The main issue is the deterioration of benefits without any change in the premium price point. Ever since Equinox decided to leave the partnership with Kiehl's and focus its expansion on the California network, the benefits of the gym have not improved; in fact, they've noticeably deteriorated. While the facility is still attractive, the value proposition has plummeted. I finally made the switch and decided to seek better value elsewhere. The high price no longer justifies the reduced perks and benefits offered at this location.

The overall layout of the gym didn't make much sense to me either. The racks are upstairs and the leg extension and hamstring curl machines are downstairs. More importantly, I was dealing with serious health issues like diabetes and fatty liver, and thanks to D1's structured training and my improved diet, those conditions are now under control. What I love most is how the coaches know me, my limits, my restrictions, and when to push or hold back. It feels like personalized training even though it's a group class. The class sizes are small, and the coaches are always attentive. Workouts are never the same, so it keeps things interesting and challenging. Most days, my hour at D1 is the highlight of my day. I had questions regarding options and changes to my membership and the manager Frances Frierson gave me a song and a dance "we'll get back to you". I waited several days, then went again in person and still could not get answers. Based on their their lack of caring regarding a member who still was looking to keep a membership, I decided to cancel instead-- why should I be loyal when they obviously didn't appreciate my long time membership and recommendation for them?
