Today May 10, 2026 A member waited patiently at the counter for over 5 minutes for assistance. This isnt the first time this has happened. It has happened with me as I needed to pay for a drink. I had to write a note to charge ny card. Please invest in a bell so that us members dont have to wait as long as we do for assistance. This is my home gym and I love this gym. The gym always smells like weed. The bathrooms always smell like poop. The paper towel dispensers never work. The new manager cares more about the customers footwear then keeping the gym clean and actual fitness. She didn't seem to care about slamming weights, people singing loudly, or the overall smell of the place. Golds gym never smelled that bad. read more

Since the summer staff left the gym has gone downhill. All equipment is dusty, on, around, under, nasty and hot in there. The staff at desk does nothing but lay on the desk or take their phone and sit in the bathroom on phone. Not a representative of a gym! Clean it up or we are changing our membership elsewhere. read more

TVs not on, music very low and couldn't be heard in parts of the gym. Most of the tvs on treadmills don't work and don't come on. Half the equipment broke, missing something, covered in dust/hair or just plain stinks because no one is cleaning it. Carabiners missing from some pulleys. Handles for pulley systems mismatched. Bathrooms not clean. Empty paper towel dispensers in cleaning stations. The two employees today weren't doing anything the whole time we were there. This was on Sunday between 10am -12pm. read more

My wife and I have been members of Planet Fitness since December 2018, we researched other gyms and chose PF because of the simplicity of membership and the overall atmosphere also the receptionist that signed us up greeted us as we entered the facility and asked how she may help us, we went on an orientation for the equipment, workout stations, massage center also we were briefed on the personal trainer schedule. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. What's amazing is that we are still attending four times a week for over the pass three months... Every first Monday of the month is "free pizza" all day and every first Tuesday of the month "free bagel" No Critics! Joining PF has been a good experience. Very unwelcoming. Went in expressing interest and was asked to sign a "release waiver" for a tour. Trouble is, they wanted name, address, phone number, email... just to walk around? I agreed to signing a waiver but not the intrusive data collection and was told they could not talk to me. Seem fishy to anyone else? I've been going to this gym since just before the covid breakout in 2020 when the world was ending lol. I enjoy the gym I dont have alot of gym in my past so I dont have much to compare it to but I like it .staff is nice ,bathrooms got fixed,people are nice at the gym.i have been going 5 days a week but I got in car accident last Thursday and I broke 8 ribs my collar bone and sternum and dislocated my shoulder.i almost didnt make it I coundt breathe for a minute after the accident and passed out.i think if I wasnt in the shape I was in things may have been way worse.im on the mend and jooe one day I'll be able to get back to the gym it has changed my life in alot of good ways .I'm happier,more confidence,sometimes I get shocked at who looks back at me in the mirror.its taken me almost 3 years to look at myself in new light and I credit planet fitness and that sacrifice of one hour a day 5 days a week to change my life. read more

I just joined this gym last night. I was a member of Crunch in Cali, yet moving to this area I had to make adjustments & found this gym is open!!! Did a quick self-tour & really liked what I saw. It was very clean, equipment looks well maintained & there were about 10 Ppl using the gym when I visited (after 9pm). I'm usually a late night gym goer; however I'm goin to adjust my days/hours to days before I start work. So we will see how many Ppl will be in the gym - hopefully not too many. I was referred by an enthusiastic friend. I decided to go by and see what the hype was about. I'm glad I did! The first thing that grabs your attention is these words plastered on the walls "Home of The Judgment Free Zone". This means that no one will ever feel "Gymtimidated by Lunky behavior and that everyone should feel at ease in the gym". How cool is that? The clerk begins to speak of the classes they offer (Intro to Free Weights, Design Your Own Program, Intro to Cables and much more). The next thing she tells me is that they offer a hydroponic bed! I immediately said I wanted to become a member. It was weeks later after doing nothing but enjoying the bed before I decided to speak with a weight trainer and design my own weight program. The trainer and the equipment have made my daily workout dummy proof. The circuit training speaks for itself. I'm hooked on the 12 minute abdominal circuit station. I found it odd that there is a bucket of tootsie rolls at the front counter. I finally remembered to ask the trainer. He said that it helps for those of us who over work and sugar drops and some people like the small treat. You have to come in and try the hydroponic beds and massage chairs! read more

This place is so much fun. I am new member at "Planet Fitness" I am really enjoying this place. It covers all of my physical activity needs. This gym offers me options that I have never received from my past gym memberships. For instance I will usually skip working abs. PF has that covered with the twelve minute ab room. They have a room with only abdominal equipment. Move from one machine to the next according to the red light-green light. In twelve minutes you have hit all your ab muscles. How come none of the other gyms thought about this? I have never seen a gym that has as many treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, or stair climbers. If they add a few more sanitizing spray bottles/stations in the 12 min ab and 30 min total workout room, this place will get a 5 star vote from me. read more

