What a great club. Worith the wait indeed. For $22.99 I have the black card and can bring a friend. Massage chairs, red light therapy booth, free lockers and free personal training classes with a 5 person max. They have a 30 minute circuit for a good speed workout and all of the cardio and free weights you could want. There is even an Abs section. They have a great locker room with showers, so I will be coming here before work. They are open and staffed 24/7 (check holiday hours) The membership includes tanning also. Stop by and tour if your in Riverview. They have no contract and a lessor cost membership too. read more

I've been going to planet fitness from 8 to 10 months and what I can tell you is that this planet fitness is one of the cleanest gyms on this side of the town . Mike, Hunter and Andrea all have been working here for some time. They're very nice. They greet you in the morning and it's also a good vibe if you need to ask them any questions. My only complaint is that some of the equipment that some of the other gyms in the area have planet fitness does not have, but if you do not want to be in large crowds, it's awesome read more

Club manager harassed me for giving them a less than stellar review on an email survey i received after visiting their location several times. My reasoning? Dirty bathrooms, empty hand sanitizer dispensers, outdated equipment that is poorly maintained, as well as cardio machines that seemingly remained permanently out of order. Additionally, the fountain water tastes awful. I suppose you get what you pay for... Go to Crunch instead. read more

The gym is a great place to work out but the manager MIKE is a DICK. If I'm not mistaken Carlos was the Manager before and he was excellent. The presents and the energy of MIKE makes you not even wanting to workout at this gym. He's not attentive to the customers and he'll look at you and then look right through you do something else. I was a little nervous leaving another large gym to join PF but it was a great decision. The staff is great and Ciarra always greets us with a smile. They walk around several times and wipe machines down and make sure the spray bottles never run out of cleaning solution. And the waterbeds, massage chairs and total body machine!!!! They have decent equipment, but not enough of it. There's no time limits on the 4 smith machines, so you could wait FOREVER for a machine. Not a great gym for a consistent workout. You will have to compromise your training. At least in the mornings. Would avoid unless you already have a membership. read more

Zero stars. Mike the manager is terrible. Gym always crowded. Worst cancelation policy. Riverview was my home gym. I now live elsewhere. I mailed in a letter to cancel my membership which they apparently never received. I was then charged the annual $40 fee again. When I noticed I had been charged I immediately called to inform them I had previously mailed in a cancellation which they either didn't receive or overlooked. We're in 2024 yet you cannot cancel over the phone, email, or in the app. I ended up having to have a family member take the time out of their day to bring a letter up there for me. I was 1-2 days late on canceling my membership to get a refund for my annual fee. Mike said he would be the one that could waive the fee but he refused saying "if we did this for everyone then blah blah". I'm sure they've lost business after being in the news lately. 1-2 days late AND had previously mailed in a letter. 4 years paying monthly for the Blackcard service and they refuse to refund me a $40 annual fee. LARRY F I am a gym member of Riverview Planet Fitness and have been for the last 5 months.I am also a gym member of 24 Hour Fitness ( do not attend now) Since I have been going to Riverview PF and getting to know the tremendous and very friendly staff members. Katie, Kimberly, Alexa, Carlos gym manager and the rest of the staff, ( who I have not met yet) I am amazed at how hospital clean the staff keeps and constantly cleans and sanitizers all the equipment, and upkeep of the equipment sanitizing stations. I absolutely love the Riverview location. The facility is clean and in working order, and the staff (especially Ciarra) is so so friendly. She is always working when I go in in the morning. I am completely and utterly impressed with the Planet Fitness Riverview location. I was greeted by incredibly friendly staff members. Carlos and Kevin really stood out. Both were extremely informative helpful and made my work out experience exceptional. Kevin was even kind enough to come over and help me during my workout session. My husband passed away and I notified the club with a death certificate. Fir nine months billing continued. I was told to talk the third party billing co who sent me back to the club who sent me back to billing. Finally, after nine months, manager Mike said he would cancel as of today. I asked him for reimbursement since the member had died. He refused. I was shocked that he didn't express sympathy. No "I'm sorry for your loss!" I told him I thought it was unfair to get billed for nine months after death and expressed my disbelief in his lack of sympathy not just for me but a paying member of his club. He said he didn't have to express sympathy. He remained silent. I told him I was very cordial to him in seeking a resolution and his disrespect to the dead was unacceptable. He did not care. He told me I had called regarding cancellation and he only had to deal with that and he wasn't going to do anything more. I asked him who he reported to and the number for headquarters. He told me he didn't have to provide that and hung up. Anyone thinking about becoming a member here needs to know what the manager thinks of his members and his lack of respect and little concern for customer service. His response was shameful! Planet Fitness should be ashamed of themselves!!! They should have reimbursed the monthly membership money they stole from a member who clearly couldn't use the club if he died but to not express sympathy is just downright disgraceful! I posted and then deleted a post after they said they were not going to charge me, but as they went ahead and charged doing it again. Avoid this location as they are deceptive. When I joined the first time, it was supposed to be join for a dollar, but then they charged me 23 on the 17th of that month. Then, when I canceled, they claimed that I would have to cancel by 7 days before charge to avoid a new charge.. which as an accountant I know is not true. They said it was explained in a link that was not explicitly known, which is a con. Join another gym that does not rely on deceptive practices. read more

