Most of the workers there have a terrible attitude. The only nice and professional ones are the two male trainers. My daughter's class is run by female teenagers. All, but one are rude and inexperienced. They half ass teaching the class. They cut you off when you are waiting to go up or down the stairs. They don't greet you, even if you greet them. There are also some extremely rude parents/grandparents who have no issues with making comments about other families and their children. This place as a whole is very toxic. The place is also falling apart and expensive! I recommend finding elsewhere. read more

LOVE LOVEE ELITE! Both of my kids have attended Elite and both have always enjoyed there time there. My now 16 year old did gymnastics up until she was 13 and till this day uses the skills and techniques she learned at this facility. My son who is 5 does Ninja Zone and Swimming. Ninja Zone is great, learning to use upper and lower body strength at such a young age is awesome. The instructors here make learning new skills and techniques fun! read more

If you want your child to have fun, build confidence and learn new skills this is the place for you. This is the epitome of a mom and pop run business where "everybody knows your name" True story: I grew up going here as well as my entire family. This was 30 years ago. When I had my own kids and moved back to the area we tried another gymnastics place, but my son was young and this place was very strict and unforgiving for kids who didn't want to do exactly as told. So I came back to Elite and I'm glad I did!! When I saw the owner, Mike, and told him who I was he remembered everyone in my family by name and the town we grew up in. I couldn't believe it!!! The teachers will not break your child's spirit down. They are kind and yes some of them are young, but I have never felt that my kids were ever endangered. We have been coming here for the past 4 years now and my kids have done swim (awesome small classes), ninja and gymnastics. As far as one person's complaint on the fees, first if all its $35. For a family who takes multiple kids here multiple times a week this one time fee is far better than tacking it on to every class. It makes the classes more affordable! If this place purely wanted profits they would charge for their Friday open gym like other places do. And I can't speak for the other bad complaints. But I will say Amber no longer works there and last year had serious, serious health issues that she didn't openly talk about. Sometimes people are miserable when they are in a lot of discomfort. She was always lovely to my kids at open gym. I do NOT receive anything for writing this review. But I don't think a couple of bad apples should represent a business that is run by a hard working family that takes every complaint very personally. read more

Attitude of the employees is horrible. Rushed you out of room for a private party. In the employees words, "I don't get paid to eat and watch you here". Then proceeded while all of the kids parents were there to lock the door and bad mouth all of the guests. None of which had done anything wrong. She wanted to go home and since she couldn't she didn't why she could to kick everyone into of the room Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, where you money, dignity and day that is dedicated to your child is appreciated. My son did swimming classes last year. He definitely improved in swimming. This Year hes doing ninja zone. And he loves it!

We looked a number of places before joining this one for our daughter. I want to caution people that many of these gyms require a fee for "joining". I'm not a fan of this. That's because gyms go in and out of business all the time. Being that I have many clients in the gym business I know from them that this is just a pure profit add on. They are just looking to make more money for nothing. Don't jack people! When I asked the manager at the front desk about their fee which I think was $55 she said it was for insurance. It would make sense that they would build that into the price of the class like any other business. Her response was the owner is "very old school" and doesn't change his mind easily. When I asked to talk to him her response was she is his gatekeeper to keep all the vendors away. I was inquiring about taking to him about working with my company. I'm literally handing her my credit card and she wants me to write an email that goes to her and if he's interested he will get back to me. Yeah ok. I don't need to beg anyone to work with my company. A closed mind and firm response from his gatekeeper is not the kind of business owner I'm going to do any work for any price. We signed up because the place has been here for 40 years and chances are they aren't taking our fee and closing in a month or two which I've seen many times. The facilities badly needs updating. It's old. It looks every bit of the 40 years it's open and this is the 2nd location. They used to be across the street. The mats and equipment look to be in good shape, a nice mix of people, the staff is kind to the kids and they are reasonably priced even with the ridiculous annual fee. Yes, I can't stand it! I'm giving them 3 stars because you can see the owner is not investing in his own business/ building which he owns, the complete brush back I received and being told how closed minded he is. The basic formula is spend as little as you have to in order to keep the business going while charging annual fees for "insurance". Whatever you do don't talk to a customer who might actually help you become more profitable so you can invest in rehabbing the place. The kids will have a good time, the other parents are nice, it's reasonably priced and the staff working with the children are good. You can take your kids their and feel safe about it just don't expect them to be open to any suggestions or particularly inviting. Hence-3 Stars read more

