I have had bad experiences with gyms not cancelling my memberships when asked so when I joined this gym I made sure to address this with the owner before I signed up. He reassured me that this would not be an issue and that I could cancel anytime. I have called and left voicemails multiple times for over a month. My account has now been overdrawn. When I was going to this gym the owner was in the office constantly so there is no excuse why I have not received any callbacks. I'm going to have to cancel my card and possibly seek a lawyer if they keep trying to charge me. Definitely do not go to this gym! read more

I work out in Anytime fitness nationwide, and this is one of the least well managed locations in the chain. It is massive and has lots of equipment so that's not the problem. The problem is who they have managing the place - young guy doesn't seem to care. The machines are in disrepair loose cables, loose bolts loose dumbbell handles. Once they go into out of order mode, they stay there for months. And don't get me started on the bathrooms today I was in there and the floor was littered with not one but two tampon insertion plastics and three used razors. There was a lake on the floor, Hair everywhere and even used but wiped toilet paper in the middle of the floor in the gym. This place used to be very well run and get by on how much equipment they've crammed into it, but is in serious decline as of about a year ago. Also, no Wi-Fi they'll tell you they have Wi-Fi but no matter what phone you bring. It won't connect. read more

Love Anytime Fitness, not to hip on this one though. I hit AF nationwide, so I guess I should start reviewing them. First issue at this AF: the hours. Ten A.M.! So much for forgetting your fob on vaca. Great selection of equipment, but many didn't work properly, especially the cables in the back right corner. But...again, they had three sets of cables, which is very nice. It's not that easy to work in with someone else, and I love my cables. Next thing: Music. Now, I'm not a prude by any means, but I guess I must be used to my hometown gym that plays ALL music. The two times I visited this gym, they played nothing but gangster rap. All that said, again, I still recommend this AF if you're in Flagstaff, and the hotel gym stinks. read more

This gym is def more lowkey than FAC. There's usually not a big crowd unless you're there during lunch or after-work hours! The only downside is trying to get your membership set up can sometimes feel impossible. It took me about 2 weeks to successfully coordinate the meeting but once I finally got it I was hooked! There are a few people that attend this gym that give off creepy vibes but it usually does not affect my workouts. The general population of this gym is college kids and middle aged people so it's a pretty chill environment. Very disappointed in this gym!!! Small group sessions are offered every morning tying up 2 of the 3 cable machines and several of the barbells!!! They closed the gym two weeks ago and just took $45 out of my daughter's account today. They should not be taking any money out of people's accounts while the gym is closed. The only way they can be contacted is by voicemail and the voicemail is full. Obviously many other broke people that are not working are calling to complain. There is no other way to contact the owners on their website. Planet fitness and other gyms are not taking additional money out of people's accounts at this time. This gym was also aware several days ago they would not be opening up for awhile now. I realize they are a small business and didn't ask for this, but that doesn't mean they should take money out of people's accounts who are not working. The customer service at this Anytime Fitness is horrible! I understand they are closed due to the pandemic, but you can't even leave a voicemail. I emailed about a billing issue complaint. They took a week to get back to me. Said they would look into it and get back to me. Haven't heard anything in 3 weeks. Twice now they have billed me during the pandemic when I have only had access to the club for 2-5 of my billing cycle. I would be okay if they charged me a prorated amount of the monthly dues, but I can't even talk to anyone about it. When our contract says we get access to the club 24/7, 365, they should not be charging for the entire month when you only get access to the club for 2 days. Maybe I'm wrong and they can. This is the dirtiest gym I have ever been in! There has been a black ring in one of the sinks for over a month. There is so much filth and debris in the bathrooms that you don't even want to go in. The toilet paper and paper towel receptacles are always empty. The floors are always filthy and the shower curtains look like a science experiment. The floors are always wet because the water goes everywhere except down the drain... I took it upon myself to put new shower curtains in, but the cleaning man took them down. They were very expensive nice shower curtains. Broken windows theory is what's going on at this gym. The man cleaning the bathrooms seems to like them as dirty as possible, when improvements are routinely discarded then no one is going to respect the property and keep things clean. This is the second gym in flagstaff that I have had a membership at, and thus far I have enjoyed my time at this gym. I really value having space to do my own thing and not feel over crowded. If you come during busy hours you do get a lot of younger people and those are the hours I tend to avoid but during the slower hours you get a more diverse crowd which for me is so much better. I live out of town and having showers available is definitely a bonus as well as being able to do yoga at the same place. Over all it's a decent place and I would recommend trying it out. read more

New manager is on point!! She is always making sure cleanliness is at top notch quality and actually gets out on the floor to talk with the members. Restrooms are always clean as well as the water station. I enjoy working out here and people seem to be really happy working out at this location. Natala takes pride in her gym and it shows with yoga, personal trainers, ordering the right equipment and more. The girl at the front desk acted like she did not know what she was doing and kept calling someone on the phone for help. Later I called for a price quote and the girl answered thinking I was someone she was trying to call. When asking a question she said that she was busy signing someone up and would call me in 5 minutes. She took my name and number. After a few hours she had still not called. This gym is below average and will take your money. I was at a point where I was wanting a gym membership but not sure if this was the gym for me. I went in and they said they were having a deal where I would get 3 months free if I signed up for a year. Cool. So I clarified upon signing that I would only be signed to a contract for a year as I was only going to be living at my place for a year. She said yes. I signed all was good. Well 12 months go by and I went in to make sure my membership would be canceled and and I wouldn't be charged anymore. Then she tells me I have a contract for 3 more months. I'm sorry what. I explained to her Umm no, that's not how that works. She insisted I signed a contract for that long and I said no I didn't. I told her I was canceling my membership because I moved. Well nope not allowed to cancel. She insisted that she "wasn't allowed" to cancel my membership because it wasn't policy and that I had to continue. So they charged me not only for FOUR MORE MONTHS, but then they charged me for a "maintenance fee" so they could "keep the gym in tip top shape" lies. Recently moved to Flagstaff and wanted to try out some gym's in the area. This gym gave a bad vibe immediately. The door is locked so to get in and talk to somebody I had to wait for someone to exit. Once I was in, the receptionist (who is located through a window in the back) was very cold and not helpful. After explaining to her that I didn't think to bring my Flagstaff lease agreement to the gym, she just started talking to someone else and ignored me entirely.
