Not a bad gym considering there's not a lot of free weight options... That being said, this place is super clean, the equipment is well maintained and the staff has, thus far, been very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are nice. Several showers available and tons of lockers. This place has massage beds, tanning beds, and massage chairs as well. Great options for post workout stress relief. Being a black card member has several perks and seems to be worth the extra cost. read more

This isn't my "home" Planet Fitness but I've worked out here several times over the holidays and have always found it to be very suitable. Like many other PFs it's located in an old supermarket. This means that there is plenty of room for everything you'd expect to find in a PF. As typical with the brand they are heavy on cardio. There are all assortments of different cardio machines to work up a sweat on. They have plenty of weight machines and a decent selection of free weights. As long as you aren't looking to power lift, you'll find what you need. The front of the building gets a lot of natural light, the back not so much. But that's to be expected. The men's locker room has a great set up with plenty of lockers and space to move around. My one gripe is that the individual shower stalls don't have soap in them (other locations tend to have them). But that isn't a huge deal. Another staple of PF is that the whole place is incredibly clean which is greatly appreciated. I like and enjoy PF and this is a solid, positive, representation of the brand. It is a great option if you are looking for an affordable place to work out at in the WR area. read more

This Planet Fitness was closed longer than it was supposed to be. However, I called the main customer service phone number when they did not open back up around the original reopening dates and after staying on hold a while I was able to explain the situation. They paused my membership and sent me an email to confirm. Then a few days later someone from the Perry GA location reached out to give me know the reopening date 10/09/2023. So I will be going to find out. Also my pause date will be ending in less than ten days. I drove over there today and looks really great and brand new. I can't wait to get back in there!!! Gym Memberships are notorious traps- I LOVED coming to this gym- me and my best mate-got into the best shape of our lives- LIFE happened-and at the time you couldn't cancel over the phone-LSS-We each owe $211. If I paid off my $211 and got a Black Card-my best mate can't come until he pays his off. *Note this is considered "Old debt" and was a positive tax write off for PF. They didn't lose money. Years ago they offered a forgiveness period and membership EXPLODED. I will say hat the manager was VERY professional, but I just wanted SOMETHING-"I can take this late fee off" etc.-but facing the prospect of paying $422 so that me and John can each purchase a new membership. Equipment is nice and clean. Staff are very polite. However 2 complaints.. stereo speaker has been busted for about a year and a half and is a lot of static. Also they keep it so cold in there that if you sweat you are really working out hard. I have to wear a sweatshirt and usually am still cold. I work out hard. It detours me to think of joining another gym for the climate only. I mean literally your hair is blowing like it's in h the wind. Just being honest. read more

They did offer the option to drive 10 miles to Perry or 20+ miles to Macon as an alternative. This doesn't sound like a well thought out plan for a professional organization. "For the enhanced safety of everyone, masks are now required, except when actively working out." I went in to cancel my membership, I just didn't see me going there for a while due to the pandemic. Last I knew of the place was an email I got from them saying masks were mandatory. I was surprised that none of the customers working out were wearing masks. Huffing and puffing on the treadmills, some of them obviously seniors. It's a very, very bad idea, and you could not have dragged me back into that area. Everyone will believe whatever they want to believe. But if you are going to a gym and breathing heavy in the same room with other people who you do not know during a global droplet precaution pandemic that has caused major hospitals in the local area to go into diversion...then I guess I will just leave you to it and keep my distance. You do not want this virus. Even if it does not kill you or anyone you care about, you don't want to suffer through it. read more

Very bad customer service! They take your money, and then gives you more problem. I've had issues with insufficient funds twice. I've been a member since June. Only went the 3 times. Brought my mom tonight 10/04 and he said I have due fees which is DUESWTAN $22.06+10 late fee Payment should be charged 5 times with the annual charge. But I have paid 7 times. Once I paid the due online in front of the rude African American young boy, he said I don't know what you just paid 5 times. He said that they take payments and swipe the card at their register and he said that I cannot pay it online. Why would they have the option of paying online? So far I was charged $181.36 Oh Lort! It's a messy situation. Above it all he doesn't know how to communicate well, whoever is filing a lawsuit I am with you. read more

I have been a member of Planet Fitness on and off over the past five years. All planet fitness gyms I have ever been to were immaculately clean but this one is not. I'm not even sure they wipe down anything and I see the members leaving weights and walking away without wiping down machines. So very disappointed read more

Joined this establishment Feb. 2020 and all seemed fine. However, with the Covid-19 issues, I do not feel safe going back to the facility. Have tried numerous times to cancel but they keep charging my account. They have also charged my account a yearly fee which is unacceptable. Have only used the facility 3 times and have paid over $70. They are individually owned and operated, and it seems they fall back with the excuse. The people answering the phone have very poor customer service. Just because a facility opens for 'business' does not mean it is safe. We have a social pandemic and a fitness facility is not a safe environment for people at this time. Time to contact our state representative and the local news. read more

