I've been coming to this location consistently since August 2022. Never had any issues, staff has always been respectful, except this one particular lady. Her name is Key. She is the manager of the location. Everyone loves to record their gym progress. I recently purchased a tripod to record content as I'm getting educated in the fitness industry and could possibly help someone trying to better themselves. Key comes up to me, saying you are not allowed to record in here. I said "alright" and continued my workout. If you go on Instagram, Planet fitness promotes making content and tagging them as it helps market Planet Fitness. About 45 minutes later, a gentleman approaches me as I just finished a set on dumbbell shrugs, stating I'm not allowed to "grunt" during my set and I'm being "obnoxiously loud". I said "Come on man, why you picking on me." He said you shouldn't be "breathing that loud" I forgot his name. There were other people around me, and I asked them was I being loud or disrespectful, they said no and that I was being completely normal. He calls the manager Key, and she tells me she heard me " in the men's locker room" and I need to leave. If you have been to this gym, the dumbbell racks are all the way on the other side of the gym from the men's locker room. There's no way I was that loud, it would require me to yell super loud for you to hear me in the men's locker room. You can hear in the video how "loud" | was being. I respectfully told her I am not leaving, you can call the police & we can make a report about this. If I was being loud, I would admit to it. I'm a sound minded guy, I know right from wrong. However, Key the manager has been given a little bit of authority and is abusing it. People view the gym as a safe space. As another home, to put in work and better yourself. She called the cops on me and got me criminally trespassed for being loud in the gym. I have video proof of how loud I was being. I did not know I could not breathe through my set. In the fitness industry, breathing is fundamental to make sure you pushing heavy weight properly & being able to control it. I was near the dumbbell area, and they said I was so loud that they could hear me from "inside the men's locker room", Key claims. When the cops came, she tried getting me banned from every planet fitness Even the cops were like, "Ma'am, we will not be able to do that." They understood my situation and were being super respectful. I am highly disappointed and not satisfied with the way I was being treated and the situation was uncalled for. If she is working, I recommend you go somewhere else. She makes the gym experience difficult as she will be breathing down your neck. I'd like to continue to go to this gym and have her removed from this location & get the criminal trespass repealed. read more

Visited the location: their floor plan is very clean and spacious with more updated equipment. However, upon taking a shower I discovered water turned lukewarm under 2min of it being on. I'm uncertain if that is the normals for this branch--will definitely wake you up! read more

As a customer and a former gym manager, I love this place. Lots of space and loads of equipment including two tricep press machines- they have two of my favourite machine y'all(!); few gyms have even one, far less two- and the best Smith/bench press machines in Stockbridge, Jonesboro or Riverdale. Most importantly though social distancing/masks are enforced, the gym is super clean and the staff are awesome. I'm always greeted, they're communicative, helpful and I get a goodbye the majority of the time- unless they're busy and even then I'll see a head nod out of the corner of my eye. So I come here periodically whenever I'm in town flew in for thanksgiving this time came to get a quick workout when I was basically sexually harassed by the females working on duty and I quote "you can't wear your tank top because I can see your nipple" even if it was a new dress code that I didn't know about her comment was unnecessary also she approached me out of no where and proceeded to be very rude while also telling me that I was being too loud ma'am you just ambushed me I was professional about it , stopped my workout to go to the locker room to get a hoodie that she made me go get or otherwise I was told I had to leave even though the first employee told me I could finish my workout with what I had on which was frustrating and confusing. I would also like to mention that they allowed me to workout for at least 30 minutes and came out of no where in the middle of my workout which is also weird. There was another male there with the same tank top on and they didn't say anything to him my final thoughts are that this gym is ghetto , unprofessional and targets people from out of town clearly I won't be back luckily I don't waste my money on this trash company anyways I use active and fit that allows me to go where I want thank god there was even other members in the locker room complaining about how rude the front desk is this location definitely needs to do better I'm actually open to speaking with the GM (pretty sure he/she doesn't support this behavior ) or something but i doubt they even read these this was really just to make anyone interested in training there to be aware If you're serious about your gym goals go elsewhere oh and I don't know any of their names but it was some boney chick with long ghetto weave and nails with another dark skinned girl who both ambushed me on the floor not being funny I just don't know their names so that's my best description lmao read more

