I really love the central location of this PF. They have tons of parking and it's usually not super busy when I go. On my recent visit the staff wasn't very personable, but they were available if needed. The equipment is generally kept pretty clean and in good upkeep. read more

I've been a member of planet fitness for about two years. I struggle with whether I should keep my membership but the price point is their saving grace. Covid has changed many things including their hours of operation. They are no longer 24/7 but "24/5" as they say. I really dislike that on weekends they close at 7 p.m. Weekends are the best time to hit the gym late at night because it's rarely crowded. I've noticed the cleaning has improved. Often times I see workers wiping down machines and walking the floor for trash. It seems masked are no longer enforced as I never really see anyone, staff included wearing masks. Social distancing doesn't really happen anymore, the signs that were placed on machines are now gone so people are free to use any & all machines. Cleaning stations are available throughout the gym as well as hand sanitizer. You can now use the app to check in which is a plus. read more

I joined because it was right next door to my residence but it has been a real disappointment. It is a beautiful facility and it is a shame it is so poorly run. They have homeless people living g out front that they refuse to address and one of them heckles the women members. He finally left after enough complaints. I was showering there when I was on that side of town. I canceled my membership when the manager accused me of leaving bloody maxi pads in The toilet when I am almost sixty years old. I really like this gym. I go in the early afternoon and there's not a crowd at that time. I have some things I do at home but I joined because when I had knee replacement surgery I didn't think I would be able to use my home equipment. I mostly use the cable machines but over time I've worked in some of the others. I'm older and just trying to hold my own. I used to be somewhat of a gym rat when I was younger but there are a lot of exercises I can't do because of injuries. I was surprised that over time I've been able to increase resistance more than I expected. I almost feel like a gym rat again. read more

Planet Fitness has everything you need to get in your workout. They also have different plan options. So you can choose what is best for you you. The classic plan option is only $10 a month! It's very affordable. You get access to the gym and classes. They have every machine you could ever need. Along with many sets of weights. Certain rooms are set up specifically to work quadrants of your body. This can make your gym experience easier. The gym is always kept clean. And has large bathrooms with multiple stalls, showers, lockers, and counter space. Planet Fitness has taken COVID precautions. You use your app to scan in upon entering the gym. So it is contact free. Masks are required in the gym. Social distancing is enforced at all of the machines. Staff cleans periodically through the day. You will find cleaner and paper towels places strategically around the gym to clean the machine before and after you use it. read more

We're visiting members since our "home" location is on Ogeechee Rd. This wasn't the best experience. It felt very cramped which sucks with the social distancing necessities. Handles were falling off machines, emptying paper towel dispensers, full trash cans and not the friendliest of staff. They really need to do some upkeep on squeaky machines and maybe say something to guests when they enter and leave, or I maybe I'm spoiled my my home planet fitness. read more

First and foremost, this place is a PIGSTUY! Went to go take a shower, and the same mess that was there last week, IS STILL THERE, they NEVER clean the showers! If you go at certain times, it seems like the club more than a gym! This is distinctly the Eisenhower/Waters location, there's a particular Planet Fitness worker there (night time worker) who is meannnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, he scoffs at me everytime he sees me, and he's unbelievably corny! Reporting him to management as we speak, he makes the whole mediocre experience there, even gayer! I heard him yelling at his phone one time in the lockerroom for 30 minutes straight, he sets a bad tone for the overall gyming experience, some of the PLANET FITNESS workers don't even need to be there, they're on the couch texting most of the time, he's ONE OF THEM! Other than that, the parking lot is always full, with vehicles of displaced homeless people who go there to shower, not an issue, but some linger around, and you can tell they're not in their right state of mind, but if you get the $10.00 deal, the equipment there is reliable! read more

