Lets start with dismissive, uncaring, and unhelpful. Been a member for a few years based on hours they are open. When items like an ab roller are stolen, they take months to replace them. Was traveling domestic this weekend and my credit card was skimmed and a fraudulent charge was attempted over seas. Went in today to update a new credit card number (4 days after the bank cancellation) for my monthly billing. Seems they tried to pull my monthly account a day after my bank cancelled it. Hit me with a $20 charge for me, my wife, and my daughter ($60) and refuse to cancel my account going forward if I dont pay the fees plus the next month in advance. I could swallow the next month in advance, maybe even one of the 3 x $20, but they were not reasonable. Now a member of a new gym. There is a difference between straight policy and carrying about members. read more

$25 for my membership and I can go to any PF in the USA??? Done deal. If you travel often like me, this is the best membership I have found. Ok so they don't have a sauna, steam room, pool, or hot tub. I really miss these but for the price I totally think this is worth it. These are always very very clean gyms! I love this!! Thank you to all the hard working staff who seem to be constantly cleaning. Walking around with little vacuum backpacks picking up every little speck of dust. Clean bathrooms. The showers are ok. Some better than others if I had one "do better" thing to say it would be please pay more attention to the showers. The machines are in good shape. Weights section is nice. A lot of them are large and sometimes have two levels. Plenty of space. The staff is always friendly when you are coming and going. read more

Flagstaff is a tough place for gyms. There are no other national branded health clubs in town. Summit Fitness used to be the best place to go but they closed down. I can't figure out how this absentee owned Planet Fitness is allowed to continue operating by Planet Fitness corporate. Machines always broken, two out of four stairclimbers always down. They had no hot water in the showers for a month! Place just sucks but there is no competition. read more

As a nomad who bought the black card membership so I could shower on the road, this was the most disgusting shower area I have encountered that includes rustic quarter feed camp shower. the grime ob the curtains and walls made me retch. please have an overhaul of the women's locker room showers. read more

Went in to join up, but needed to try out the leg press because I had an injured leg. Both the front desk AND the manager would not let me walk back to the leg press for 5 min to see if it would work for my injured leg. When I belonged to a PF in Phx a few months before and again I wanted to walk around to ensure they had the equipment I wanted, NO PROBLEM. They did have me sign a liability waiver first, but then after 15 min of checking it out, I joined. So apparently even a manager did not see the value of letting me check the leg press to get a member who pays each month. They did offer me a day pass for $25 for 5 min with the leg press. I guess they must have thought I was as financially dumb as they are. read more

I'm surprised to see so many poor reviews focused on customer service. I am from Sacramento and was passing through. Came in to get my workout and shower. I work in the fitness industry and have had a PF membership for when I travel. Each Pf we have been to has its own personality. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and the energy from the building was great. I was exceptionally impressed with how pleasant and also thorough the employees were. Two different employees helped us but I specifically remember Paige. She went above and beyond for me which is hard to come by these days. Me and my fiancé were pleasantly surprised at our experience here after traveling to so many and experiencing different communities and different culture of each location. read more

There has been NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWERS FOR OVER TWO WEEKS. As a black card member this is unacceptable. Staff states that they can not fix it because Corporate has a contract with a plumber in PHOENIX??? WTAF! EVERY PF club I have in while traveling across 8 states has had either no hot water, no handicap accessible showers or both. PLANET FITNESS membership is worthless and a scam. PLANET FITNESS CORPORATION is flailing and obviously does NOTHING to monitor franchisees or club conditions. The franchise structure forces customers to deal with original club if you need to change your membership. Corporate structure makes it impossible for customer to get any help. They are well aware of all the problems but they do not care. Time for a class action law suit. I am reporting to the Attorney General. Let corporate make their excuses to them. Can't beat the price for a membership here. The black card comes with some awesome perks like tanning and water beds and you can bring a friend for free. Usually a fair amount of people but can get a little to busy at times. Awesome staff. The app works good you can see how busy it is b4 you go. read more

Please give the workers here a raise! Is it a prerequisite to be a nutcase at the Flagstaff Planet Fitness? I've used Planet Fitness six days a week for the last few weeks, usually in the evenings right after work, which is busy/high time for them. At least once a week, I've spotted the crazies trying to fight/loudly argue with or talk the ear off of the employees at the front desk. The workers take these challenging customers with such grace and professionalism. They truly deserve a gold medal, as I would not have the time nor the patience that they do. Every time I go in, they welcome me and are so genuinely friendly. My heart is broken that the gyms have just closed again for the next 30 days due to the governor's executive order. There is an abundance of very nice cardio and weight machines, all of them are new with USB ports and fans. I've never had to wait for a machine. They are socially distanced and cleaned frequently. The environment is friendly and to-the-point, most everybody is there to get their workout done and go. Great bathroom/locker areas with ring lit mirrors to fix your hair/makeup after a workout. Flexible hours (until it got shut down), and they froze our accounts so we aren't being charged for time when we can't use the facilities. I'm a very big fan of this location! read more

