No one appeared to offer a guest pass to their gym at a reasonable price. I call Snap gym expecting the same great deal like in Meridian. WRONG. He wanted to charge for the pass key and $5 a day for each visit. $70 is a lot for 6 days. No, not doing it. I missed a day working out since no one had a reasonable offer. On the first day of my inspection, the receptionist at the unit call NMMC Wellness Center and asked for a deal to workout for a few days. Thank you ma'am. Its a great place. If I lived there, I would definitely be a member. Once again, lots of cardio machines e.g. Cybex Arc Trainers, Pecor ellipticals, and treadmills. Also, there is an indoor track and outdoor track as well. Lots of weights and cybex machines. I really enjoyed this place. There is also a 4 lane indoor pool with a jaccuzzi too. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, once after a workout, I found the WiFi connection on my iPod and was able to check my work email. This was the best experience on this trip. Recommend the Wellness Center for anyone serious about working out. Check it out.

David and Melanie are the owners and trainers who are very sincere about maintaining a clean environment for whatever your fitness goals that each individual chooses to achieve. Both Melanie and David have a great talent for advising patrons and personal training; each of them carry multiple certifications in their field. Melanie has a Master's degree in biology. Over a year ago, I dropped by the gym to meet Melanie, and little did I know that my life would progressively and completely change over the next year of training with Melanie; the results have far exceeded the level that I had ever dared to dream. She is prepared, punctual, uplifting, consistent, relentless, genuinely concerned, caring, and determined that her clients will enjoy major improvements in their individual health and fitness needs/goals. My quality of life is vastly improved over the limitations that I was experiencing a year ago before I discovered Snap. Having had two knee replacements, two lumbar fusions and a myriad of other surgeries and procedures, my hopes for any level of success were very low. We're going to give these people one more chance we have reservations for 18th of July I won't be so calm this time!!! Just be beware when you have reservations there call and make sure no one is in your spot before you drive like 5 hours.

She explained to me that they had a walking tour as well as a drive through. They even give you buckets of food so you can feed the animals, apparently they come right up to you. I didn't take the tour but she invited me to continue to take a look around. Everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves and I didn't hear any wild animals on the loose. Maybe next time I'll take the drive through tour, if things go wrong I know I can't outrun an animal but I can certainly out drive one.

It's a scenic drive, which can also include camping, hiking, biking, and even horseback riding. Being fortunate enough to live next to the Trace, I routinely hike the trails and take in the history, particularly in the North Mississippi area.

The Trace roughly follows the historic travel and trade route (the Old Natchez Trace) that was first established by American bison and Native Americans indigenous to the area. It was later used by boatmen, enslaved Africans, soldiers, and U.S. Presidents among others. The Trace is maintained by the US National Park Service and is said to contain 10,000 years of American history. Over the years, I've driven the majority of the Mississippi and Alabama segments of the Trace and have explored many of the historical sites and natural attractions along the Trace. A few of my personal favorites include the Sunken Trace, Cypress Swamp, Emerald Mound, and Rocky Springs ghost town. I also have fond memories from Summer 2004 of riding on the Trace and listening to BB King as a college student conducting a tour of Civil Rights Movement sites across the state of Mississippi (along with four other students and two Africana Studies professors from my alma mater). As you can tell, I hold the Trace in high regard. So, I was elated to return in Fall 2022 during my road trip through Louisiana and Mississippi. I drove the Trace from Natchez to Jackson (roughly 120 miles), and it was by far the most scenic and quintessentially Southern (referring to the rich, but also fraught, history of the Trace) stretch of my trip.
