I have been told by my friends that I sometimes demand perfection, especially when it comes to customer service. Planet Party Rentals was PERFECT! I initially chose them because they have a clear, upfront website with all their prices clearly indicated. Ordering the 4 tents, 15 tables, and 100 chairs was VERY EASY. And their prices are extremely reasonable. And they charged ONLY $10 for delivery, setup, take down, and pickup!!! That's crazy cheap! Had an outdoor birthday party and needed tables, clothes, and chairs. Planet Party Rentals were the best to use and at a crazy good price. Their tables and clothes are all standard types but they're in good condition. I especially love that they're flexible and drops it off at your house without a fee and picks it up on the scheduled day. Actually, not only do they pick it up, you actually don't even need to clean and fold the tables. They come and clean up the tables, fold them, and pack it up themselves. I literally barely had to do anything except for setting up the table like how I wanted it after they dropped me off. One thing is since it's a small business, only one guy answers the phone when you call ( I think it is his cell) . We had to keep calling a few times and leave vmails to finally get in contact. They offer packages, which saved me money. Due to last minute request, I wasn't able to get the overlays I wanted, so just know they need time to ensure everything is clean. We went back & forth thru text about possible colors. With everything that was going on, I appreciated the text option. I called in on a Tuesday afternoon requesting rentals for Thursday. My event started Thursday at 9am. I rented a 20x30 tent, 80 chairs, 10 tables & 10 white linen table cloths. Everything was in great condition! The tent perfectly white & clean, as were the linens. I found Party Planet Rentals after dealing with another rental company for over two weeks who didn't return calls, and who didn't even give me a quote or confirm that the equipment I wanted was in stock. They also wanted to charge me a crazy amount to keep the equipment "overnight" the actual night of my party. Thank goodness I found Party Planet. The same evening I called, Adolfo was able to confirm that they had the equipment I needed, give me a time of delivery, give me a quote (very good prices btw), and confirm that they wouldn't be charging me overnight fees for a party that would go until 2:00 am. I was so relieved to get help from him on the first call and not have to wait 2 weeks for answers. The next week when rain was in the forecast for my party I reserved tents in addition to my other equipment. He let me reserve them but told me I would be able to drop the reservation the day before my event if it looked like the rain wouldn't happen... Without charging me extra! Yay! We ended up getting the tents and they delivered and set up everything fast and beautifully, thoroughly explaining how to use their heaters and other equipment. The equipment was clean and really nice looking too! Adolfo was a great communicator, calling me back promptly, answering all my questions, confirming information and emailing documents when promised. He and his crew were so nice and accommodating. I was planning a very important event on Father's Day.....a memorial service for my husband. I called 3 companies a month early because I needed to know I could reserve the date. All 3 companies had time available, but after talking to Adolfo, I was SOLD! He is a true professional and his prices are so reasonable I don't know why anyone would go any place else! Three people came to set up and was I in for a surprise! Everything was in "like new" condition, I thought the chairs were new, the tablecloths were in perfect "wrinkle free" fabric, they installed and came back the following day to pick up. While I watched them pick up, I noticed every single chair was placed in its own plastic bag and transferred to a box. The tent poles were wrapped carefully, the tent folded to perfection! I'm not really sure why this place got such high reviews. I called but got no answer. I finally texted and the communication just wasn't there. I wanted to confirm my reservation and got a text back that nothing was available. In response to this company's reply: The reason why I texted was to confirm. The response that I got was "equipment not available". Two weeks ahead of the event and NOTHING was available? That was not relayed to me with the initial text message. I had not gotten a response besides, "yes we deliver". No other follow-up or confirmation. How can I provide more information when the response I got was just "yes we deliver" sent twice. The next time I texted was to follow-up and nothing was available by that time. The customer service and communication is lacking. The impression I got was that they didn't want my business. So I'll just take it somewhere else. I'm just stating my experience, that is what yelp is for. Oh and own up to your own shortcomings instead of trying to save face! read more
