I have been coming to planet fitness for 8-9 months now. I'm 62 and I just wanted to get back in shape. I was doing it on my own, watching what others were doing and emulating what they were doing. I got really stuck, and pretty much hit the wall. It was at this point I enlisted the help of the trainer (Sydni). Her motivation, enthusiasm,patience and professionalism took me to the next level. It's been about nine months since I started attending this location and I have enjoyed every single workout here! It is much larger than some of the others I have been to and, therefore, offers plenty of room to move around and a nice array of equipment options. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Bellair location has always been extremely clean and tidy (I see at least one employee cleaning almost every time I go). The equipment and machines are always in working order or are repaired in a timely manner from what I can tell. The vast majority of fellow gym goers are easy to be around and the environment certainly exudes the no-judgments vibe. Love this location! read more

Beware they are thieves. I turned my account off by canceling via their website 11/23. I made a Yelp review about the location I used soon after. Now it's April & they are still charging me. The "Bellair" location is my Home gym so I called and spoke with the assistant manager about this. I let her know I will dispute the charges if not refunded. She told me that she would call back, that was last week. As of tomorrow I will call them one more time before calling my bank. I'm done with this gym. They can't run a tanning bed right or cancel an account properly. If the cancellation on the site doesn't work, they should take it down. Stay away from this ripoff gym. read more

The place is clean but I think they should monitor the floor for the numerous people who ignore the wipe the equipment down after you had your funky _ _ s on there. The staff is nice and I enjoy working out there but you have to wipe down the equipment before and after. read more

I go Monday through Saturday and I workout for about 45 minutes to an hour, however there are two thongs I don't like 1) people sit on the machines on their cell phone, not working out 2) the music SUCKS! The positives are the staff is very nice and they have a room that if you upgrade your membership to "Black Card" status you can use the massage tables/chairs and they also have tanning booths, however, me being a black woman I have no need for them. read more

I don't understand what is up with the patrons at this location. I have never seen so many people who don't wipe down machines. I visit 3-5x per week and I see at least a handful of people at every single visit who could not care less. Just get up and walk away from a machine. Maybe it has something to do with the design of this location in that the front desk people can't really see what's happening on the floor. It's a shame because this is a really nice location, but the patrons are ruining it. Maybe if they saw employees walking around and enforcing the wipe down rules, then people wouldn't be so bold. Planet Fitness is not the same as before I've been a member since 2015. Their customer service is terrible and the workers are not engaging at all. All they do is sit on the countertop at checking and chat amongst each one another. The female worker and manager tonight has an attitude. I've been in a customer service for 10+ years. This is not the way to treat your customers who pays nearly almost $30 dollars for black card membership every month to workout. After check in the first thing I do is use the restroom before I start my workout. And I noticed it is filthy and dirty, no paper towels, paper towels are full up in bills, etc. So; I highly recommend to save time and money by staying away from any Planet Fitness as possible. Poor customer service, lazy workers, all you'll get is attitude, etc. I may consider changing my gym and will close my membership with this business soon. As this gym, is not the greatest but I've held all this in got many years and enough is enough. The workers need to be re-train to have better customer service and good work ethics. read more

Travelers, RV's, and Vanlifers don't go here. This community and staff will likely treat you badly. I was parked outside with my dog for 30 minutes before I went in. In that time staff knocked on my door twice. The first time was to check on the the dogs which was understandable considering I was in the back of my van. I explained they would not be alone in there and I would be coming in to use the gym shortly. They returned and told me I was loitering and the dogs weren't allowed to be in the van alone. It is unclear if staff or an random woman called the police, but they showed up. They drove uninterested off without even talking to us. The whole experience left me hurt and upset. If you're any kind of traveler, weekend warrior, or just someone with dogs go somewhere you will be treated with respect. read more

As a blind man, going to any gym is a challenge. Can't imagine what a Godsend PF. "was". Now after the "re-equip" ita an overcrowded, disorganized, poorly lit disaster. What once were clear aisles is now a maze of tripping hazards and obstacles. The "new" equipment is mismatched, rickety, refurbished crap. Already breaking. Best of all is the burning tire smell from the weights coated in used rubber. Disgusting. And yes I ve made my concerns clear to PF, I got sympathy from mgmt and completely ignored by corporate. Planet Fitness locations all offer the same thing, what sets them apart is customer service. I've twice been told I would no longer be allowed to check in unless I use the app. My phone doesn't support the technology. The younger staff doesn't understand this and this most recent occurrence was enough for me to change gyms. I hope the young lady sees this and takes away something from it. This is addressed to you: I have never seen somebody work so hard to talk themselves out of a job. It would be very easy for every service in the building to be scan based. That means no check for you. I realize you had to get up from your position of sitting on the counter to perform the task for which you are paid. If that is problematic for you, maybe you should try a less demanding career. Whether you steal it, or run it out the door, losing your employer money isn't a good way to stay employed. Even if you don't care about this job, you should consider building the people skills and character to serve you the rest of your life. read more