My fiancee has the black card membership where you can use the hydro massage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds, gym and whatever else they have to offer. It's a pretty good deal, however their advertisement says they can bring one guest with unlimited privileges, but apparently that's not true, the guest can only use the gym so there is actually LIMITED privileges. False advertisement is really upsetting so she cancelled the membership. Im not sure what kind of gym has bowls full of Tootsie rolls at the desk and has pizza parties, but that is what this gym has to offer, which makes absolutely not sense. Oh, and you can't look intimidating and have muscles because you might offend somebody....at the GYM. I wish I was making all of this stuff up. A lot of there machines were out of order too. On the bright side, it is pretty cheap for the amount of privileges you get. My fiancee said it was cheaper for her to have the gym membership and use their tanning beds than it was to actually get a tanning membership at a tanning salon, so I guess if you are an avid Tanner and are easily offended this is the gym for you! The gym is like the bank in a sense you can only get out what you put in. This this gym updated with the latest and greatest versions of workout equipment, nope. Unlike the other Planet Fitness this one hasn't been updated so they lose a star and a half just based upon that fact alone. However the staff is helpful if you need them the equipment is clean and not falling apart. Usually unless you come after 5pm on certain days you won't have a problem getting on your favorite machine/machines. Is this the best Planet Fitness again nope but I've been to others in different states and this one is half bad when compared to those. read more

Why does everyone just want to complain? I was hesitant to use my black card membership here because of all the negative reviews but I really liked this Planet Fitness location. This Planet Fitness is clean and the staff were friendly when I interacted with them. I don't expect them to try to become besties, I'm not sure what everyone else is expecting. There is plenty of cardio machines and workout gear, I went on a Saturday around 5 pm and it was fairly empty. The cardio machines have their own TV. The locker room was spacious with enough room for multiple people to get ready at once if needed. The black membership card equipment worked fine too. read more

Do not sign any membership with this gym. I signed up for a membership and had to move out of state so I followed their instructions and spoke with them over the phone and they confirmed my membership would be canceled after I followed all instructions. 16 months later they were still billing me because somehow a duplicate account of mine was made. Ive tried calling mulitple times, I've came in person, have gotten assurances the refund was processing, but still no refund. I can not stress enough to avoid this place. This location is not the most convenient for me personally or I would totally have a membership. I live off East President street and my friend has the membership so I came and enjoyed a day with her. The staff was really friendly but not the most available if that makes sense. Guests aren't allowed to use the massager or the hydro massage but they allowed me to try it which was super kind of them. The gym is really clean and well taken care of. There is a ton of equipment and when I came it was not busy at all. The bathroom was huge with showers dressing rooms etc Overall of the location was more convenient for ME, I would join this gym. read more

Lara at the front desk was great but Stephen or Steve the manager is a real bad person rude and stares at you like you're a criminal. I was waiting for an issue and today I had one. I like the option of becoming a Black Card member to avoid having to lock into a contract. I was able to cancel my membership without issue when I had to leave the state. I always brought a guest with me and they had the same benefits that I did (access to massage beds/chairs etc.) The equipment was always clean and the employees were friendly. I recommend going at night if you don't want to exercise in a crowd. I always went after 8:30PM as that's the time the gym is pretty much empty. read more

Do NOT believe the ads for Planet Fitness. They sell the 'benefit' of 'free' fitness training...but they have no trainers at my club and it's the only one I'm allowed to use. Try something...call the club near you and ask if they have a trainer there today. Ask if they have any fitness classes. Or call to talk about becoming a member and see if they mention those benefits. They say 'free fitness classes' but there are none. They say 'cancel anytime' but they can still charge you after you cancel. I had been a 4- year member until Nov 16, 2021in Boynton Beach, FL. There was rarely a 'fitness trainer' there during that time and none for nearly 2 years now. Fitness classes haven't been held since pre-Covid, yet they continue to advertise those 'benefits'. The ads say 'cancel anytime, no obligation.' Not true! I canceled IN PERSON at my home club 11/16 as required, was refunded the annual charge of $46 I had been hit with the week before. ( they don't advertise that there's an annual fee in addition to the monthly one..except in tiny print that's on screen for a couple secondsI Then I found a $10 monthly fee charged to me the day AFTER I canceled. I asked to have that be refunded and was told that I didn't cancel early enough in the month. The assistant manager refused to refund the $10, the 'customer service' rep refused, and I'm left feeling ripped off. read more

Planet fitness does the job . Its cheap , their equipment is maintained and for the most part the gym is clean except for the bathrooms sometimes. My only complaint is that they have signs clearly posted to wear masks but so many members blatantly ignore it and the staff don't enforce the mask requirement. read more

