I put a hold on my account and every month I still get charged. Told to come in everytime to get it fixed. Go in and it never gets fixed and never gives me my money back. I call and a gentleman answers the phone very kind voice, but as I am frustrated as you can hear in my voice over the phone. Anyone can relate getting charged while the account is on hold. Gentlemen says on the phone "yup your account is frozen". BUT YET I AM GETTING CHARGED.. The gentleman can't hold back, and says in the nicest way possible I am staying calm on my end and all I hear on your end is Arghhh. Which I never yelled, but I did have a frustrated tone. As I told him it's not your fault I am just frustrated. Thinking and saying are two different things. Train your people. Not everyone is smiling when they call you guys for help. Moved to the North Racine area a few months back & haven't gone here often. After each time I go in I leave saying "oh, that is why I don't come here." Easily the smallest Planet Fitness I have ever been in. It is quite a tight space for being in the mall. I honestly don't care about it being tight b/c of COVID, but it just doesn't allow for ease of working out without bumping into people. Now that I am going back into work & this is only Planet Fitness to go to, there is no way I am keeping my membership. read more

This gym's policies caused them to lose a lot of their good members, me being the latest. The gym, and the mall it's in, is filled with lunatics that don't know how to wear their mask right. Even worse, after I had cancelled my membership, I went into the locker room to wash my hands because I forgot my hand sanitizer, and their was a guy with his mask completely off. Plus, the hand sanitizer is this disgustingly smelly gel that makes your hands smell like garbage, and not a spray type like at Six Flags Great America. And on top of that, I've seen a lot of members failing to clean their equipment before and after use. I'm glad my mom, who is a senior, had me cancel my membership. If this Planet Fitness location can't enforce COVID-19 guidelines and have people wear their mask correctly with it covering both their nose and mouth, and not just their mouth, people are going to catch the virus. Seriously, though! If you're gonna run a gym in the middle of a pandemic, you gotta start taking COVID-19 guidelines seriously. Otherwise, shut down your gym, and do NOT operate it until members are willing to comply. Maybe add hidden cameras that can't be seen by the naked eye, so you can see what's going on in there, and terminate all the memberships of those bad members who refuse to take this seriously. Overall, I must say I'm disappointed in this gym's ability to enforce COVID-19 restrictions on its guests. They can't even do anything right to stem the spread of the virus. I will NOT be going back until the pandemic is over, and in the meantime, I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone. read more

This is my new gym! I'm already in love with the layout of the gym, the awesome locker room, the massage chairs and the amazing staff. Whoever does the email marketing for the company and manages their social media is a nice addition to my membership. Replying to my workouts on Instagram is motivating! First off I want to say I was amazed at how clean the place was! There where some paper on the floor when I got into the locker room but that's cause there where a lot of people in there and not taking care of there things but that's not on the staff. By the time I was done working out the paper was gone. There where two guys that where in there (staff) and I was amazed at there tag team approach to getting the bathroom clean. The did an amazing job! None of the equipment was broken! Some foam rollers would be nice but other than that ... wow! Looking forward to coming back again! read more

During my workout today several lockers were broken into, and belongings stolen. In my case my wallet with several credit cards, my drivers license, etc. Turns out this has happened multiple times recently. Carlos, the so called 'manager' was arrogant and unconcerned. When I asked for the name of someone higher up in management he refused to provide it. By the time I got home there was an email with a cancellation notice from him, for a 'policy violation'. Apparently his little fiefdom doesn't answer to anyone above him in the management ladder. No next steps, no plan to address a repeated issue with his facility, just a slap in the face for being a loyal customer. read more

I love this gym, but I had to quit because since reopening, they changed from being open 24 hours to closing at 9. I do shift work so I need a 24 hour gym in a convenient location. The staff couldn't tell me if it is a permanent change. read more

Absolute WORST customer service! If there was a rating lower than 1 star they would deserve it. They are pushy, won't answer questions straight and are not at all service oriented. It's unfortunate that people working with a service to the public are like that. read more

I've been a member since they opened in Racine and have found joy in going there for my workouts. However, during this pandemic, I have felt unsafe because of the crowded spaces in the weights section. I appreciate that the place is kept sanitized by workers and that they are always wearing masks, but up until the state mandate passed- members were not required to. So basically, I was the only one working out with a mask. It wasn't the most comfortable thing to do, but I felt it was the least I could do. Yet, I didn't feel I could go back after trying to continue with my visits. Many of the members were socializing and gathering in the weight area without regard for others. Now PF is required to ask patrons to wear a mask EXCEPT when actively working out. WHAT??? How is that making things better? People-- NO ONE enjoys wearing a mask, but if we want to be safe and keep things going, let's just do what's asked. I want to let others know if this situation in case they are leary of exposure to others. read more

Planet Fitness is a great place to workout! They truly mean it when they say "judgement free zone." You see people of all ages in the gym, and everybody just does their own thing! Usually when I go after work, around 5:30 PM it is a little bit busier, but I have never had to wait on any equipment! I do sometimes have to wait on tanning, but the tanning beds are so nice I almost always want to wait! The staff is always very friendly, and always says hello to me when I walk in! Couldn't ask for a better place to try and lose some weight before summer! read more

Avoid at all costs! For one, this location entered into an agreement with Xperience Fitness in Racine to purchase their members' contracts when it closed with NO notification for the Xperience members until they started to get billed. Secondly, I had to freeze my service because of the pandemic. I wanted to cancel outright, but they would not allow me to cancel without appearing in-person, so I accepted the conditions of the freeze, which they allowed me to do by phone. I called February 17 to extend my freeze, which they had allowed me to do by phone in the past, but then told me that their policies changed (again, unbeknownst to members like me) and freezes needed to be done in person. I traveled to the location, 11 miles each way, on my lunch break on February 17, and then they charged me that same day for a month of service that I never got. I had to call and email the store several times, and though the associates agreed with my plight, the managers refused to issue me a refund. If you value your money, do not go to Planet Fitness; it was fine at one point, but now they nickel and dime their members and do not communicate with them important policy changes that will ultimately affect your account. read more
