I wanted to share my excellent experience with Planet Stone. I completed the project in November in 2025. I am in OC and decided to go with PS after receiving numerous bids for my new shower surround. I did the bathroom remodel project myself but I required a professional stone fabrication company to fabricate and install 3 porcelain slabs for my shower surround (never use marble in a shower as it's porous). I had purchased them from a local shop and had PS pick them up from their warehouse for fabrication From my initial contact, the in house measurement employee and the 2 man installation crew everything about PS was top notch. I could tell this was not their first rodeo. My shower has a window, a shower valve and a shower head which required super accurate cuts using a CNC controlled water jet cutting machine. The measurements and installation were spot on. The installation crew did quality work and leveled all of the walls before professionally installing the pre-cut porcelain slabs. Being a OCD individual who has been in the construction industry for 40+ plus years I knew what to look for and had high expectations. I am happy to report that PS did not disappoint. I plan on using them again toward the end of 2026 when I get ready to remodel bathroom #2. I would highly recommend PS for any stone fabrication projects that you are considering. read more

I've used this shop now twice for two different kitchens and then for some side splashes in a bathroom. What I love is the quick efficient way they take care of everything. it's all methodical, the workers are nice, and it's a great price. What I don't love is the limited selection for composite quartz and that unfortunately what you order even after seeing the composite quartz, what you get may not be exactly the same. It appears to only happen when you do custom sizing. I was looking at a small sample that had reflective mirror chips in it and what I had installed doesn't have the same brilliance As the sample. I was told because it was a custom slab bigger than what is typically manufactured there could be slight differences. It still looks good, I just wanted more sparkle. Would I use them again? Yes. The price is right and they will definitely follow the time line they specify to a T. read more

As an interior designer for 34 years, I have seem a lot of changes over the past 10 years with the skill set of the building trades. Highlights: * Responsive and great communication with my salespeople Angela Bello and Giovanna Landey * Spot on template work for my undermount sink, corners, tops and edges. * Installers Oscar and Giovanni were pros. They were respectful of my property, carefully installed heavy tops around appliances, made perfect on-site cuts for outlets and holes and cleaned up the job site nicely. * Pricing for the job was very competitive because they have on-site manufacturing. I realize there are some negative reviews here and I was a bit concerned myself. I think photos are worth a thousand words so I'm attaching proof of their work quality. We had Planet Stone and specifically Jaime, as our fabricator & then they also installed for our renovation. Not only did they do an excellent job cutting and installing our quartz they also did a lovely job on our marble hearth for our fireplace. We had 3 jumbo slabs for our kitchen/bar project and that included a waterfall feature, mitered edges and a backsplash stove to ceiling plus we added a cap to our pony wall. Going in person to view our slabs and talk through the project with Jaime was really helpful and I would definitely recommend that. We are really pleased so far with how everything turned out and will definitely use them in the future should we decide to renovate the bathrooms or on our next future house. We are still waiting on getting our cheese boards from our quartz and marble that they were cutting from our leftover slabs but otherwise they were very quick! read more

My bf needed a Caesarstone bathroom vanity top (for a double sink) fabricated. He visited many countertop fabricators for several frustrating months but could not find the color he was looking for and/or any place who would take his job until he came across Planet Stone. Planet Stone had the color but his job fell well below Planet Stone's minimum square footage. Since Planet Stone had great customer service (thanks Nancy!) and was willing to take his job (at their minimum price), he decided to pay the difference. Within one week of placing the order, someone was over to take measurements and make a template. Within 3 weeks of placing the order, the installers were out at his home and the installation was done and looked great! The entire process was easy and stress free. Some of their mistakes might have been overlooked if they hadn't caused so much damage (broke an awning, put deep scratches in my Hi End Panoramic sliding doors, made mistakes in the measuring, left my house a filthy mess by leaving those same doors and all windows open (because "it was hot working inside" ) while one guy did the grinding outside with a prevailing wind towards the house. It was a disaster for a hefty price. Unfinished work under the counters, significant damage to trim and ultimately ill-fitting countertops! What should have taken a maximum of 3 days, took 10. Yes, 10 days. And they came twice beforehand to measure. They took every short cut they could for a job that was over $10K. Sadly, after months of good faith requests for coverage of the damage, they don't return calls or emails. KEEP AWAY! FYI They automatically charged my credit card without notifying me when they thought it was finished & when I wrote a nice note to say that I was unhappy with the outcome they denied everything (despite having pictures), threatened a Mechanics Lien if I disputed the Credit card charge and never returned phone calls or emails thereafter. Their lack of quality, lack of customer client care and unbelievable damage they left behind leaves me actively recommending AGAINST using them. The cleaning alone cost over $1000 because of the gritty dust in all the upholstery, drapes - EVERYTHING! I respect hard honest work and am willing to pay well for it. The amateurs from Planet Stone who came to install my farmers sink installed a support beam underneath that covered the drain holes. When the plumber came, he couldn't finish the job. Three days later I still have no kitchen sink. I am a renter. My landlord chose them. I did not. Rescheduling to get them to come back has been a nightmare. My outdoor kitchen countertop just got installed and they did an amazing job on fabricating it from the quartzite slab I got from San Fernando Marble and Tile. They did a mitre joint on the edge of the countertop and you can not see the seam - it looks like a solid piece of stone! They had quoted me an installation timeframe of 3 weeks after the measurement but it got installed much quicker than that. Happy that after a long backyard remodel being done by another contractor that something went much quicker than expected. read more