I've been trying to cancel my membership for two months and am in a remote location in the Sierra Nevada of California. I have no cell phone reception and when I get to a town, I call. I get some mile a minute talking female millennial that says I need to talk to the manager and the manager is never available, never calls back and I have paid two months under these conditions. When I was a member in Savannah, the noise was incredible, jackass pop music mostly. I am a man of culture and refinement and this was an impossible situation for me. What happened to culture, the usurpation of manners and service can be seen here -- over the phone. I dare say that not one service person is over 20. That's fine except I want human, not Millennial Narcissists that can't even speak properly. If you want a humane experience, don't go to Planet Fitness Eisenhower. Most employees are nice and don't care about the planet fitness anti fitness propaganda. However, one of the I'm assuming managers (he wasn't wearing the traditional PF uniform) was not so nice. He told me I'm not allowed to have a gallon jug in PF, it's much better to dehydrate and constantly walk back and forth to the water fountain that isn't purified. I drink almost the whole gallon as I get thirsty during my workouts, the idea of banning gallon jugs is ridiculous and just another attempt by PF to ban daily gym goers to make their gym less crowded. read more

The gym is fine in regards to equipment, cleanliness, staff, etc. The one major issue I have is the loud pop music blaring at all times. 90% of gym goers listen to music through their earbuds. In order to do so one must increase the volume to a point which is detrimental to auditory health. The music at this Planet Fitness is far too loud. No wonder Planet Fitness can charge such a low membership fee. Because they are selling your personal information. Just read the contract you sign when joining. Frankly its disturbing! OK now around the same time that you became a member of this chain that has a mission that reads "Whether you're a first-time gym user or a veteran member, we're here to provide a workout environment in which anyone - and everyone - can be comfortable.". Planet fitness fills like they need to boost revenues to satisfy investors and keep money rolling in, they decide to sell all there members data to several health insurance providers. So while they are smiling all the way to the bank with there hefty payload, you on the other hand are not so comfortable. You are getting denied health insurance over and over again. And you have no clue why. Until reading the fine print of what PT collects and sells and come to find out your bio metric information collected deem you a high risk through the eyes of the health insurance carriers. This location is really nice and appears more upscale than your average PF. There were televisions everywhere including the urinals . It appeared well kept and staffed. I didn't encounter any employees besides when my card was scanned, but the same one spoke as I left. I will use this location again and don't understand its the low overall score on here. read more

This is one of the biggest and nicest Planet Fitness's I have been to. I wouldn't typically chose to be a member of a PF as I enjoy a gym with more free weights, but the gym options in Savannah are limited. However, for some reason, one of the people who works at the front desk seems to have a one-track-mind regarding fitness. For a place that prides itself on "no judgement," it's pretty bad when an employee approaches you about your exercise routine. As a two-time NANBF finalist, I pride myself on my knowledge and proven success of exercise methods. It was very disheartening and offensive when an employee approached me regarding my exercise choice. He was extremely judgemental and dismissive of anything I tried to tell him. Instead he said "I am not sure what your doing, or trying to do, but it would be nice if you just didn't." Other than that, this PF is great. I was appalled that when I inquired about a membership they wanted a routing number and account number. Umm, it's 2018 not 1980 guess what debit cards do work for a monthly auto bill pay. Upon first attending this gym, I have had very good customer service from Malik. He was always willing to help and he managed to correct or fix any negative experience or commentary. Jake was also very nice. However, you know how one person or one bad situation can turn a pretty decent experience entirely unsatisfactory. Well that is what happened. Here are my gripes with this gym: 1. Please do not have me to fill out a minor waiver when applying for membership because the minor waiver will be filled out again when I bring the minor in. 2. If children are not allowed in the gym, do not have signs plastered all over the gym that contradict the words spewing from your mouth, Brianna!!! The signs state, "Children under 13 cannot be unattended in the gym." However, Brianna states that the new policy is that children under 13 cannot come to the gym. By the way, my 10 year old niece has been coming to the gym with me for approximately 3 weeks now. She has been completing homework, not causing disruptions. Also when Brianna was informed of this, she came up with several excuses including having never seeing this or interacting with us prior to 8/20/19, this is a new policy (although not communicated in writing), and the blunt response of "Well, I'm telling you now!" (Now that was rude) 3. If a person cancels his/her membership, please place the correct reason. Instead Brianna gave the reason that I was not satisfied with the amenities, which I did not see until I received the emailed copy of the documents. The reason that two of us (myself and my sister) canceled our membership was because of her poor customer service skills. With this being said, I will be sure to find a gym that respects me entirely. read more