I joined this Planet Fitness back in Jan 2019. It was convenient to work so that I could work out before or after work. I am an EMT and initially I was working 12 hour shifts and this plan would have worked but soon after I was moved to 24 hour shifts which is a huge adjustment and doesn't leave a lot of time for me to get things done around the house let alone working out. I went back in to the gym in Feb so that I could cancel the membership because it was just not going to be beneficial and I didn't want to pay for something I wasn't going to use. I go in and advise the employee of my dilemma and I was given a form to sign to effectively cancel my membership. All taken care of and done. I was told I was good to go. Awesome and easy right?! WRONG! Fast forward to today. I get a text message saying my payment didn't go through at Planet Fitness. I'm thinking to myself of course it didn't go through...I don't have a membership. There was a 1-800 number to call but they are only responsible for collecting payments and he advised that I call the Planet Fitness directly. I hang up with him and call the local Planet Fitness. The person I spoke with there was confusing. I explained my situation and she said that if I wanted to cancel I would have to come in and cancel. I told her I had already done this. I've signed the cancellation form back in 2019 so there is no need to do this again. I just need it to be corrected in your system and I need the fees the gym has charged me from March of 2019 to May 2021 to be refunded since I had only set foot in the gym twice. Once to set up the membership and the second time to cancel it. She could very clearly see this in the system because she mentioned it. She told me I didn't sign up for a membership, she said what I signed up for was more like a subscription. She said it's like Netflix. You pay for it every month and even though you may not use it every day it's always readily available for you. I told her you can cancel subscriptions with no problems and get refunds especially if there is no use shown. So after going around in circles a couple times her ultimate answer was we don't give refunds and if you want this canceled you have to come in the gym in person to cancel it. I'm out $600+ because of an error on their part that they refuse to correct. If you are looking for a gym pay more and go somewhere else. There are plenty of good locally owned options. Planet Fitness prides themselves on price and the "No Judgment Zone". I'd rather pay $10 extra and hear someone grunt and throw weights around than ever set foot in a Planet Fitness ever again. I have friends who used to work out there who left because of damaged or broken equipment they reported and was never fixed or there was never an employee around to address their concerns (yes it was during business hours). My husband an I Have been black card holders for almost 2 years now never really had too many problems until tonight . I take my 80 year old mother to the gym as my guest which States I'm allowed to have in my contract Shaw at the front desk stops me says I need her name and her number I said for what he said I need her picture and a signature too and I said for what he said we have to make a guest account. Never in the entire time I've been a black card holder have I ever had to make a guest account . He was so rude about it I mean extremely rude . your younger generation employees need to learn respect and how to handle business affairs . why lose 2 blackcard member accounts there is no reason for you to have my 80 year old mothers information for her to be my guest! you have all of my information . Both my wife and have been black card members a couple of years plus. No major issues until tonight... Was walking on the treadmill as usual and was approached by a staff member (in the middle of my workout and in front of other members) and told that I was not allowed to place my hands on the top of the display for the treadmill. It was a new policy... No explanation or reason, just don't do it. The person on the treadmill next to mine shook her head in disbelief. We will be cancelling both memberships and moving to another gym. I travel a lot and use other PF gyms without any issues. So much for the "Judgement Free Zone"! I have been to many Planet Fitness locations in Florida, Georgia, and the mid-west. With this specific location..... I cant say its amazing... nor can I say it is terrible. I just didn't feel the energy when I was going there for a full week. It just seemed like both the staff and clients didn't care about anything. Nothing particularly wrong with it.... its clean, has all the equipment you need, never had issues waiting for equipment..... but... just meh. Worse gym ever! They do not respect military at all. Have showed them proof of our move and they have said that they would take care of it and they still have not taken care of ending my membership. We live 6 and a half hours away and they want to say they can not do anything unless we come in until then they will continue to take my money out of my account. So my advice do not join. I joined Warner Robins Planet Fitness well over 3 years ago. Around mid-year 2018 some older members noticed ongoing safety issues with the equipment such as, lose anchoring on the arm resistance machine, located under the large TV screen. Lose anchoring on the rotary waist machine. Some of the thread machines had a thumping sound. There was also delamination on the arm padding of several other pull-resistance machines. After pointing the ongoing issues an associate mentioned that there was work pending on the entire equipment. I started training at the Macon location for the latter having safer equipment but they required a black card UPGRADE. I upgraded my card and requested a PF Warner Robins cancellation. Warner Robins responded that cancellation would involve penalty fees. Earlier in 2019 Planet Fitness renewed my membership and proceeded to apply monthly charges on my bank account. Charges continue to be applied on monthly basis undisputed. Pretty shady approach towards customer retention. Previous member are pulling some info to forward BBB. I contacted Planet fitness headquarters over the unfair practice of penalties for cancelling over UNSAFE EQUIPMENT. Planet Fitness facilities are individually owned. Any rehearsed response to negative comments would arrive via associates, not from the actual owners. The only channel for rating this business is this YP. Why is that? read more

Awesome gym! Very clean and the staff was friendly. The showers at this PF is great, don't know why the others are not done this way. Instead of a dressing room across from the showers the shower area is a little larger and a curtain was put up. Just pull the curtain and you have the shower and dressing area all in one place. read more

I am pursuing other members who are frustrated with the business practices of Planet Fitness to reach out to me. I signed up from Planet Fitness easily online but have been unable to find away to end the membership. I am exploring the possibility of a class action lawsuit as it seems impossible to remove them from my checking account. read more

We were in town visiting and stopped in to see if we could upgrade our son's white card to a black card so he could workout during the week. The first sales associate was helping us when an error message he had never seen popped up which prevented him from completing the process. He asked his manager, Devon, for help in completing the process. Devon, went above and beyond our expectations. He had never seen the error message either, however, he made a couple of phone calls only to find out he needed to talk to someone in the corporate office. Instead of making us wait, he allowed our son to workout and continued to try to resolve the issue. Our son has been allowed to workout the rest of the week. Planet Fitness is kind of the "Everyman"'s gym, which makes it perfect for me. I never feel out of place or like I'm being bothered or watched. The staff is friendly, but I do find them to be on the young and immature side. Getting the black card is totally worth it for the use of the massage tables and the tanning. It's also in a great convenient location with a nice big parking lot (useful during the beginning of the year when it's super busy!) and I LOVE that they are open 24 hours on most days.
