A quick stop in the "No Judgement Zone" for a circuit workout followed by a shower and shave. I thought the place was clean and at 11:30 in the morning, it was pretty quiet. Showers were decent though not enough pressure in the hot water. Equipment was clean and the timed circuit is great for mixing it up and ensuring all the muscles are sore the next day. I've been going to planet fitness for years now, recently became a black card member. Since then I've brought a guest, we'd use the gym then go to the tanning beds together after. No problems Today, 1/7/2024 one of their co workers informed me two people can't go in at a time. I explained how I don't feel comfortable with the bed all the way shut and if my friend coming in was okay. They responded " yeah that's fine". After I used the bed we went out to get my friend a bed as well. We got informed the same thing by two different workers. Both agreeing on me going in with my friend to shut the door and to make the more comfortable I'd come out after. Both agreed! As me and my guest are sitting in the room her on the bed me waiting to shut it half way when it turned on! it never did! I went out spoke to the RUDE CO WORKER( the women who's always wearing a hat) and she rudely told me I LIED and she wasn't turning the bed one bc I stayed in there. MA'AM we agreed on me shutting my friends bed when it TURNED ON and it NEVER did. I agreed to speaking to the manager and he as well told me I lied and banned us from using the tanning beds for the rest of the day. Understandable while reading this it doesn't sound like a big deal bc it's a tanning bed but overall costumer service was a zero. The customers always right especially when they truly are! How your team handled the situation was incredible rude and unprofessional! Never have I been treated so disrespectful from staff while in a situation where they prove THEY are wrong and not the COSTUMER! read more

Clean facilities and decent equipment; wish there was more abs and calisthenics but otherwise nice facility. The only thing that I'd change are the fact that the TVs are shut off an hour before closing, and some of the employees are heavy-handed with the Lunk Alarm. I totally get wanting to go home and a quick sound 10 min before closing is fine but to just flip it on and let it blare is unnecessary. read more

I came into this gym hoping for a calm peaceful workout, but as it turns out me and my foot injuries are not welcome here. I came in with slippers on because i broke my foot in an atv accident and have developed arthritis and plantar fasciitis. Because of this I wear soft shoes with open toes to make my foot less sore. When I was confronted I tried to politely tell the worker that my injury prevents me from wearing the propers shoes, she just threw her arms up in the air and walked away. Planet Fitness is a franchise operation. It sure looks like the owner is new to this because they certainly don't understand customer relations that are critical in opening a new business and starting out with zero customers. I received an ad in the mail offering a pre-opening sale. The deal is $1 to sign up, $10 a month, and an annual fee of $39. They even threw in a free t-shirt. If you do the math, this comes out to $160 for a year's membership. However, my health insurance will cover me up to $150 per year if I show them a paid bill. I was guessing that if I paid a year in advance, they would do it for $150. Because of the way the paperwork with the insurance company works, it would not work if I paid by the month. Boy was I wrong! If you want to pay a year in advance the price is $199. I could not believe that they wanted me to pay more for paying a year in advance than I would by paying each month. So I questioned them and they insisted that was the deal. I told them that they were obviously not interested in my business and I left. If this is the way they think is best for running a business, I don't think they will survive very long. read more

So a gym is a pretty simple as long as the machines work and the place is relatively clean it should get a good rating. Let's say 4 stars on those simple facts. Well the reason I give planet fitness in Wareham 5 stars is because of the staff. If it wasn't for Carson in the morning and the other staff through the day, I wouldn't be able to be where I am and where I'm going. He opens the doors everyday rain or shine 5am. Carson is courteous, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I mean the guy even defends our gym against jerks that try to abuse it or use it without a membership. Top notch employees and quality machines. RUDE EMPLOYEE. I don't know what his name is but he has purple hair and wears his hair up in a pony tail....that should be enough right there...but I came in today, scanned my barcode and went to work out. After I was finished I wanted to tan so I went up to the desk and asked him if I could tan. He was eating when I asked and I felt bad so I said "I'm sorry if I interrupted your lunch". He looked at me and rolled his eyes. I was taken back by this completely. I went into the room to tan, got on the bed and the lights didn't turn on. I called and asked if he could turn the lights on as I was already undressed on the bed, and said to me "none of the beds are working right now" after he just let me go into the tanning room. I had heard from my friend that one time when she came in to work out he commented on her weight and said "since you've been here you haven't lost any weight" and laughed at her. I decided to cancel my membership because I was trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt but he had a disgusting attitude with me so I wanted to cancel and go to a whole different company. I asked him to cancel my membership and he then chuckles and says "you really can't afford a membership here?" Really??? This is how you let your employees talk to paying customers? Absolutely DISGRACEFUL. I will never be coming back here . I really hope one of the higher up managers look at this and all of the other terrible reviews and decide they need to do something about it. read more

Clean and organized location. This is nice Co-Ed gym, truly no judgement. The staff is kind and helpful. They offer a variety of classes. Highly recommend. It is great for teens to adults. Kettlebells, medicine balls, trx, free weights and more. read more

The "no commitment" rule certainly doesn't apply to the PF Wareham location. Black card member--but if I want to drop down to a lower level, $20.00 extra to do that (commitment)...trying to cancel my membership completely now and PF Wareham is saying it will cost $59.00 to get out of my membership (serious commitment). Whenever I go to mashpee I am treated so kindly and understanding by their team. I do love the gym but PLEASE..clean the lockers. In the Men's Lockers there has been trash such as paper towels and used cleanex in the first 3 lockers for over a month. I have asked for cleaning to no response! The rest of the gym is spotless. The lockers should be inspected daily! read more

I am a member of the Planet Fitness Wareham MA and I witnessed Ms Mackenzie's encounter with the manager she writes about and, contrary to what she says, the manager was nothing but professional in her encounter with Ms Mackenzie. She tried to be as accommodating as possible at the time and within her power but Ms Mackenzie was like a dog after a bone and became increasingly rude and belittling. Short of groveling at Ms Mackenzie's feet the manager did everything she could to assist her. I hate to see this manager wrongly attacked in print all because Ms Mackenzie is an already unhappy person can't be made happy. read more

honestly this has been the best planet fitness I've been too , and I have been to a lot of them ! the staff is very kind and completely not judgmental !!! HANDS DOWN ; they have very good tanning beds I do wish bed one was more like bed five. but those massage chairs are like no other massage chairs the deep tissue one is the definition of deep tissue and they hydro massage chair words cant explain both of these massage chairs ! and there are some planet fitness gyms that are judgmental but the Wareham one definitely isn't one of them ! I'm very pleased to be apart of this gym and beyond happy that I switched from Work Out World for them !!! Only thing is , that I think if they bought tingle tanning lotion they would sell more tanning product ! :) read more

Crazy busy.... because it's new, I guess. I come for the '30 minute Express Workout'. Even though we all get the same intro to the guidelines, not ONE client was doing the correct workout....sitting around, chatting, on phone....which ruins the workout for the rest of us. Staff too busy to monitor the gym. Frustrating. So wanted this location to be my home gym....management needs to step up soon, as many clients are disappointed. read more

This gym is unethical in the way they do business. The sales person will tell you the membership is noncommital while the small print says otherwise. I believe this is defraudment and if they are doing this at all their franchises I would think it would open them to a class action lawsuit or a review by the states attorny. read more