I went to this particular planet fitness near my house for a workout as I entered the locker room for a bathroom break I noticed there were no facilities there was no sign on the main door saying restroom service for men was not available I asked an employee for a restroom I was told to go outside in front of the building to portable bathrooms I was shocked of anyone could walk into the portable bathrooms and did it prove to be true urine a was all over the place in both portable bathrooms they were filled with waste the portable hand cleaning station had nothing in it there was only one I was totally disgusted what a shameful uncaring way to treat your customers Planet Fitness read more

I'm not a member of Planet Fitness, but I decided to tag along with a friend one day. She's a member and she has the ability to bring along a guest. I feel so special that she chose me. Lol! The facility is great. I really love the colors and the whole "judgement" free thing. The staff was nice. But I found it odd that the gym had pizza nights and left tons of candy at the front counter for everyone. I guess it's a way to make sure they see you again. Maybe it's for the food or may to burn it off. Overall, I would switch but I'm in a contract to a gym I barely visit myself. Oh and I've heard some great things about these massage chairs they have. I have been coming to this gym for a few months now but before this location I has never been to a Planet Fitness. Around 6am every morning, this location is clean and pretty quite. The person that operates the check-in has always been nice (especially considering how early she has to be there to greet the blurry-eyed masses!). I've never taken them up on the free bagels, pizza or tootsie rolls that they offer every so often but they are there. Overall, I have been, and hope to continue, enjoying my Planet Fitness experience. read more

I had called a month or two back and asked if it was mask free in order to get the maximum oxygen required to work out and I was told masks were optional. I went last week to join and hire a Trainer as well and now masks are a requirement. So I understand now that the ultimate health of everyone is definitely not a priority with them and they have given in to corporate and government medical tyranny. The real science proves masks are harmful to ones health and offer no protection. When you go to buy a mask it will even tell you this..Don't fall for it! read more

Just went in to join Planet Fitness on Bobby Jones, Augusta Ga. It is seldom I have met a front desk person as unfriendly and unaccommodating as Ryan. He acted as if he didn't want to be there, and probably shouldn't be. Never smiled. Monotone. Poor or no personality . I walked in asking to join at 0840 July 3. He turned me off so much thinking about going to join Gold's . Will call and speak to a manager when they get in. He denies that a supervisor was present at this time. read more

First of all, I am really disappointed that I have to leave a negative review, because it is a nice facility and I was excited to be a member here. Every time I went in, they scanned my keycard, and informed me there was something wrong with my account. They never figured it out and it turns out I have been getting double charged due to them setting me up with TWO active accounts. I didn't even notice until the TWO annual fees of $39 hit my bank account and caused me to overdraft on the second charge. I am a very understanding and forgiving person, however NEITHER manager I spoke with even apologized to me. now I have a negative bank account and have to go 8-10 days waiting on the money to be refunded (keep in mind the money they give back is going in the hole cause it wont include over draft fees, I have to separately work with my bank to get those back) Thanks PF! read more

Went to visit yesterday on a friend pass (I was able to workout for free with her). Place looks great and isn't stuffy to workout in. I don't have any specific details as I just jogged on the treadmill and did some light weights. It's functional with a great atmosphere. This one is open 24/7. Don't know anything about the sign up process as I am currently a member at a different gym; however, I will be switching here once my membership is up for renewal. I was told when I signed up at this location that it was a no commitment and no contract. Now they are saying that the memberships are not no commitment and that I have a 12 month contract. At the same time that the assistant manager is telling me that the 19.99 black card membership is always a contract membership the young woman next to her is telling a prospective member that the 19.99 black card was a no commitment. Do not ever give them your business. It is literally impossible to cancel your membership without physically coming in. You can go out YOUR way to send a certified letter instead of an online form LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD! Even if you cancel your card somehow they find a way to get it from your bank account. I've made sure to express absolutely delight and much praise as I can appreciate when business owner make such the effort that you do in staying on top of what is happening under their watch. I chose to leave PF on Bobby Jones. This rating is based on my current experiences and unfortunately I came to actually dread walking in a place that has represented health and well being for me for the first 3 out of the last 4 years of my membership Most often...6 days a week. It is still kept spotless and continues to look like brand new however, when you've begun to "dread" walking through the doors then it's probably best not to just quit as I did but to reach out to the owners as you seem to genuinely be concerned about the opinions expressed in the reviews. So I'm reaching out and rather than list the details I would like to pay you the respect of keeping it at a level where it could be discussed privately and then handled in the matter you see fit. Though I can't express that this situation is one common among others as I've witnessed if it is accepted even for one then it is one too many and as a business owner myself I would hate to think that someone made the choice to keep quiet and just walk away as opposed to bringing it to my attention.
