I have been training at HAPT since February, and I've lost 7% body fat in that time period...a better result than any other gym/personal training I've done in the past, and trust me, I've tried them all. The reason HAPT works is a combination of not having to create my own routine (ergo, getting stuck in a rut), fabulously motivational trainers, monthly accountability at check-ins, and ever-changing workouts that keep me from getting bored with my workouts. Although HAPT is a group training facility, with others working out at the same time, I still am receiving personal, one-on-one training. I never feel like it's "group" training at all, except for the camaraderie and support I get from having the others training at the same time. If I were working out alone with a trainer, I don't think I'd try as hard as I do now (oh wait, I DIDN'T try as hard when I worked out alone with a trainer before!). I know that when I show up at HAPT, I'll be greeted warmly and the trainers always make sure to ask if I have any issues before we start. They're attentive to aches, pains, and sprains! I also do their Spinning program, and love it. Just like the workouts, there are monthly assessments and you can see your fitness level getting better. I use HAPT for their spinning classes!! Their instructors are awesome and the class is so much fun. I tried spinning at the other gym I belong to and it was night and day comparison experience. I never thought I would like spinning but it turns out I love it and it's due to this place. They have a high tech environment, where each individual gets their own heart rate monitor setup specifically for them (age, weight, gender etc..) and a monitor that allows you to get in the correct heart rate zone based on the spinning program. As I mentioned the instructors are awesome and really make the class fun and easy to follow. The classes are a good size, 15 bikes, so you get to know your fellow spinners and it just makes it a great place to work out! read more

I love coming here! The time passes so quickly because they've already planned a series of individual exercises specifically for me that keep me moving and engaged. As someone with several orthopedic issues, I appreciate their attention to my capabilities and what I can do without experiencing pain. In less than 2 months, I am stronger all over, my endurance is much better, I have lost weight, and my motivation hasn't flagged once. In fact, I may upgrade my plan to come more often. Because everyone is doing different things, I'm not comparing myself to others, which can be demotivating. Oh, did I mention the wonderful, friendly and encouraging trainers? I have been going to HAPT for the last seven years. I lead a very busy life like many of us and having personal training appointments on my calendar helps me get my exercise and focus on maintaining and bulilding my strenght which is critical as I get older. I LOVE HAPT! I have been training during the summer for the past 5 years, and I can't tell you how happy I am with HAPT. All the trainers are awesome and are truly geared toward YOUR fitness goals. I play a lot of golf tournaments, so it is important that my training schedule and intensity, coincide with my golf schedule. I have been a member for a year and half and have loved every single workout! All of the trainers are very knowledgable and genuinely care about your health and well being. They ask at the beginning of every workout how you're feeling and if they need to make adjustments they do. Having your workouts prescheduled helps you to stick to it!