Go to the Clayton County Recreation Center! Its the same price if not cheaper, has a pool, gym and child play area. Also the managers are not dishonest, unprofessional or prejudice. So here's the issue: The manager came up to me and told me I couldn't have my bag on the floor. I explained to him that I was pregnant and needed my medical bag with me just in case of emergency. He said he could hold the bag or I could use a fanny pack. I told him I could not wear a fanny pack because of my pregnant stomah and that I wanted to keep my medical supplies near me in case of an emergency.  He said I understand but to be fair to the other members I couldn't have my bag . I asked to cancel my membership he said "I understand" and walked away.  When I came to the front desk I asked him if I cancel on the app or through him he said he already processed it. I asked him if it would be prorated he said no because the cut off for that is the 10th of each month. I told him ok thinking my membership would expire at the end of the month. He told me when members cancel they have until the 16th to use the gym but I could not. I asked him why and he told me because of the way the cancelation was happening. He said because he was canceling it I couldn't use the gym. I told him I requested it and he told me he would not put any notes in my account allowing me to use the gym for the last 4 days due to failure to follow the policy. However , the manager never mentioned he would canceling my policy because I would not put my bag away. I requested the cancelation. He said he understood that but he couldn't change the note. I asked if he could add another note stating that I could use it the remaining 3 days. And he said he could but he would not change it because he had to come to me and explain the policy to me.  This manager was untruthful in his notation of why I was canceling my account. He made it so I cannot use my membership that I paid for! He was probably mad he was losing member and would have no way of legitimately explaining why customers were leaving. Even after saying that I would leave it in the car for the short time despite the risk he said he would not change the notes to reflect it.   I feel that had I not been a pregnant black woman this would have been a different outcome but that is not the case.I can't believe they would treat their members so poorly especially a pregnant woman trying to stay healthy. I asked for a number to call corporate and he said there wasn't one. I do not believe there's only an email for the corporate office and again think this had something to do with him not wanting me to be able to resolve this issue quickly enough to use my membership for the remaining 4 days At no point did he say he was canceling my membership during our conversation. the most he said was ok "I understand". After asking to cancel my membership that's all he said " ok I understand. And walked away. Companies like this really miss the mark when they don't train their managers to appropriately handle situations and allow them to use a cookie cutter terms( i.e. "I understand") when its clear they truly do not care. Hire some people with more professionalism. read more

This location opens August 12th ! The pre registration trailer is already up and accepting new member applications while the planet fitness is open in Morrow to enjoy until then. The employees at that location are some who will be transferring to Stockbridge as well so you can meet the team from over there as well. I'll bring a further update the minute they open. read more

My mother has moved closer to this location and has lost her key tag over the past few months. She downloaded the app but it said you have to have a key tag to link your membership. I called this location on her behalf to ask if they could give me the barcode over the phone AFTER calling her home gym who told me I had to come in the gym. They handled my concerns with care and were able to give me what I needed after verifying information. I as well as my mother are very grateful for the time and care that was taken. read more

I requested to cancel my membership due to Covid I was out of work and could no longer afford paying. For months I wasn't charged and thought my account was closed then yesterday I was charged $244.30 from an account I had REMOVED from my profile. The manager is unreachable and isn't returning my calls. The staff that answers cannot help nor locate the manager. I'm really concerned because the card that was charged was REMOVED before I cancelled, meaning that PF continued to store my card information after it was removed. Now I'm out of $244.30 that I cannot afford to lose and no one will assist me, one staff member even said PF don't do refunds. This is really upsetting and the fact that no manager will talk to me Is completely unacceptable. read more

I just joined after changing from LA fitness. The back part of the parking lot still needs some finishing. The main parking lot and fitness center looks great! The people at the front desk are fun and helpful. The machines are plentiful. I'm so glad I switched. read more

this location has issues with opening on time. Patrons that gets here on the weekends a 7am workout should not have to sit in there cars 10-15 minutes after the gym should have opened. Nor should I have to drive to another location to be told that although your location didnt open on time, you must be a Black Card member to utilize othet locations. Shame on you PF. Hire more reliable ppl and managers that make certain your business gives paying customers what they are paying for. read more

This facility is managed by very young and immature adults who have no idea how to treat or even speak to customers. This gym is great....always clean. The staff is courteous, polite, always greeting when coming& leaving. There are plenty of machines available to use. My family changed from another gym due to the cleanliness & available equipment. I definitely recommend this location!!! read more

So a good friend of mine brought me to your Gym and I had a really great time. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the positive attitudes coming from the members and staff. I made the decision last night to sign up to your Stockbridge location and even went for the upgrade to use any location nationwide. This morning I woke up excited and ready to start getting into shape only to receive a phone call from an employee telling me they are going to cancel my membership because my checking account wasn't on their preferred list... She basically said my account wasn't good enough to use for their business but still charged my account... She then told me to call back later when the manager comes in and maybe she could help. That wasn't the case either. She was not helpful at all. She even went as far as to suggest I open a new checking account just to do business with them... I told her that this was an account for my personal expenses and didn't want to add it to my business account. She just kept saying she was sorry and that there was nothing she could do. So I then asked if she could at least give me my money back since they charged my account last night. She then gave a very discomforting response and said they may or may not refund my money and that I should follow up in a month or so..... seriously?? I cannot believe that a company that has in my opinion been one of the better businesses around has such poor customer service and ridiculous payment options. I guess I get to go Gym shopping today instead of working out. I'm pretty sure there are Gyms in stockbridge that want to make money. read more