The staff is terrible. The manger Conner makes up his own rules when he's not satisfied, the place is always dirty and you can see the machine are never properly cleaned.. so you know Covid is lingering around. MANY out of order machines. Women's lockers are ghetto with broken locker doors and dirty showers. Guests cannot use the "spa room" the water massager is never cleaned after every use. The massage chair is from the mall because the quarter dispenser is still attached. Would not risk using the tanning beds.. Planet Fitness is just a big room with machines, no real room to stretch and no amenities. Save your money and take a jog outside because it basically the same thing.. Would recommend Flagtaff Athletic Club, they have actual amenities. read more

Visited this location while in town, and they appear to have everything you expect equipment-wise. It is a bit cramped as the layout forced them to cram all their strength training equipment in the western 1/3rd of the gym, with the cardio equipment henned into tight rows along the other 2/3. It can be hard to maneuver around the machines during workouts, and the bench/dumbbell area is particularly tight. If there's more than 3 people in the bench area, you may have to get creative to do any standing exercises, and good luck getting an available bench. However, the 360, 30-minute and ab-workout areas have a more typical amount of room to move. They do get a decent crowd as it's the only PF in town and Flagstaff doesn't have a ton of gym options. So sometimes the strength equipment you need is being used, and you'll probably have to adjust your workout or wait. However, they seem to have more than enough cardio equipment for most occasions. However, given all that, I found working out here mostly comfortable. People here are pretty chill with their workouts and no one should make it uncomfortable. Staff is laid back and friendly. Overall, this is a decent Planet Fitness, though given the constraints I mentioned proceed with caution about coming in at peak times (weekdays 5pm-8pm, weekends 10am-2pm). Also note this is NOT a 24 hour location, so make sure you get here before 8pm on weekends, or before 10pm on weekdays. The gym's located on the outside of a mall, so there's a ton of parking, even though getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit of an adventure since it is a mall parking lot. read more

THEY ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. I applied for a trial one day pass and got approved with an email verification. I arrive at the gym in Flagstaff to have the Gestapo (two immature clueless humans) rudely say they do not accept one day trials anymore. I countered with if they did not honor day passes why did I receive this email for the flagstaff location today. I worked in hospitality for $7 minimum wage and these ungrateful people make $15 minimum wage. I will be contacting corporate about my interaction for discrimination. I guess you get what you pay for, so I'll be spending more money at another gym. read more

They're super friendly here & it's a nice clean & new space so everything's still shiny haha. It's set up well for having cardio in one section, some free weights, circuit training style, etc. The ab/stretch section feels odd because it has hip/glutes machines but I'm down for it. They're reasonably priced, especially for Flagstaff so that's why I chose them & they have an option for massage chair use, a red light machine & etc (you'll see that all online). 100% feel I'm getting my money's worth! To be fair I've only been a member a couple weeks lol... But still. Have gym equipment at home but Corona has motivated me to be more socially oriented evidently lol. I tend to try to come during slower times despite that inclination but it's nice to see friendly faces without socializing too. Best of all worlds so it's a big win for me & endorphins are always a win. Plus health benefits of working out & etc. I've been to other gyms in Flagstaff & they all have something unique to them & I'm happy to go here for my needs. Prefer to hike or kayak personally but this way I feel safe going alone without worrying about my safety on trails by myself. Being female rocks lol (tho actually does otherwise) but is what it is. Love coming here so far. My favorite thing so far, which may be silly, is their machines count each rep for you - I get too distracted to keep track so usually just go until I'm exhausted, which I still do, but it's nice to have a number for self-satisfaction or to better align set goals, etc. So psyched about that. It's simple but I'm easily pleased. Usually go local but travel so wanted to find something to utilize when out of town. Has been perfect already: visited 3 other locations within my first week of membership & everyone's been pretty nice, employee & fellow members. The sign in process is efficient at each with the app they scan. Each check-in earns points for some thing or other which is cool for anyone that needs the extra incentive which is smart, but I ignore those emails so don't know what the points really do. They have tanning beds too but anyone who can see my pictures on here can probably safely assume I'll keep my 100SPF-self far away from those. Some people love those so there's that too. read more

This is the only PF I have ever felt judged at by an employee. I am traveling the country and have had dozens of visits around the states and at this location I was asked to provide my identification. No one else in line was asked for their ID. At no other location was I ever asked to identify myself, other than when I first signed up for my black card.... Felt the opposite of a "Judgement free zone". Straight up got judged. I've been traveling across country for about 4 months so bought the Black card membership strictly to shower so this review is just about that. This is the worst PF, showerwise, in 10000 miles. One dressing room was next to the three showers. The handicapped one had no shower curtain and when I complained at the front desk, they said it doesn't work anyhow though there was no sign. Two young women were in the shower for over a half hour even though they knew people were waiting. Seems like they might want to set a time limit since they have such inadequate facilities. read more