Canceled my membership for a second time won't be back...like to do the circuit right when they open...always creepy guys in the circuit area just using one machine does a set then roams around the circuit area then does another set and roams so you are unable to do the circuit in order as he leaves all his stuff on the machine he is using...the sign that said the area is monitored is a joke at 4 in the morning no one ever leaves the desk area...plenty of other places to go... read more

This is my favorite Planet Fitness! It is HUGE which I love about a gym. The staff is always cleaning whether it is in the bathrooms, lobby, equipment, or restocking. This gym always feels clean and I don't feel gross. There is plenty of machines and workout equipment. I love the stretching and ab area. It is big and spacious. read more

I joined Planet Fitness at the beginning of the year. I was going to the one at 3rd & Bell Rd, but decided to give this location a try when it opened. Glad I did! It's really nice inside. Everything is new of course. It's laid out nicely. The massage beds and tanning booth area is very spacious. There is some new equipment that isn't at the other location, but overall very similar. Its true what they say about this fitness center. POOR customer service. Nobody was ever at the front desk when i needed coins for a massage. I have called the desk while i was in front of it many times to try and reach a staff member. Surprise, surprise...nobody answered. I wasted my money on the extra incentive to get the massages. Since i had the worst experience i have EVER had with a gym...i cancelled 4 months ago via their contact page and NEVER got a call back. They charged me $39 in cleaning fee (which is a joke since the treadmills are always dusty). When i walked in the gym to inquire about this the manager, Bo didnt even greet me when i first walked in. I also got no smile. When i asked him if he had documentation that i tried to reach out, he replied condescendingly, "why would i have that?". Worst planet fitness in the country. My partner and I have been traveling long term with our pups and we're horribly mistreated by the staff and other members from this gym. We had a tough morning and my partner wanted to go to the gym to cool off for a bit while I worked in the back of our converted van with insulation and fans (and the ability to turn the AC on if necessary) and stayed with the pups. I noticed some people staring into the van while I was taking work calls which is fairly normal, people are curious. However less than 15 minutes later two staff members who looked all puffed up like they were cosplaying bouncers at the worlds worst bar came and stared into our van and shook their heads and knocked on the door. My partner let them know he was taking a break (after working for hours in the desert to change the battery in our van) but would be heading in shortly and that our pups were supervised and being kept cool, but thanked them for the concern. They seemed to accept that as a response and walked away but low and behold another not quite 15 minutes go by and they knock on the door and told us we needed to leave. My partner let them know we came here so he could use the gym and they questioned whether he was a member or not which was incredible rude and classist for people with no degree making $11/hr. read more

Gym is overall nice clean looking gym! Was excited to show my daughter the gym atmosphere to get her motivated to possibly coming! Blond lady at the front just such a snobby attitude about me bringing my daughter!!!! Because my daughter just turned 13 and forgot she is not 12!! Let me tell you what makes a difference in this one. The managment Knows How to Hire Exeptional Staff. Period. Never ever I felt as at home as at this place. They listen, they suggest as they would to a best friend. They Always will greet you with a Geniune smile and will address any concern geniunly too. Things need to be fixed in any business. I go almost everyday after work and every time I walk in it smells brand new (almost like brand new shoes- omg they need to make a scent like that) I am a huge sucker for brand new smell. It relaxes me right away and the staff are always smiling and friendly. Even at it's busy times, I get my run and workout in close to on time with out hitch. Just have to plane around sometimes if someone is using the machine you need. I love the tanning and hydro massage. One of the cleanest gyms by far. AND no one has hit on me yet- SCORE! read more

VERY UPSET WITH THIS CLUB ! I have been a member here since it opened, and try to see the good in it, but am so frustrated, I've been checking out other gyms. Instead of making things better, they seem to test the limits of their members. In just the past 2 weeks, they transferred out the best Club Manager ever, canceled the membership of my 70 year old workout buddy, and today I had to leave in the middle of my workout because they turned off the overhead fans at 9am. I understand maintenance has to be done, but shouldn't that be done at night? Why do they go out of their way to piss off their members? VERY UPSET ~looking for a new gym. We have 2 gyms that are opening up in our area. My Wife just joined one of them. ~~~~~UPDATE~~~~~ Along with 18 other Family & Friends, we have canceled our PF membership and have joined another club with better facilities and better machines for the same price. So far, so good!!!! I really like this gym!! Super affordable and they offer quite a bit of extras (tanning, massage chairs, perks). They've got a variety of equipment to mix things up too. I like the separate area for stretching and core. Not too many looky-loos here like other gyms either. My only thing is that i wish they had classes but that's ok. The employees are super nice and helpful which is always a plus because gyms can be intimidating. I'm glad I joined!!! read more

Buyer beware. I went in to cancel my membership in May 2018. Recently looked at a bank statement to find they're still deducting membership from my checking account. Despite activity on my account indicative of cancellation, manager Charlie won't refund my $90. On the bright side, I get (have) to go into the gym to cancel (again). Response below is laughable. Went in and canceled again today and had to ask for a printed copy of the cancelation document. They don't give you a document by default and then ask for you for a document to prove you canceled. This appears to be a strategy employed to steal from clients who move on. Also will not provide you with info required to appeal to regional management, with the weak argument that his cell number is personal information. read more
