The absolute worst!! my 15-year-old son started a membership. Has been trying to cancel it over the phone and online for months with no luck because they want to force you to come in. So we stopped paying it, but they keep charging a membership fee each month, with late fees yet, he cannot use the membership because there's a balance AND he can't cancel it while there's a balance. The worst scam I've heard of. Stay away, not to mention the gym is the size of a living room. What a joke. read more

Pros outweigh the cons for sure. I love that I always see the employees cleaning things here, and I have only seen a couple of machines that were out of service for a short time. We come mid-morning and there is always plenty of equipment available. Not sure about the complaints against the manager. If I could give 0 stars I would. The manager at this gym is absolutely horrible. I came to him to make a complaint about a group of women (Amy) making up rumors about me and talking about my personal information with other members. In that whole conversation he never asked me their names because he is friends with thes people. He already knew what was going on but lied and claimed he never heard of these people. All he kept saying was that doesn't sound like a gym and What are you going to do to change the situation. I was floored by his condensing tone. I canceled my membership to get a email of termination due to policy violation. I wish that surprised me but I didn't due to the manager being completely unfit for that job. I literally only ended up here because the ramp from 101 to 10 East was completely blocked and I ended up heading west as well as everyone else. Everyone was getting off at all of the exits so I decided to just keep going and go to the Planet Fitness in Goodyear. Easy to find as it's right off 303 in a shopping center. You walk in and the ceilings are high! Definitely makes it feel a lot less tight. Locker rooms were good and they seem to have everything they need. Best of all, the stretching area was huge! That is really important to me. I go to the one in Avondale mostly and the stretching area, while bigger than some of the other ones in Southwest Phoenix, is still a bit tight when there's a lot of people there. This one was much bigger and I appreciated that. The free weights were all in a good place and they had another row of benches so more people could be lifting at the same time. That was very helpful! Everything else was pretty good. The PF 360 machines were over in the corner on the other side but still ample enough space to get everything done. I really like that none of their televisions were showing national news, the kind that definitely get people all riled up. If I could think of any downfall it would be that the sun definitely is coming into the place from the west and it can get a little hot near that window. I would definitely return if I end up getting pushed out to Goodyear again read more

Was starting to feel a bit prejudice especially after he allowed my (white) mom to go do whatever she wanted on her friends GUEST PASS. But someone (me) who had just signed up for the premium membership wasn't allowed to use the premium benefits....? Not sure if it's just plain racism (I am biracial) or someone's on their high horse. But I cannot support a business (where people should be friendly, inviting & motivating!! Especially when it's their first time in the facility) that allows this kind of rudeness. Until CHRIS is no longer apart of this company I cannot spend my hard earned money here. Already hard enough getting to the gym & he just completely ruined my experience & has left a bad taste in my mouth. I had remembered seeing this location when I was out shopping a while back and decided to come check it out this morning. It's a great location with access to the freest nearby so even if you don't live as close it feels a bit faster to and from. Parking area is large and no problems there. Staff was friendly and I appreciated that. The location was clean and plenty of space to work out. My workout went off without a hitch and was able to use the massage bed before I left which is always a plus for me. read more

I really like this gym and the staff is great BUT I can't give them 5 stars because the have the heat on high daily in the mornings. I get it's cold out but come on, those working out are dying!!!!! You guys have been awesome for 5 years with you until today when this manager Christ Joslyn approached was outrightly outrageous, unpleasant, rude, and needs to be checked before demeriting the good name of the facility. Asking him what he meant by saying we have attitude. he threatened to cancel our membership and called a cop to chase us out of the premises which he did. I was embarrassed, nobody ever treated us like this before. I am using this medium to call upon the management to correct this awful behavior because this manager is certainly not good for customer service. This is a beautiful new facility with all new gym equipment. This gym is huge with many choices of workout machines and weight machines with some free weights if you choose. During the peak of the summer, this gym is always cool inside. With two monster fans that circulate the air. The staff is friendly and keep this gym immaculate. Even the locker room smells fresh. The manager, Britany, has a very well trained and friendly staff. They have a bank of large TV screens that span the entire gym. The gym equipment is state of the art with headphone jacks and USB ports for convenience. I left a much smaller gym 1/5 the size and twice the price to join this facility. It's great for the community and I am looking forward to them opening a gym near me in Buckeye early next year. read more

The staff is always friendly and the gym is always clean. However, the tanning beds need a little more maintenance at this location. Often times there will be a bed down which leaves just one open for use... The other issue is the bulbs are often burnt out and making a loud zapping noises (only at this location). I personally feel that if that service is offered it should be kept up and in compliance. read more

