The open skating rink featured a lot of people here. Staff was attentive to make sure no one was lollygagging and helping out the little ones and some adults that fell down a lot. This place has a few hockey Rinks inside and this place has a lot of activities going on here as well. Everything about this place is fairly maintained as well. On certain days the parking can be a little chaotic especially when they have hockey games or practices here. Overall, I did enjoy my visit here. Definitely check this place out! Recently, I was invited to a birthday party a friend of mine was throwing for her boyfriend and was…read morepleasantly surprised to see that it was going to be held at H-F Ice Arena. These days, it seems, they offer packages where people can rent out a party room along with ice time in the adjoining studio rink for the exclusive use of all the guests. The perfect setting for her hockey player beau. On the invitations, we were told to bring our sticks and pucks to shoot around on the ice if we liked, which surprised me a little because the studio I remembered in the past was not painted with blue lines, face off circles and creases. It is now. Anyhow, everyone had a blast. So much so that they had to peel a couple of us off the ice when our time was done. The party was a huge success and now we're thinking about renting the studio to have a mini game or two in the near future. Time to dust off the pads, I guess...and update my Blue Cross policy.

HF Ice arena has some of the best ice around for the serious skater. The ice is always…read moreimmaculately maintained, the arena is clean and bright, the staff is friendly and the store has a nice selection of both figure skating and hockey gear. They have a nice party room and a small studio rink that can both be rented for a reasonable cost for birthday parties and such. The only downside is their extremely limited public skate hours (currently only on Friday and Saturday nights for an hour and a half) which means it is often very crowded, and there is not a lot of freestyle time available either. A few years ago, the little HF ice arena was nationally known because its figure skating program was truly outstanding. The synchronized skating teams (the HF Icettes) occasionally won the ISI or USFSA national championship, and often took silver or gold medals, earning them frequent invitations to skate in professional ice shows such as Superstars on Ice, etc. Unfortunately, a couple of years ago, the park district stopped supporting the arena, and the Icettes disbanded. Its sad. Within a couple of years a great ice arena with a national reputation for its stellar figure skating program became a good ice arena that few have ever heard of. Still a great place to skate though, if you can get there during the few times they are open.

Christian was so helpful to us with moving tables, clean up & most of all made sure no one was left out which is i was worried about. He made it go smooth & relaxed. 10/25/2022 -- So after attempting to post this to the review page of Aspire gymnastics on Facebook…read more-- I was casually blocked from posting a review. Hm...convenient timing. so then my mom posted it and it just naturally disappeared. So I'll share it everywhere else that I can. DO NOT ATTEND ASPIRE GYMNASTICS. I attended Aspire gymnastics academy (Joliet) growing up and have ALWAYS recommended and loved these people and this gym. I went there for YEARS. After having some personal issues and I needed to speak to the owner about dropping classes for the next month (my email was sent less then 24 hours after the drop date). I repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience and was explaining how we had all intentions of coming back in the future. That I simply received the email a day after and replied immediately upon receiving it, and apologized for receiving it a day late somehow as i also had gotten a new phone and this was happening with other things also. I was screamed at, disrespected, and after she agreed to drop the class, she then took that back and refused to even continue the phone call. Said she was flagging my account for being problematic and nearly hung up on me. She began yelling and downplaying our personal issues to being my fault. At one point she literally told me to stop talking. I have never been so disappointed by a place I have repeatedly praised to family, friends, and more in the past. Thankfully, I recorded the entire call. Apparently, I'll be receiving a call back tomorrow and hopefully it's from someone more professional. 10/26/2022: Aspire Gymnastics couldn't even give me that call back I was promised. Got a great email about how "she tried to reason with me" last time I checked business owners don't yell, scream, and blatantly disrespect their customers. DO NOT ATTEND ASPIRE.

Their pre-game show is far and away the best out of any professional sports team. Nothing better than lasers, pyro, and the heart pounding music of Motley Crue. Lot of funs things to do at the arena for the kiddos as well. The Skates Mates kids club was always a blast when I was younger. Fingers crossed they continue to do well in the playoffs!

I was really impressed…read morewith the entire experience from start to end from the efficient parking management and security screening to the amazing amount of side activities and picture opportunities that were available. There was never a dull moment during this entire experience. One way to really get a crowd energized from the start is with introducing the players with pyrotechnics which was followed by a great singing of the national anthem. The fast pace of the game and constant offense had the crowd constantly cheering, especially when the Wolves would score a goal. During the intermissions, it was great to wander around the arena which was complete with everything from backdrops to dog petting to merchandise purchases to fun photo opportunities with props. There was a good mix of things to do that were free and paid, and the lines weren't excessive. Between second and third period, I also got to see the mascot, watching a flying blimp, watch the Zambonis go across the ice, and try to get a free t-shirt. This definitely made the entire intermission super eventful and a lot of fun. Overall, I would definitely come back for another game. It was exciting and there was so much to experience. It was also definitely a great place to enjoy an experience with friends as the noise wasn't excessive so it wasn't too difficult to hear one another.

I appreciate the fact that I can bring his name up to my son, and he straightens up his behavior right away. It's scary how well that works. Plus, my kids love Taekwondo. They enjoy their classes and the challenges that are presented to them. Especially during these last 2 years, my kids have really embraced it. It has given them confidence and kept them focused on different activities outside of Taekwondo as well. They have learned to approach problems in a better way. I appreciate the discipline it brings out of them and can see an overall improvement to how they approach Taekwondo now versus when they first joined. Instructor Irina is amazing with them. She has worked with them long enough to know what areas need improvement and focuses on that. This definitely is not an easy task, especially on Zoom. Thank you Master Park and Instructor Irina, for being positive influences on their lives during these formative years!

I'm addition to his team training he has open practices on Sundays and 4v4 pickup games on Saturdays during the winter. He also does day long camps whenever CPS has a day off.