At approximately 7:56PM on 7/6/2017 at the Eisenhower Club in Savannah, GA, I ran into a dilemma, then had a negative customer service experience. I just finished a great workout. The atmosphere was wonderful, it was very clean, and there were plenty of machines available. So on my way to check out the ab section, I found a 10 dollar bill on the floor. My first instinct was to keep it, but then I considered it could be someone's last 10 dollars. I decided to take it to the front desk to see if they could announce it over the PA that if anyone lost something, please come to the front desk to pick it up. The employee who I joked with about being a Ghostbuster earlier because of his vacuum cleaner, which included a backpack, explained there was no PA. He was very friendly and referred me to whom I assume was the manager or owner after I politely refused to turn it over to lost and found. I am a bit of a cynic at times. I did not assume the employees were thieves. However, if it was my first instinct to keep it, it could have been their instinct to keep it if nobody claimed it. Honestly, I wanted to keep the 10 dollars. To make it very clear, to me, 10 dollars IS a substantial amount of money. I am a veteran of the US Army Infantry and attend school on the GI Bill. I am not broke or just scraping by, but my budget is tight. Ten dollars is enough to buy food for a day or put gas in my car for several days. I would guess many customers at Planet Fitness are in the same income bracket as I am. The owner/manager shows up. His demeanor is one of wanton hubris and the best way I can describe the look on his face was "eat crap and die". We spoke for a few seconds, a minute at most. After I reluctantly handed over the ten dollars, he said with great contempt, "I make enough money not to stuff ten dollars in my pocket" as he abruptly broke eye contact and walked away sealing the money in an envelope to put in the safe. Unlike this manager/owner, I DON'T make enough money not to stuff ten dollars in my pocket. I won't starve without it, but 10 dollars would make my life easier. His remark could have been reactionary to his false perception that I was judging the integrity of his staff. I was not. I was assuming they were like me, so if anything, I was empathizing by putting myself in their shoes, and yes, I can be a bit selfish at times. It is entirely possible the staff are of equal or higher moral integrity as well as not on a tight budget. In fact, it is possible they could all be big ballers like the condescending jerk who spoke down to me with his insanely snide remark. And before you go on to judge me like the owner or manager did, if you found ten dollars on the ground, what would you do? His hypothetical motives are irrelevant. This is the most ridiculously ironic customer service I have ever had, which is why I am devoting an hour of my life to writing and spreading this. If you have not heard their slogan, Planet Fitness claims to be the "judgement free zone". Yet, I was harshly judged for wanting to keep the money if nobody stepped up to claim it. When I found out my method of finding the true owner would not work (PA System, letting the customer identify what it is), I did the right thing and turned it over. I was not pressured to do so. When I first found it, I could have said nothing and kept it. I took the money to them to look out for my fellow patrons. He could have responded with a fake smile and, "Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we appreciate your concern for other customers". Instead, verbatim - "I make enough money not to stuff ten dollars in my pocket". I have worked in customer service for several years. Even if you want to strangle a customer, you act somewhat cordial towards them and suppress your desire to tell them what you really think if you want to keep your job. This behavior becomes ingrained after awhile to where it is a natural reflex to suppress emotion and judgment when a customer is being difficult (I was at the counter for two minutes, used one minute of his time, not being difficult by any stretch of the imagination). It is a highly valuable skill and kudos to all of you in customer service who have perfected it. Some managers or owners without customer service experience constantly take their learned composure under stressful situations for granted, as if all service employees are magically born with it. In toxic management, a double standard exists between owners and employees. Toxic owners and managers may be under the false impression they cannot lose their job, so they can say whatever they want, whenever they want, to whoever they want - even to customers who provide the revenue for their salary and bonuses. If this toxic bourgeois is representative of Planet Fitness's real attitude towards customers, the brand will soon be in jeopardy. If anything, the slogan for this gym should be , "The Judgement Zone". read more
