My two star rating is specifically based on my experience with the staff and not on the location or the machines or membership. I just made an account here and I brought my guest who is my teenaged niece. The female employee with curly hair named Iris told me that I was not allowed to bring her in if I was not accompanying her on the machines. She was extremely rude, not knowledgeable, and had an attitude, as well as gave us a look as if we didn't know anything. From what I read on the rules as long as I was an accompanied adult inside the premises to where I am able to view my niece I do not need to be exactly next to her on the machines. We then proceeded to speak to the manager and he confirmed this and allowed my niece in. It was a very troubling and unpleasant experience upon our first time at this gym. read more

How do you work out when it's too cold to go run and you sleep past your very early spinning class? Well if you're a member of a chain gym you pull up the app and find the nearest location? Thus I ended up at this location (instead of my usual Hialeah Gardens location). As far as buildout, it seems to have a larger cardio area in comparison to strength training. It's one of their newer locations in the area - it's basically an interior remodel of an old pharmacy so it seemed a little smaller. There are 4 of the tv screens that play continuous nonstop loops of TV Infomercials over and over and over again for Deformed Children Operation Smile, age spot removing lotion and Direct TV The facility and its operator have given no thought to the customer experience of being a cardio machine user who is forced to stare at these looped infomercial channels day and night. The one for the children with cleft palates is sad but also quite alarming and upsetting to watch for hours at a time. Staff has never given it a thought. None of the other Miami PF have this only the 8 ave location where they are oblivious to things like this. read more

I read some of the reviews and decided to leave one because it's really not that serious!!!! my biggest issue with this gym is the other gym goers delaying the workout process by sitting on machines and scrolling on their phones in between reps for 20 minutes without doing anything. The staff is lackluster, nothing like the LA Fitness attentiveness and mannerism but I personally don't think that matters, we are there to workout. I also don't use the app to check in and they have never given me an issue when they finally stop talking among themselves and check me in. The new kid checked me swiftly :) read more

There are a LOT of treadmills at this location. Only downside is a lot of the equipment is older or very basic compared to other locations I've visited. However you can still get a good workout here. Everything is very organized & clean. Staff is friendly & they have parking!! (A + in this area). For a Sunday after 2 the place was basically empty (maybe because of Superbowl?). This has to be the most unethical environment to work out at it when your experience should be a pleasant one; for starters, all due to sharing the clip for the cables in one of the machines, my friend and I were approached by two employees followed by assistant manager Darlyn who rudely attempts to explain that we couldn't due to their sorry excuse of people stealing the clips (not even due to social distancing). If this is the case they need a better strategy! Secondly, customer service was not taken into consideration lacking a better explanation for the matter.. we asked for the information of who was above her so we can simply inform our concern when Darlyn refused to provide us with the information. After a minor and respectful disagreement, she then threatens my membership telling me to stop in the front on my way out. When i ask why, she said to cancel my membership. As far as i am concerned, she has no right to do this. What assistant manager doesn't go out of their way to comfort a customer but instead retaliate and lose money for their franchise? I have a few other friends who have had an issue with Darlyn in prior circumstances as well and it is apparent she in not in the position to have any authority whatsoever. I rate this gym a NEGATIVE! I live in Brickell my water in my apartment is not working at the moment, so I only brought a gym membership to Shower remind you I bought the gym membership to where I can bring a guest so I can bring My boyfriend so we can be able to go in and shower as well Long story short I went in the gym first to go take a shower and my boyfriend seat in the car to wait for me and when I came out to the car, I let him know that he can go inside to take a shower and then the staff members inside gave us a huge problem, I was trying to walk out. He was trying to grab me and stop me I was scared saying I have to be there for him to take a shower which makes no sense. Mind you we've been showering there for almost 2 weeks prior to him saying anything I really felt like it was because he saw me come in with my boyfriend and he was the same guy making sexual passes at me. I have been to the gym for about ten times already, and I like it. It is the closest to my place; I see there are empty parking spots almost all the times I go there. The people working there are helpful and respectful, the place looks clean, the changing rooms are well-maintained, and the equipment is good too. It's not a big gym, so that it might get crowded, or you might need to wait to use the equipment, but I guess that is normal for Miami as many people go to the gym. I have used another Planet Fitness in NYC, and it was almost empty every time I went, so here you will see many people. During the pandemic, I think they try to follow the cleaning procedures, everyone is wearing a mask from the employees, and they have cleaning sections with disinfectants and tissues. If you are on a budget or that's the closest place to you, I highly recommend using this gym. I pay $10 a month which is a good price and I don't expect much of it. read more

I was in Miami from NY to go on a cruise. We had time to kill before we could get on the ship so we decided to workout. Since this location was close to our hotel we took a Lyft there. My god this was absolutely the messiest Planet Fitness we have ever been to. Dumbbells and plates were EVERYWHERE the entire floor was a land mine. No on returns their equipment and If they do it's not in the right spot. I travel a lot for work an PF gives me options wherever I am. I have been to over 30 different Planet Fitnesses and this by far is the worst. Make your members put away their weights or kick them out. Never again read more

Gym is very clean. The only thing I would add is a sauna! Gym staff is amazingly helpful and the equipment is always cleaned.