Worse location across the country. I know flagstaff is a college town but you would think you would train your staff to be able to make executive decisions when there are nothing but children working here. I have been in flagstaff for a about 3 weeks. The first time I used the showers in the women's bathroom there were absolutely no hot water which has never happened at a planet fitness. ALSO the handicapped shower head had been broken off. Barely any water pressure. My boyfriend took a shower in the men's locker room once again no hot showers and two of the showers were out of order. We are traveling through town and did not have much cash to be splurging. This location wouldn't let me use any of the black card admentaties the intire time I've been here because of the optional fucking eyeglass wear I did not have money to purchase. They do not have the temporary ones that usually are a alternative. Which let me add they haven't had the interested time I've been coming to this location.. Your team really need some adults in charge. The kids that were "working" had no idea what to say or handle anything. The girl did nothing but homework The whole time. While the young man that denied me the total body enhancement bed had a deer in headlights look. Train your employees. This is ridiculous. For the first time I have to say I'm disappointed with planet fitness because of the customer service, knowledge, and training. read more

Sadly worse PF I've worked out at. 1 out of 3 showers working. Was told it was going on for months. The one shower wasn't cleaned and never seems to be clean. Had a moldy smell and hair on the ground, was just nasty. The weights are not cleaned or taken care of by the employees. Everything is supposed to have a place but nothing is organized and it feels like straight chaos. The tanning seems to always be broken, also this location does some weird thing where u can't even start your own bed. They start automatically after a delay u set at the front so have to time it perfectly. Normal PFs when u tell them how long u want they enter it then u start it at the bed or stand up bed. Hate to write this but it's so sad going to other great PFs for so long and absolutely loving PF then coming to this location and being let down so hard. Was even considering ending my membership entirely because this location. Owner and manager need to get their shit together. Flagstaff is supposed to be a nice place to live. Step up and take care of your issues. read more

Definitely the worst customer service I've ever had at a gym or otherwise. I had to cancel my membership about a week or so after signing up because I injured myself. I did it right away and received a statement that said my balance was zero. Fast forward a week later and I was charged for another month. The guy who signed me up said if I canceled by a certain date I wouldn't be charged. I did exactly that but turns out that was false information. I wrote the manager and she was of absolutely no help. Her name's Morgan Good. So far everyone has thrown up their hands. You need to train people correctly and when they mess up you shouldn't punish the customer. I'm so beyond disappointed. read more

There is a lot of cardio machines as well as machine weights. They have an area with free weights as well. Of course it is all new, so so far the equipment is nice. Planet Fitness has some of the friendliest staff members! I have always felt very welcomed by them even if I stay until closing time I don't feel like they're annoyed or trying to rush me out. I also appreciate the steps they are taking to prevent the spread of COVID. The only thing that is slightly disappointing about the gym is the lack of free weights, but everyone who signs up for a membership there should already be aware of that. It is quite a good deal for what you get at the gym compared to other gyms though so this place is definitely worth going to. read more

The bathrooms are not cleaned regularly. Every shower was dirty with hair and other remnants of who knows what all over the floors. The showers even smelled! It was obvious the shower curtains aren't cleaned as they were covered in scum in both the men's and women's (I went with my partner). I checked the bathroom cleaning log and it was last checked at 2pm. I was there past 7pm. The bathroom hadn't been checked/cleaned in 5 hours??? I used a hydro bed and it had no pressure at all. Felt as if someone was blowing water through a straw on my back. So glad this is not my home PF because this I could not come here again. read more

Go to a locally owned fitness center or gym in Flagstaff. This place sucks. Morgan the "manager" doesn't know how to manage and doesn't take customer issues seriously. This gym isn't for anyone who wants to seriously train, or get their workout done efficiently. You know, get in/out so others can use the equipment. There are too many people (mostly chicks) "camping" out on machines. There are 4 Smith machines and these people stage their water bottles, keys, towels, etc... all over the benches while they play on their cell phones. Not just "rest between reps" (they probably don't even know what that is "a rep") but they literally text, watch videos, etc... and refuse to let others "work in" - you know, GYM ETIQUETTE! When Morgan is confronted about this her response is essentially they can use the machine all day if they wanted. Never mind that another paying customer can't complete their work out unless they want to sit and wait all day. Oh and if you ask Morgan if you can talk to her boss "I can't give you that information." What? You can't give that info to a paying member?! Membership has been canceled. read more

Everything is great except there's only one TBE. The girl with black hair occasionally wears glasses. I get too irritated with her to bother looking for a name tag on her. She insisted I have to wear eye protection...which I already have. She's basically trying to push their tanning eye protection which is just annoying. Then the schedule for the one TBE isnt really a thing signed up for 730 walked out at 745 because I couldn't use the damn thing. Planet fitness has completely transformed my life... the people who work at the front desk are so wonderful and friendly and extremely helpful and sweet!! And the personal trainer is SO GREAT! They have every kind of workout equipment and it's very specious.. upbeat music and encouraging writing on the walls. This is a great gym to be a member of!! The equipment is old and the staff needs to be properly trained on the black card equipment. Went to tan and for the second day in a row due to them screwing up I was told would have to wait 24 hours again before I could tan due to their mistakes. Apologize all you want but when you pay for the black card benifits you should be able to use them. read more