We needed all-new countertops. The old ones were long-gone since we had purchased the cabinets by themselves. I was visiting slab yards and speaking with countertop installers, but getting some pretty insane quotes to install. I was playing around online and found Planet Stone's deal for something like $29 per square foot of granite countertop. I asked for a quote, and got one the next day. They were upfront about pricing and lead-time. The pricing basically matched their promise on the web site. Other people (ie. slab yards, installers, random contractors) said not to trust the price, that the work would be substandard, etc. Of course, these same people were telling me, "You can't get a countertop for less than $80 to $120 per square foot." That's significantly more. These places typically had really shiny showrooms with lots of sales people (I'm talking about you, Kitchen Store); Planet Stone does not. They have a showroom with a ton of samples--all kinds of quartzes and granites, but it's not super fancy. I found them and their showroom far more approachable. I excitedly waited for Installation Day. I wasn't sure what to expect. The installation guys worked fast, but everything fit nicely. The countertop looks great--better than I expected. The kitchen sink sits nicely, and my slide-in range fits right in like it's built-in. It looks very nice. read more

Cheapest prices for granite and quartz around the area. My parents and I were shopping for a slab or a pre-fab countertop for an island and this is the cheapest place that can cut, shape, and install it. There are many many competitors in the area and this place beat them all, even Lowe's. Lowe's quote for us was by far the most expensive. We went to Planet Stone in the morning and got our quote, which we thought was expensive, but after shopping around, turns out that was the best price. So we ended up coming back right before they closed and purchased it from them. Pablo was the one who quoted us in the morning and we came back to him. He's such a nice guy with such a pleasant face. He's just an overall great guy to deal with. They have a really great selection of stone in your price range. They're all very beautiful. We encountered a repeat customer who said he was very happy with the counters and install in his kitchen. I would definitely come back here again if we need some more stone. read more

I am very disappointed in amy experience with Planet Stone. It was one of the first showrooms I went to and the service was not great. The sales person was un passionate an didn't seem that helpful. I realize she may be very introverted and possibly in the wrong position. I shopped several stores online and sent out quotes to a number of store places. The first initial contact with Gloria was great. The response was quick, she was friendly and accommodating and returned my calls promptly. Because of that , I ignored my initial impression and decided to move forward with them. The appointment for templating happened on time. The counters were measured, no template done. I didn't know this initially as the contractor handled this in the last remodel. When the installation appointment happened - (the installer Franciso is fabulous..), there were mistakes. There was also a problem with the cabinets which had to do with poor work by my cabinet guy, not planet stones fault. They came out again to fix things which was a positive, and sent the same installer. There are still issues and a lack of communication through the entire process. I have had to call more than once to see if there are coming out. They were scheduled to come out today to finish the job. I have had to call them several times to see what times they were coming. I took the day off work and again called when they didn't show up. No one bothered to call me and tell me they would not be out this morning. I called an hour after the stated time that they would be here and discovered that they would not be here. They are great at initial contact and have great installers. I think the lack if communication and the lack of a proper template is something I sincerely hope they can do better in the future. read more