I felt it is very impersonal. Didn't have my child's name on listing his first day. Very uncomfortable for parents. Waiting area uncomfortable. Crowded. The woman at the front desk left a bad taste in my mouth. Every time would ask a question I felt I was bothering her. Almost a forced niceness. My children enjoy the sessions. I brought them here because my son outgrew the little gym. No comparison when it comes to personalization and friendliness. Elite needs to update the gym and make a decent waiting area for families. Took my son to a Ninjazone class here. The teacher, Amber, shouldn't have a job working with children. She seemed miserable and all she did was yell at my son to listen. Meanwhile, it was only the first day of class and was very excited and eager to play on the equipment and do the obstacle course. She wasn't enthusiastic or welcoming at all. Then, not even 5 minutes into the class, the lady from the front desk (I believe her name is Jackie) started observing and assisting with the class. All that this woman did was yell at my son to listen and threatened him that if he didn't listen, she was going to bring him upstairs to me. So, the lady from the front desk loses her patience and winds up bringing him up to me and looked at me flabbergasted and said "your son doesn't know how to listen" in front of all the other parents and caregivers there. This was literally not even 5 minutes into class AND, It was the first day!!!!! And he only just turned 4 years old! I asked if she would give him another few minutes and as soon as he got back downstairs and ran towards the trampoline (where the other classmate was), she literally started dragging him by the feet! I was so upset and mortified and both of us literally left in tears. It's a shame because my son was sooooo excited to do this class. These people do not know how to be patient or accommodating of children. What a negative experience for both of us!!! Will never go back or recommend. Now I have to get my money back! I also had to explain to my sobbing son why we had to leave the class he was so excited to start. read more

We left ENA in Paramus and we can honestly say it was a GREAT move! While ENA was ok, the classes are too big and never did we feel as if the trainers really took time to "work with them." My daughter, who is 8, absolutely loves Amber and how she truly works on a personal level with each of the kids. Also, The class is also smaller which gives them time to work closely with the students. Sure, there can be some upgrades to the facility but we're not looking for a county club, rather a place where our girls can get the most out of their sessions. Thanks Elite!!!! Communication is horrible. The owner does not return your calls. Staff says one thing different from the other. Honestly if u want more members listen to them, & take notes and pass them a long. Zero Stars is not an option...I had a wonderful experience here with my children a few years ago. Gymnastics and the Mommy and Me swimming classes were fantastic. So great that I recommended a friend. Her daughter is battling an illness and just wanted to have fun. 1 week ago, they decided to sign up for a class after participating in a trial class weeks before. To my surprise, they were treated with hostility, disrespect, and poor customer service. Maybe it was the language barrier, maybe it was the child's eagerness to attend the class, maybe the woman at the front desk was having a bad day however; under no circumstances should a CUSTOMER and a CHILD be subjected to having an older adult scream at them all while hitting a ruler on the table!!! I am shocked and appalled that such "service" was given. If you cannot show EVERYONE respect, you need to find a different position. One that doesn't require you to interact with people. I have referred many children to your facilities but going forward, I'll be sure to send them somewhere else. This child just wanted a moment without needles and pain. She just wanted to have fun. Your front desk person has put fear in this child and now she has lost that sparkle in her heart for gymnastics. She's still afraid to join any program for fear that she will be hit with a ruler!!! REALLY?! A place for kids to have fun turned out to be the place that put fear in them. Do Better! read more

My son has been attending swim classes here for about a year now..yes, this is an older school but its clean. I love that the swimming pool area is very private. Our swim teacher Mr. Mike is patient, very professional and sweet. We look forward to our class every week. read more

We have been going to Elite for years, first with my kids and now with our grandkids. We have only had experience with their preschool program, but can say that the kids love it! It is rewarding to see them improve each week. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have already, and will continue to, recommend Elite to other families. read more
