Just did a day pass since I was in the area while my wife got a gum graph next door. Not a bad gym at all, but the vibe was different. No bench press at all! They had Smith machines, but no free bench press, incline or decline stands. That was sad because today was chest and triceps. I finally seen the "famous" lunk alarm, but was so confused. They don't like people carrying a gallon of water, but no shoes and extremely skimpy shorts where the booty hands out is acceptable? After finally coming to a Planet gym, I'm glad I'm not a full time member because they have too much cardio machines and not enough free weights. It was the smallest rack of weights any gym has had. First time at this location, but I've been to three others to compare. This location isn't as busy on a Saturday as most are so it was nice. Good amount of cardio and weight machines. They had the slanted smith machine for lifting, but not the straight ones. Not a big deal, I just know it matters to some lifters. Also all of the machines are in great condition yet they seem to be older since none have the digital rep display. Not as many free weights or benches compared to other locations. I didn't notice any issues with the other gym goers so seems like there's no issue there either. read more

This facility is one of the most unkept and nasty locations I've ever been to. Starting off with the water fountain, they have mold clumps in both of the drains (see photos). All the machines need a deep clean. There is layers of dust on most of them and they don't look like anyone's taken a rag to them in months. There's also so much debris around the corners of the stretching room and the connecting rooms it's like again, no one has taken a sweeper to the floors in months. Almost every time I go, the paper towels are out and the spray as well. I never see any staff walking around cleaning. Trash all over the floors as well. Lastly a mention to the staff that is so unfriendly and definitely not helpful any time I go. I was trying to get information on the red light therapy and all the functions. During my "conversation" with whoever was at the desk, he did not look up from his phone one time and couldn't answer and of my questions without some type of annoyance like I was a bother. When I walked up to the desk and when I left after my time in that machine, he was still leaning on the desk on his phone with no "have a good day" or "thanks for coming in", at other locations like they are always greeting customers. Planet Fitness needs to bring back their friendly staff like they had years ago. Unfortunately this location is the closest unless I go on the other side of town so I will continue to stay at this location but it is very unsettling every time I go. read more

This is a really nice gym... Plenty of equipment, not too crowded, COVID policies are enforced, and really clean. I like the fact that they have a lot of cleaner/paper towel stations around. read more

I love this location but my allergies go nuts every time I work out there. I wish they'd do deep cleaning more often and clean out the air vents. It's the worst in the stretching room. I think it just needs thoroughly mopped everywhere. It's a great gym otherwise! read more

My husband and I both have memberships at the Polaris location. He accidentally signed in on my account once and instead of asking me or him why, they closed my account and banned me from the gym without any notice. It was clearly a mistake he didn't even know that it happened so it must have been a computer error. The gym could see that we both had accounts and that we both registered on different days and they continued to charge both accounts even after closing mine. When I explained to them that it was a mistake (and were just now finding out) they said it was our fault and they have a zero tolerance policy for people using other people's accounts. They did not admit to their mistake and if it hadn't been for me being able to show proof on my banking that we were paying for two accounts, they would still be calling me a liar. I still can't believe that that happened. They basically called me a criminal and a liar, then told me I was being rude so they didn't want to give me my account back. I was shocked at their treatment of me and lack of motivation to keep me as a customer. Meanwhile they were completely fine with my husband still working out there. Great location. After 3 years off from working out I had joined the Worthingron location as it was the closest to my house. I was lackadaisical in going due to traffic and the place always being crowded, so you can't imagine how glad I was to see Westerville getting a location. Upon transferring here the staff was great and the new machines were a plus. Around February or March I signed up for a create your own training program with Austin. He listened to my workout history and previous issues (back surgery). Together we created a plan that I'm recently restarting as I couldn't fully commit due to a pinched nerve. What's great is the amount of machines and free weights as long as you get there before tje crowd hits. Staff is great & helpful, prices are typical for Planet Fitness. read more

Oh my goodness, I've been waiting for this day to come--a Planet Fitness in my neighborhood! This location is brand spanking new and just opened this past Friday. It is definitely their best location, of course mostly because everything smells new and it's not crowded (yet). I normally went to the Worthington, Dillmont Dr. location, and as much as that was great, I love the layout of this location and they have so many more machines! Yay for rowing machines and stair steppers which were non existent in Worthington. The staff here is just learning the ropes but they are friendly enough! I had to ask them for the solution and a towel to clean my machines after use because they don't have that out on the floor yet. They were very appreciative that I asked, though. I can't wait to explore and try all that they have here, but I'm excited to give them their first review! I will be getting about 45 minutes in travel round trip being that they are so close to my home. Yay! read more