Executive summary: I went without water in my kitchen for two weeks due to these guys' mess-ups. However, the end result looks great. First, when they came out to measure, one of the guys gave me a ten-minute lecture on how I need a husband to deal with all of this for me. Gross, and we are off to a bad start already. Next, they just gave an installation time, and didn't check first I told them they need to be done by 12:30 because i have a meeting. At 12:45 they were still at it (they had to re-cut some because they measured incorrectly) and I left them to finish. They said that'd be fine. When I come home to find that they didn't drill faucet holes, I call and they won't come back for seven days to do it. One week. Day 7 after first install, they return to drill the holes, show me the holes are big enough, and leave. I find however that they incorrectly cut ply-board underneath, so the washer and bolt underneath didn't fit, despite me giving them manufacturer specs - and the actual faucet. I called immediately and was told they would come back same-day. I waited at home for four hours and they never came or called. I called and they said no, the next afternoon. They never called or came. I called and they said no, in four days. All the while they are trying to make me feel that it is my fault. How is the actual granite, you ask? The side is cracked in one place, and it's clear they glued it back together. The bullnose seams are quite visible. Other than that it really looks wonderful, no sarcasm. The show room is impressive, the Granite prices are very very good. The customer service is above average. We used them to measure and install granite in the kitchen, fireplace, x2 bathrooms. Very happy with everything. Except... you would think after spending all this money that they would throw in the price for plywood by now right? So when the contractor shows up at 9am he can't do the job due to the fact we haven't paid for ply wood? This is $40? Why everytime make a stink when we are loyal repeat customers. Three experiences: Kitchen counters, bathroom vanity, and kitchen in a rental unit The two really bad reviews on here if you notice are from the SAME couple. NOT FAIR!! I have never had a bad experience like that. There were some communication issues at one point with Alejandra, but management has fixed it. That is not the case anymore. Jaime & Gloria are both sweethearts who have always tried to make sure we are happy. BIG TIP: Your install is related to your cabinets, your own descriptions and instructions, and supervision. If your cabinets are not installed right your counter will suffer. Our vanity is crooked, the wall is crooked (bad contractor) thus the counter is angled. Oh well, still looks amazing. Every installation I have done, I went over the measurements with the guy who comes in order to 'walk through' the counters with him. This helps to limit misunderstandings about what you want. Also during installation I check in periodically to make sure they are doing the things I want. If I see something, I ask. Right away. PROS: Cheap. Like really. Cheap. Good quality. Plenty of options, colors, and styles. The installers are very helpful (one of my cabinets was installed wrong and my stove wouldn't have fit, they moved it.) CONS: You should supervise the work being done (like any project you do anyhow, so not really a con.) read more

Our home is a 45 minute drive, but the trip to the Planet Stone showroom was worth the time. Aside from the well stocked facility, I was most impressed with the attitude of the staff. They were energetic, enthusiastic, and professional. Most of all, they were ... patient! Thank you Irma for all your quick responses. We had many questions and had a difficult time deciding, for our new kitchen counter top, on which type and color of stone to choose. The sales staff offered design ideas, decision criteria, and gave us samples to take home to compare to our wall, floor, and cabinet colors. The shop supervisor showed us how they bond the seams. It took us two weeks: several phone calls to the sales office and another trip to the showroom before we decided on granite and the specific color of granite. The next step was measurement of our counter by one of their engineers - he arrived on time and made several design suggestions as he laid out the templates. He took our new sink to the shop to make an accurate cutout. The installers arrived on schedule, they laid out floor covering to protect our new hardwood flooring and cleaned up all residue. Oscar, the lead installer, illustrated his master skill as we made a small design change on the spot. Our friends who had recommend Planet Stone were correct. Let me start by saying, remodeling a kitchen on your own is a huge undertaking. You learn that there are some things you can do on your own and somethings that need to be left to professionals. To be frank, the Team at Planet Stone saved my ass. I had been remodeling my kitchen while my wife was away on business and my goal was to be finished before she returned which just happened to be the day I was having a huge party for the Mayweather vs. Canelo fight My father is a contractor and based on the material I wanted to install (perla quartzite $$$) he felt that it should be installed by a professional. I could not be more happy with the installation. I really wanted to limit the amount of seams and the team at PS made a crazy "L" shaped piece that included my sink and the bay window return. The peice was huge and weighed a ton, but the installers man-handled it into my house and put it in place as if they were dropping a sleeping baby into its crib. The installers were very professional and covered my new floors with furni pads. (they actually took their shoes off when they came to measure, which confused me before I realized they were worried about tracking dirt in.) My kitchen countertops look beautiful and I would recommend that you spend the little extra for a nice edge, mine is "ogee" and it makes it look special. Jamie, Alejandra and the installation crew were truly amazing and they delivered on everything I requested within the extremely tight time we had. Bottom line for people who are in a hurry and don't want to read details....Planet Stone did a wonderful job from start to finish. I went to their showroom in Sun Valley to take a look at the types of granite they had. Yes its a bare bones, no frills warehouse. But that's not a bad thing. In fact it helps keep their costs down. They have plenty of sample stone to look at and choose from. A very nice woman named Sandra helped me. She worked up a price right then and there based on the square footage I provided. Later a nice woman named Giovanna coordinated everything to arrange the install, including someone to do a detailed exact measurement of my kitchen. They showed up to do the install exactly when they said they would. The crew knew exactly what they were doing. They were real pros. They meticulously cleaned up afterward. The only thing they didn't do was completely re-hook the plumbing under the sink. They didn't put silicone around the sink. But they told me this in advance. I'll have a handyman do that. For that minor inconvenience, I paid less than half the price Home Depot quoted me for similar granite. I'll call Planet Stone for my next project too. They are so great! read more