I currently go here as a member and I typically don't have an issue until there are people who dont wipe down the equipment after use REALLY should get in from for that given that COVID STILL EXISTS!! Nobody wants to get sick from careless individuals not cleaning up after them. A grown man can't teach his son an example. The woman who hog the machines while being on their phone is annoying. The gym is not a hangout spot for you and your friends to put on a facade that they're working out when in reality they were just sitting or standing on the machines. read more

They all refused me bcoz of one branch membership, but they allow guest that time I went there. But still refused. I beg them just one workout but still did not allow me. I'll make it quick, I've never been spoken to as disrespectfully and rude as I just was from the manager, new manager I should say, of the planet fitness on cotton here in Goodyear Arizona. If you will look back with my name, phone number or even email address, you will see that I wrote planet fitness with nothing less than exuberant and joyful words with the previous general manager. She always went above and beyond for me and my wife or anyone for that matter that needed her time and attention. Cruella, Priscilla, or however you say whatever name she said really really fast and I mean no disrespect in saying the wrong name, rather I'm trying to infuse just a bit of a laugh because I'm not accustomed to writing anything negative, however, I felt this was more than necessary to be blasted out for the world to hear/read. I have to assume, without a shadow of a doubt, that the planet fitness culture is not one where you do not take care of the customer in any form or fashion. My wife and I had gone there realistically since it opened with a large break during Covid and another one recently since I've been traveling for work. All of that being said I have to believe that the place is cleaned and that the other members of the team have customer service skills and could likely do this manager's job with one arm tied behind their back and blindfolded. read more

I only signed up to this gym due to my gym being closed for 3 months for repairs due to a bad monsoon. At first I enjoyed this gym, very clean friendly staff. As soon as the new year started it was over crowded, messy, machines constantly out of service. I mean you get what you pay for, but come on it is like every other day something is broken. The staff that were there when I started out were always so nice and had a smile when I walked in, now they hired a couple new people who suck. Never smile, never say hi, always have an attitude. They don't even look at you while scanning you in. Customer service is a big thing for me and it sucks when the gym is already some what crappy, and then you have people who work there hating their life. I will be switching gyms in the summer. Not so sure I would recommend this facility to anyone. read more

Showers SUCK!! My routine is to work out, then shower and go to work, I don't want to have to go all the way home between and I shouldn't have to. There is NEVER any hot water and every time a toilet flushes the water Almost stops running completely. Some snotty girl from the front rudely shamed me for tracking water on the floor in front of the shower, but they are the only location I've been to that doesn't have floor mats! She said, they've been ordered... like that's my fault. They don't even have a soap shelf, you have to put your soap on the floor. Worst PF location ever. Switching to the Avondale location. Much happier there. It's MUCH nicer. read more

The facility is nice, generally enough equipment to go around, unless really busy. The big fans are going as slow as they can, so the air gets stagnant. They can, for some reason get local sports stations, even after asking counter staff repeatedly. We always get the same response for any request, "We can't adjust the tv's or fans, we'll make a note for the manager." Which never gets followed up on. Usually the paying customer has a say. It's just poorly managed, only complaint. read more

I really like the planet fitness franchise. This gym just opened in April 2018. It still has that new car smell! The staff is friendly and so are the other gym peeps. It is brightly lit and has its own parking area away from the other stores. But... it is tiny. I have been to 5 locations and this one is the smallest I have been to. This was a great gym because it was close to the house and is pretty good about being clean. Unfortunately I signed up with the wrong representative because I went in to cancel my membership and I was told I had a contract A CONTRACT. Not only was I lied to about no strings attached, or no hassle to cancel my member ship but I was never even told I would have a contract otherwise I would've never signed up. Please ask as many questions when coming to this gym as they may scam you as well into a contract you will not be able to get out of without a penalty fee. read more

Wed June 20th, I had an appointment to meet with a trainer at 7PM to create my own program. Upon entering the building prior to my appointment, I was told to sit and wait for the trainer. My friend who is also a member and was registered for the class waited with me. At 10 after 7 PM, it looked like the trainer was still going to be busy for awhile. My friend let the people at the desk know we were going to be on the equipment. The trainer left and went to a different class that wasn't even on the schedule. The person behind the counter never told him we were waiting for him. We were disregarded and told to sign up for the class on a different day. Someone could have called us or made an announcement to find out if anyone else was there for the Build Your Own Class. read more