I was excited when I learned this new location was opening soon and it really opened quickly. It's a 4 minute drive from my work, vs the Worthington location on 23. I went today for the first time and was very impressed. Thoughts: Not only is it brand spanking new, there are perks I haven't found at the 3 other locations I have visited. Rowing machines, what? Love those and have wished my home (the Hilliard location) gym had them. The treadmills and recumbent bikes are different from the usual models. There are windows on the side of the building since it is an end unit. More natural light! The hydromassage area includes chairs as well as the beds. I loved that. My first impression of the women's locker room was that it is smaller than expected. I noticed there are differences in the tv channels. When I saw Animal Planet, I looked at the other screens and there is no Fox News! Woot! Progress! I'm happy it's open and so close - it will be harder to flake out on a lunch hour workout. read more

This is a very well run gym. It is clean and has many machines. I never have to wait because there are plenty of machines to choose from. The staff is very nice and friendly. It is great walking in and being greeted with a smile. They are very professional. I will say I feel for them that the staff at the counter do not have stools to sit on. I think allowing them to sit while on their shift will help prevent unnecessary stress on the knees and hips. It is a great value for the money. read more

I am a big fan of planet fitness and the idea behind it. Planet fitness is a wonderful gym for the price, always clean and equipment is always in good working condition. Unfortunately this location has EXTREMELY cold showers! The water never gets hot and after giving it a chance time and time again and having cold showers every time I do my best to avoid this location. read more

I called about doing free pass with my son who is 13 years old to try the gym out. They told me a 13-year-old can work out at the gym. They said sign up for a free pass online. I signed up and tried to sign up my son but kept getting error. I just figured it was an issue online and when we went in to try free pass they could give my son a free pass. I get to the gym and the guy at front desk said if I could not sign up my son for the free pass online he can't workout there with me. The whole point was for us to try the place out. The guy said I can pay $25 for my son to workout with me to try out the gym. You know how you solve these issues you go to a gym that wants your business. These guys could not problem solve giving my son a free pass to try out their gym. Bad customer service. read more

This gym is always clean and tidy, and you can always find enough room to use the machines. My only negative is that the free weight/dumbbell area seems crowded often, but if I go during the week, it typically isn't an issue. read more

First review I've ever left, just felt quite compelled to do so. Very rude yet amazingly inattentive staff. They're more interested in staring at their phones than actually helping someone out. Two weeks ago, I asked what I assume is the manager for help, and it was honestly like pulling teeth to get him to come help me. Staff also clearly caters to a certain type of customer, which many others have commented on as well. If you look a certain way, they'll take great care of you. If not, you'll have the same experience as not only I've had, but most people at our office who workout there. If you want a better experience, go right across the street, or a smaller workout facility. Upon walking in to their closest competitors location last week, someone actually said "Hi" to me and didn't look annoyed to have to do it. Watch for the owner to post any minute now and say they were "Unaware" or defend their actions. They'll also say they don't show favoritism. Simply show up and watch to see what we all know is happening. read more

I Am a 68 year old disabled man who requested my membership be canceled without having to physically go to the club to cancel. I started sending emails and calls to the club and asked to hear from a manger back several months ago. They continued to take out my monthly fee and waited to respond to me until they took my annual fee recently. I did not ask for any monthly fees to be refunded but just the annual fee. I just received a call from the manger informing me that they would cancel my membership but would not refund my annual fee. Do you want to do business with a company who treats people particularly disabled people like this? Poor leadership! read more

I'm livid at this place! I just bought a membership and went on a Tuesday. You were required to wear masks in and out of the building (I have no problem with that). Came back that same week on a Friday brought my mask wore it inside did my cardio workout, and then I went back to do some stretching and some other workouts in the back. After about 10 minutes one of the workers comes up to me and says that You have to wear a mask if you're not on the cardio machine, I was a little peeved because those were not the rules two days earlier. But I wore it anyway. About five minutes later the same worker comes and stands by me awkwardly for a solid two minutes just watching me do my work out to Tell me that I have to cover my nose while I am working out. Are you kidding me?! I know you're supposed to do that! But I can't breathe! I am not hurting anybody else by breathing in other air it's different with the mask you're covering your mouth so you don't infect anybody else but if I want to breath the air there that's my prerogative. Also the fact that he just creepily stood by me for a solid two minutes is uncalled for. I have absolutely no problem wearing a mask anywhere else. But seriously someone is going to freaking pass out that is ridiculous. Also, I should've been informed of this when I bought my membership. I will cancel it now and just continue to work out at home. read more
