his list of rules printed on the front desk's counter. He was unable to give an answer and proceeded to tell us to leave. He was then asked by my fiancé why other people could use one set of equipment for an lengthly amount of time of which he provided no response. My fiancé asked him if they could have a conversation to clarify (since we both were still trying to process this interaction). Mr. Cunerio became hostile and aggressive towards my fiancé and told us he's had nothing but problems with the both of us. Note: we've only been members since February. My fiancé has only been to this gym maybe 3x and has only exchanged maybe 10 words with Matt (of which were normal coming/going pleasantries). My fiancé asked to have a one-on-one conversation in his office about expectations and policies. Mr. Cunerio looked at him and said, "I'd like to but the peanut gallery won't stop talking." (Pointing at me). Long story short, Mr. Cunerio continued to escalate and my fiancé said if he is going to continue , that he would call the police. Mr. Cunerio said he'll do it "for us." Three police officers showed up--we explained to them about the interaction we had with Mr. Cunerio. They were just as confused as we were. Fully aware that it's "private property"--we left and continued our discussion with the police outside. I received an email from his "wife," Mrs. Tina Cunerio, that my membership had been cancelled; however, my fiancé's membership wasn't. I later found out that Mr. Cunerio told my fiancé that I was supposedly the "second female" he's kicked out of his gym after only being open for 10 months and the only members that he kicks out are women. So, this was a review worth writing and notifying corporate. As I read through some of the reviews, the unprofessional, abrasive, rude behavior seems to be an trend with Matt. I would caution--especially females (since he admitted his sexual discriminatory behavior) considering this gym. There are other gyms locally that provide far more professional experience than this one. Bottomline: when someone questions what you told them on a "policy" that doesn't exist and you react aggressively with hostility when being caught for being a pervert-- Not the gym I would suggest to go to. The Corporate office has been made aware and will be investigating the incident. read more

Gym is clean and close to my home, however the owner was rude to my son and a guest as the were from a different gym. They are franchise and get no money when you come from another gym. I will be cancelling my membership at this location, too many gyms available to deal with attitudes. read more

I've been a member of this gym for about a year now. They are a bit on the smaller size but offer all of the equipment I am used to seeing in larger gyms. I love the flexibility of the hours, and I've found both the owners and the staff to be friendly and upbeat. The gym is always clean, the equipment is always well serviced and working and I really like the fact that they have Hydro Massage beds, Tanning and an Infrared Sauna. Although you need to sign a contract to join, I am on the month to month plan, so cancellable anytime. Be advised, as a previous reviewer stated, if you cancel, you have to give them thirty days notice and you will have to pay for that month. Recently, a friend of mine had to put her membership on hold for several months due to a health issue and she said that it was an easy process. As for downsides, if you want to use the Hydro Massage Beds and Tanning, it's considered a Premium membership (which is optional), and there is a slight upcharge for it. Also, you can only use the tanning and sauna services during staffed hours, which begins at 9am. Last but not least, they don't offer any classes. Overall, I really like this gym. It suits my needs, it's local (making me more apt to use it), and having the sauna, Hydro Massage Beds and tanning services for an additional $10 a month, offers me more, at a lower price, than my local YMCA. read more

the owner Matt is very unprofessional, my wife joined a week prior and had a bad experience with the staff. on her next visit she spoke with Matt the owner and asked for the corporate numbe she was immediately asked to leave or the police would be called. come to find out the person she had a conflict with was the owners wife. my wife asked to cancel her membership he wouldn't do that he said leave. read more

The gym is nice. However just know you have to give a 30 day notice. Which is ridiculous being a no contract month to month. I get not last minute. But I did so 11 days before the end of the month and they are still taking next month out. I can't even though I can't utilize the facility. read more

This gym is pretty awesome! Not too busy, clean. Tanning beds, hydro massage beds, sauna, free weights to the moon and back. A free weight squat rack and assisted for those who need that. Deadlift rack, arm curl rack that you can adjust weight on. A plethora of arm and leg machines. All around pretty nice. 10/10 would recommend read more
