They installed 2 ring cameras,ring doorbell, network rack and even finished my 10 yr home theater project speaker system. I am thoroughly impressed by the people and the installation. I moved in to a new house and had 2 televisions to mount, one with a Sonos playbar. As Adam was mounting the television in the great room he discovered the wall was bowed. This made it difficult to level. He continued to work until he got it perfect. He even came back out when I realized that the master tv was off center, my fault, the bed wasn't centered. Adam from Planet Geek has been awesome to work with. My wife booked him to hang a sound bar for a surprise bday present in June and today he mounted a tv on our back patio. I remembered how happy my wife was with his service that I reached out to him last week. When doing the job today it was 113 degrees outside but Adam didn't complain or try to reschedule! There is a reason Adam gets 5 star reviews--he earns them!! I bought a 28" flat screen TV which needed to fit in the nook I had built for my 15 yr old big screen TV and be compatible with older auxiliary components--DVD player, VHS player, turn table and receiver. I measured, bought, and put together a stand that fit with shelves underneath. After that, I started reading instructions and quickly learned I was in over my head. Called around to various Yelp listings--most said they were in the home theater business so this was a project they were not interested in. HUH?? Discouraged, I kept calling until I came across Planet Geek and Adam. I left him a message and he called back within an hour. I told him exactly what I wanted. Not only would he help me--he warned me that some of my old components may not be compatible with a smart TV. We set a date. He was early and quickly got to work assessing what needed to be done. He explained that my old Denon receiver and my DVD player were antiquated and had no space or compatibility with HDMI, my VHS could be fixed with an HDMI adapter. He put together the TV and hooked up the surround sound. I needed a new receiver and new DVD player. He said he could get them and an HDMI adapter and would return. (I needed a receiver that could switch from inside to outside speakers or both). I did some looking on line as well--but nothing told me that the receivers I saw had the inside/outside capability. The next day Adam emailed the name and pricing of the receiver and DVD player. The prices were lower than what I found!! So I gave the go ahead to buy them for me. When he got all the pieces, he called with a choice of dates. So he came today and put everything together and finished the job. I am soooo happy with the results. He was patient when I changed my mind about the placement of the cable box and moved it again. He even helped me install a Heos App on my phone so I can play I-tunes without physically hooking up my phone. He was polite, friendly and professional. And very knowledgeable about how things worked together. He also took time to explain how to use the receiver to control the sound and the components. And his charges were outrageously lower than what I anticipated----so I tipped him well. He saved me hours of trying to understand, going to stores to get parts, etc. I would highly recommend you call Adam. PS While he was here today, I was working on my Macbook Pro laptop and mentioned the noises it was making and how slow it was getting and that the CD/DVD player would no longer work. I love my 17" screen and they do not make them anymore. Adam took a look and said I most likely needed a new fan, a new hard drive and new battery. He said he could replace those with new parts for about $150.00. I found out he is an expert in IT as well! He said he would gather the probably parts needed, call me to arrange keeping my laptop overnight to fix it. Awesome!! read more