I can't count how many issues I've had with billing here. It took months for them to fix a previous billing issue so I didn't have to keep paying in store, just for them to try and charge my bank account MULTIPLE times! I called their financial company to see what was going on and they apologized and told me they would be waving my club fee for the month. Went in a few days later, tanned no issues. Then the next time they said I owed them money even after I confirmed with them & asked if everything was up to date with my account! Also the high school kids that work upfront need retraining. I'm sick of having to call upfront every time I tan because they don't know how to start a bed. read more

This is the worst planet fitness ,rude manager "Carlos " you ask him to enforce company policy on mask . Then you inform him it's been several times at this location they allow anyone to walk around doing what ever they feel .Do your job "the promise "by the corporation and protect every single customer that walk in to use the gym ! ,we should all do our part to fight against covid . Then you ask Carlos manager to speak to the owner he refuses to give you a number . Then he tells me he will review the tapes ilater ! good equipment, great staff, & clean. only complaint are the numerous creepy men that will continuously attempt to talk to you and/or flirt while working out, leaving, or entering the premises, even walk up to your car when departing. if you're a woman who attends/plans to visit this gym, please be aware of your surroundings. read more

Poor management. I've been a PF member for 3 years. The Riverview facility is not my home gym, but it is the worst PF I have ever traveled to regarding management. I asked if I could purchase a packet of tanning lotion. The manager tried to sell me bottles, which made sense, it is more cost effective. I told him I already had a bottle, but simply forgot it, he reiterated he does not sell sample packets, and did so through a "bargaining" speech. So, I moved on and came back at the end of my workout to tan, and the woman behind the counter asked if I had eye protection, I said yes, and she asked to show her. It felt so invasive that she asked! I understand we need eye protection, but dang! The manager got involved and they tried to bargain with me again to get me to buy eye protection. I've never left a PF feeling so personally invaded upon. Were they trying to get my money or make sure I was safe, I'm not sure? Their collective snarky attitudes lead em to believe it is simply about control. I was peaceful, stayed quiet (after all it's not the end of the world) then I left, but I felt confused so uncomfortable. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. DENIED ACCESS EVEN AFTER SIGNING IN WITH MY PLANET FITNESS APP. I'm a traveling working professional that goes to the gym after work to destress. Never have I been to a planet fitness that treated me and my guest like high risk criminals. PERHAPS IF I WOULDVE KEPT ON MY SUIT, THINGS WOULD HAVE TURNED OUT DIFFERENTLY. While in the middle of my bike circuit, a front desk attendant approached me and stated she couldnt let me workout because there was nothing in the system that said planet fitness was actively receiving funds for my membership. Shocked especially since I'd been there 2 days prior with no issues, I asked the attendant if I could finish my bike circuit and then go to the front. She surprisingly replied with a "NO" and that "I NEEDED to come up to the front desk right away." Trying to finish my circuit and be understanding to her concern, I opened my bank account app and showed the auto draft of the membership fees. I thought that it would be enough proof to atleast allow me to finish the rest of my 10 minute bike circuit. I was asked again to immediately get off the bike. I asked the attendant why would my app work if I didn't have a membership, she replied "that it was a system error and that I would have to come to the front. " Afraid of being drug off the machine, I quickly got off and walked to the front. At the front desk, I was told that they couldn't find me by name nor by phone number with a valid membership and for that reason, me and my guest couldn't workout. Never have I ever!! Not once did any one of the three attendants apology for the inconvenience while trying to sort through the matter or even suggest the one day guest pass to allow us to finish our workout. We were denied access even after supplying proof of payment. PAYING CUSTOMERS BEWARE AT RIVERVIEW PLANET FITNESS. Infruated and embarrassed about the entire incident, on my drive home I decided to call a different planet fitness (planet fitness twelve oaks). I supplied them with my first and last name (the same information I gave to planet fitness riverview staff) and within minutes they were able to confirm that I had an active membership. The Assistant Manger Lauren, went above and beyond. She is the only reason why I am not cancelling my membership with planet fitness all together. read more
