This place is unique because they can use cremated remains of a loved one in the ink as part of the tattoo. I mixed a bit of my late cat and dog's ashes together to form the set of Roman numerals to represent 2012. MMXII will always mean something to me only because both pets passed away that year 2 weeks apart. Tim did my tattoo and made me feel relaxed even though I was silently freaking out because I haven't had a tattoo done in years! I managed to sit through the half hour it took, but I felt faint upon standing up. He was helpful to follow me outside and handed me a bottle of water and waited a little while until I said I was OK to go. He was very patient and informative with my daughter for her to choose what she wanted. She chose beautiful champagne colored studs He then advised us that he needs to sanitize and prep his station and the jewelry so it would be about 10 minutes. My daughter and I went back downstairs and waited a bit. After he was finished, he took us to his room and explained the process in detail to my daughter all along the way. He marked my daughter's ears and then measured her ear lobes and showed her where the earrings would be placed. Everything was sterilized and each needle is only used once and then disposed of properly. My daughter did have anxiety but didn't really show it, especially after the first ear lobe was done. James advised her how to breathe each time he would pierce her ear and she followed his directions. Again, he was very patient and professional. He gave her after care instructions and a cleanser. Since we are only visiting from Vegas, he told us to send an email about any follow ups regarding the posts in her ears if we wanted them shorter after they healed. He said he would reach out to his contacts in Vegas to help with this when the time comes. We were both very happy with the experience and my daughter was ecstatic with her new piercing. My wife and I walked in to get a consult about a cover up on my wife's hand. Nelson, the artist we wanted was busy with appointments. The shop owner, Rodney, noticed us and said he could do the tattoo that very night. We weren't expecting to get the tattoo right away, but him being the shop owner and lead artist, we thought we were lucky for this opportunity. What we got was a nightmare full of harassment instead. To keep this from getting far too descriptive and out of hand, we weren't happy with the cover up done by Rodney. My wife's hand was scarred because Rodney decided to christen his new rotary tattoo machine on my wife. The outline he did with the machine left a raised scar. The design was all swollen and didn't look quite right, but we were told to let it heal. We were offered the customary free touch up should there be issues with the tattoo healing. When we returned to the shop the week after, the owner refused to touch up the tattoo. Instead, his response to our dissatisfaction with his work was to insult my wife in front of other clients, and call her horrible names that I will not mention here. That was our last visit to the shop. One may think that this may have been an extraordinary case, but our previous observations at the shop should have clued us in to an experience like this.