In the tireless search for making a complete gut of our kitchen remodel into a modern IKEA kitchen work within our budget, everyone kept telling me that when it came to Quartz countertops I would not find anything cheaper than Ikea. Since Ikea's quote ended up being $4500 for a countertop that I did not like a 100% and that did not provide a waterfall on my peninsula that I so wanted, I took on the challenge to find something more affordable. Turns out that Planet Stone carries the exact same countertops as IKEA for less money and they do have so much more. I was looking for something with a little glitter but would have settled for the same stone that Ikea quoted me on. I called and started working with Nancy Barrera. She had endless patience with my idea over the phone and started quoting me different quartz scenarios with and without the peninsula waterfall. She could do all of this fairly easy based on the drawings I sent her. Going out to Sun Valley was a "one time" proposition since it was too far to drive just to discuss potential quotes. In the initial phase Nancy was able to underbid each and every Ikea scenario by close to $1000. The only difference was that by purchasing from Planet Stone, I was going to be responsible for the whole slab of stone, meaning I would have to pay a lower square footage rate for the unused, uninstalled quartz, as opposed to Ikea where I only paid per square foot of what I had to have installed. Nancy was always very upfront with me saying that the unused portion could be an accumulation of smaller cut outs or angled pieces and only in some cases leftover would be useable. It was all to be determined after the template was to be drawn. But even based on that Planet Stone had the better price. I read through reviews on yelp and started to get insecure, perhaps this was too good to be true? Really tight on budget I had no choice but to just go with it. When I was finally nearing the installation of cabinetry, I went up to Sun Valley to meet with Nancy and put down a deposit. The business is in a funky industrial area, that was not really easy to find, but it was clear right away that their great pricing was also based on the fact that they did not have a showroom in Beverly Hills. Nancy showed me the different option outside of the Ceasarstone that Ikea sold and it turned out that they just had was I was looking for: white with a little glitter from another manufacturer which ended up being $10 cheaper per sq ft than the Ceasarstone! We priced it with my waterfall scenario and we beat Ikea by about $1500. A few weeks later the guy came to take the template. He was courteous, clean, on time. Did his work meticulously, fine tuned our quote, we gave him our second deposit. After having gone through great pains in the remodel already we were very eager to finish and Nancy scheduled us an install date within 8 business days, which was phenomenal. The day of the install the guys came. There was a slight delay, which could be quickly resolve by calling the Planet Stone office and they got to work. They did a beautiful job and worked most of the day, fitting and polishing away. Best of all - we ended up having a solid cutout of leftover piece which we will use for an outdoor kitchen to be built next year. I highly recommend Planet Stone ! read more

I drove all the way to planet stone and my experience started out with great service, they came out took measurements and the guy was very nice. The installers come out they install the faucet holes incorrectly which my plumber that night wasn't able to install which resulted in no working faucets in both bathrooms for 4 days for the plumber to reschedule. Then they install the incorrect counter tops in the laundry room. So instead of all this completed in one of my days. It has taken 3 days off work so far for them to install the plumbers to come out a different day and the installers to fix the improperly installed faucet holes and I still have the wrong counter tops. The customer service here has been terrible, the experience with planet stone has been a nightmare! read more