Steer clear from this gym as common courtesy is not welcomed at this Planet Fitness. As per the assistant manager, Ashley: "My personal preference is not to share equipment so if someone just wants to sit at a machine and not let you work in with them, it's perfectly OK. It's their choice." Planet Fitness has limited machines, equipment and space in their Little Havana location. (Except for cardio equipment, they have a good amount of that.) I went with a friend to the gym today and he asked a woman if he could work in with her on the leg press machine. She said no, that she only works out alone. When he asked again to please let him work out in between her sets she said no. He stood next to her while she sat on the machine, completely idle fumbling through her phone for 3-4 minutes at a time. It was a little infuriating just to watch her sit there. Instead of confronting the customer, my friend did the right thing and asked the manager at the front desk to please talk to the woman and explain to her the common courtesy that any good gym calls for to allow other members to work in with them. After having spoken to her (assuming she did) The manager (or assistant) manager, Ashley came back only to tell him that the lady did not have to share the equipment and that "she gets her because she never shares any equipment herself." I think Ashley and this customer need to train at a private gym, just for them. Ashley isn't mistaken, the women did not have to allow my friend to work in with her, but a good manager and a great gym would teach their patrons courteous gym protocol - especially when the gym is small to begin with and equipment is very, very limited and even more so during peak hours. This happened at 5:30pm. Certainly this isn't the end of the world by any means, but it's too bad this gym doesn't promote a courteous and friendly environment. read more

Horrible gym experience even considering the reputation that Planet Fitness has. They changed their hours a while back from 24 hours to 9pm on the weekends. There's never enough free- weights. The bathrooms are full of fungus. The staff are as rude as possible. They janitor and attendants scream at the customers as the clock approaches 9pm to scram out of the gym. This gym serves its purpose. It's size is small but it does have ample machines and weights available for people. Cleanliness - I always see staff members walking around wiping down machines and continuously cleaning floors AND bathrooms. Even the guests clean up after themselves so that's a big plus for me. Machines - are new and I've never had an issue with one breaking down or not working correctly. You can see the big tv while your one the machines and plug in your headphones... Low phone battery? You can also charge your phone while your running! Again the space is small but I've never had an issue with another guest hogging up the machine. Parking - Yes parking is free but the lot is usually packed (I go after 8 and there is hardly a parking spot available).There is also the option of metered parking in the area when the lot is full, but I'm uneasy on leaving my car down the street at night. Other guests - Sometimes you do get the occasional person that's just sitting in a machine texting not really doing nothing, but for the most part if I ask them to share the machine while they are doing their set the person always obliges. Employees stop at a disabled spot. I was accompanied by a disabled friend and I couldn't stop at the spot because a employee was stopping there and she isn't disabled. I complained, explained about the law and the lady said she didn't care. She didn't remove the car and even treated me bad asking if I was going to get into the gym or I would stay there complaining about disabled people rights. read more

I was not impressed with my experience at all. I was in town for one night and I was recommended this place. First of all they charged $20 for a day pass (almost the cost of a monthly membership), staff didn't even consider I was traveling in the area for military reasons. Second the staff, at least the young lady that was helping me, was completely inconsiderate. Very short with me while signing me up for my day pass and after completion she just left me standing there. This is my first visit to the location let alone a Planet Fitness. Had to ask for location of restroom and other facilities. Would not recommend this place for travelers. Rip off! Only giving two stars for the nice equipment. read more

just moved here from new orleans. i travel a lot for work and use planet fitness all over the country. so happy to call this location my new "home". the employees are always so kind. everything is always clean. i noticed some of the bulbs were out in the tanning beds and i brought it to a workers attention and they were changed in less than a week. i don't know who the manager is at this location but keep up the amazing work. 10/10 read more

I was trying to share the smith machine with another customer and I was approached very rudely by the AST. Manager, Darlyn, and was told I cannot share the cable clip with someone else. That is not what we are informed. I found it very unpleasing to have her approach me so abruptly. I think there has to be a better strategy in place for the use of the clips and I also suggest the assistant manager takes some customer service and English courses in order to expand her knowledge on how to communicate in a respectful way. read more

By far the worst gym I've been to. Very little options for both free weight, and machines. People will get on the machine and stay on their cellphones for like 25 minutes. I understand we're in a pandemic but everyone here cleans, and there is a clip limit for the whole gym. So if you're trying to use the cable machine you wouldn't be able to because people are using the ONLY two clips and wasting their time on the phone. Normally doesn't matter because a gym should have options but this one doesn't have any other options. It's horrible. read more

To any reasonable person, the annual fee gets charged after a year using the gym...annual means a year!
